He curled tighter to the corner when he heard the door open. He heard the foot steps, ?Naruto? Come on Naru-Kun. It?s not that bad, your mission was a success. Come celebrate with us!? he pulled away from Ino?s hand and Sakura?s voice. He heard to more sets of foot steps. He looked up to see Sasuke holding the five vodka bottles Naruto had drank sense he?d gotten to his apartment, ?Naruto? What the hell are these?? Shika had come as well as Choji. Sasuke grabbed Naruto?s collier, ?What the fuck are these! ANSWER ME NARUTO!? They were all glaring. He looked away sadly Sasuke followed his gaze to a white cloth with red splotches and a few razors. Sasuke slammed him into a wall.
?Sasuke! Don?t?? Sakura stopped when Shika came out with the cloth and razors. She covered her mouth as tears filled her eyes. Sasuke had dropped Naruto Like he was a spider or snake, the look was the same, ?WHAT THE HELL! NARUTO! YOUR SUCH A DIPSHIT!? Sasuke stormed out of the room, ?I?m sorry.? they all looked at Naruto. This was his safe phrase. He?d always thought that if he said this, every one would forgive him, ?I sorry, I know it was wrong, but the vodka making me puke felt good and so did the cold razor. I?m sorry.? Sakura hugged Naruto. Her touch made him flinch, so did her sobs and her whispers of pity.
Sasuke was fuming when Shikamaru went to get him. He probably would have hit Shika if he hadn?t used a holding technique, ?Sasuke. Naruto hasn?t stopped apologizing sense you left the room. It?s obvious he?s apologizing to you ?cause you?re the one who yelled.? Sasuke broke Shikamaru?s technique. Sasuke walked back into Naruto?s room. Naruto looked up and smiled slightly, ?I?m sorry, Sasuke. I know your mad, but I?m sorry any way.? Sasuke walked over to Naruto. Everyone waited for the sound smack of Sasuke?s hand hitting Naruto?s face. When the didn?t hear it they looked to see Sasuke hugging Naruto, ?Your forgiven? Yah. Your forgiven.? he put his hand on Naruto?s head. Sakura smiled and left, Shika, Ino and Choji followed.
Not one of them knew what Sasuke was about to ask till they heard it, ?You want to die. Don?t you? Naruto.? Sakura turned and saw Naruto nodded, ?Do you want to die now? Do you want me to?? a sob left Sasuke?s mouth, ?Do you want me to kill you?? Naruto nodded again. They all saw this, ?Sasuke don?t!? the call was to late. He cut Naruto?s head off with a swift movement, ?SASUKE! Why?? he looked at his girl-friend and smiled.
?Sakura? What would you do? if you fond an animal that you couldn?t heal? no matter what you tried?? she thought and came with one answer, ?I?d kill it.? Sasuke nodded. That?s what he thought, ?That was Naruto. I tried everything. I showed him how vodka felt, and his attackers showed him the feeling of getting cut. The more I tried, the more we tried, the worse it got.? Sakura was about to cry. Sasuke continued, ?Naruto was a wounded fox, even the demon in side him was dead. They both need death.? he smiled.
It was a week later. Naruto was buried next to the forth Hokage, his father. The next day all of his friends, The Rookie Nine and Neji, Lee and Ten-ten had all died on the same night. The Hokage had a statue made for their great heroes. All mourned the loss of the heroes, but what startled all those who loved Naruto was everyone prayed for him and the others. The whole village fell apart with grief. It was easily destroyed by it?s enemies.
Itachi went back and read the stone, as did Orochimaru. Both sighed at the loss of their home and ones, thought they did hate them, they loved. They both noticed that eleven of the graves had the same date, ?They died for one man? a man who wanted to die and leave his friends happy and healthy. Yet, despite his efforts, they followed him into the next life. Just like the village that hated him. So, I guess? he?ll have a hell of his own in heaven.? Itachi smiled and put his hand on his brothers face, ?Even Ototo-chan gave up his bright future for Naruto.? Orochimaru shrugged and touched the grave of Naruto.
?You know Itachi? I could bring them back. For a final good bye?? Itachi shook his head, ?Ok. But remember a chance at a second life is exactly what they need." they smiled, and Orochimaru began the 'giving life jutsu'
