Like many others, my first introduction to the wonderful world of fanfiction was ff.net... which can be a scary place for a het shipper like me. I haven't abandoned my account there, but sometimes I just need a refuge of all the yaoi/slash and bashing there... the fear of getting flamed or bashed because I write Relena like she was meant to be written, or write any female character in whatever fandom in a way that's not so distorted that it automatically drives their canon love interests into the arms of another guy, is very stressful, sometimes.
I'd been meaning to sign up here someday for a while already, but ever since I met about a dozen wonderful people on ff.net's forums who all turned out to be yaoi-shippers, I've been dying to meet some people with whom I can discuss my favourite ships without feeling awkward.
I'm not anti-yaoi/slash, though. I've written some yaoi for Gundam Wing(
weird experience), and I have a special fondness for yuri in general. It's just that, unless it's experimental, I love my canon the way it is, and I always come back to 1xR, 2xH etc. Seeing literally three times as many 1x2 than 1xR (I've counted), and all those authors acting like it's canon... to put it simply, let's just say I get tired of it.I'm already having lots of fun here.

Cadet Omnicat signing up to officially join the ranks of the Gundam Wing Het Brigade.Hm, about my writing... lots of short, fluffy and/or humorous stuff, though I'm beginning to explore my tearjerking side, and the plots are getting longer and longer the more I practice. My style has been discribed as "short, but sweet" and "really relaxed"
