Lyn got out of her bed. She had to get ready for school or she'd be late again. Mr Pik didn't take lateness very lightly. He beat anyone who came in late 45 times with his thick, oak stick. But no one ever complained. They just couldn't.
Walking to the bathroom she spotted red droplets on the floor. "What is that?" she thought. As she continued to walk, she came across more and more droplets of the red stuff, and each time they just grew bigger and bigger.
"Where did it come from?"
The red thing smelt terrible, an unfamiliar, yet familiar smell.
It brought back strange memories and dreams like the one she had last night. The one where her parents were brutally murdered, by the Josten Gang. Everyone had to keep out of there way. One rude word....could be the end of you.
Still absorbed in her ponderings, she didn't notice the shrill screaming that came from her bedroom door.

I couldn't believe what had happened. She just lay there, not dead, but almost dead. She was soaked in dark, red blood; coming from a wound in her thigh. I had no idea something like this would ever happen to my sister. But i never bothered to ask. Never bothered to find out what went on in her life. I always pushed her away, much rather be with my friends than with her.
Now i remember correctly, she always had this terrified look on her face whenever she came to me. Had she been asking for help? Was she being bullied? Who did this to her? Did she? Was it because we, no I constantly pushed her away?
And now i regret now.
