Will I Have The Courage?
By Symee-Sama

Will I have the courage?
My hand trembles, as I reach,
Reach for you, but my hands only grasp air,
Why did you leave me?
A tear slides down my cheek,
A broken promise
I said I wouldn?t cry.
I have to be strong.
I needed you. I still need you.
Your strength, your love,
Why couldn?t you see that?
I remember the day you left.
You told me you were going.
Told me that you loved me,
But you had to leave.
You promised that you?d come back,
That you?d come back to me.
Liar!
You never came back!
My anger fades,
And is replaced by despair.
I can?t do this,
Live like this.
I won?t!
I keep telling myself I won?t.
I?m a liar too.
But the lies will end now.
Will I have the courage?
My hand trembles, as I reach,
Reach for you, but my hands only grasp air,
Why did you leave me?
I shiver,
Tears flowing freely down my face
As I reach down,
And one hand grasps cold steel.
My other hand reaches once again,
And traces the letters
Of your tombstone.
You lied.
You didn?t come back.
The gun comes up,
And I tremble slightly.
Will I have the courage?
I stare at your grave.
You lied.
I wipe away my tears.
I lied too.
My resolve hardens.
The lies end now.
My finger twitches on the trigger,
And the world is swallowed
By a single blunt shot.
Author's Note: Okay, just to clear up misconceptions that were brought to my attention when my parents and friends read this... No, I am NOT suicidal, and I don't think that suicide is courageous either, I was just trying to write it as she would think about it. Alrighty? PLeas tell me what you think! Criticism, Praise, and your interpretations accepted! :p

this was really touching, i'm so into poems like this these days. Usually helps to get over the hard day past. It sorta reminds me of Relena.
