[At the end of the last chapter, Relena told Duo that she would find out why Hilde hasn?t talked to him in a while if he would find out what had become of Heero. This chapter focuses on the Relena/Hilde end]

Hilde rang Relena?s doorbell. Relena had invited her over for lunch, while she actually just wanted the opportunity to talk to her. She had no intention of telling her friend what had happened between her and Duo, which turned out to be a very good thing.
?Hi Hilde! How have you been! I haven?t seen you since, well, since we planned the wedding,? she said, her voice trailing off as she said the last part.

Hilde gave her a hug and a big smile. ?Don?t worry, sweetie, he?ll turn up.?

She and Relena walked into the living room. Relena offered her coffee but she refused. It wasn?t quite lunch time, so they sat around and talked. Relena finally managed to bring the conversation around to the Hilde/Duo situation. Hilde seemed nervous talking about it.

?Duo says that you haven?t talked to him in two weeks?what?s up, Hilde? When we were planning my wedding you couldn?t talk about anything BESIDES Duo.?

?Well, Relena, the truth is, I?ve?I?ve been afraid to talk to him, because, well?I?m pregnant.?

Relena?s jaw couldn?t possibly have dropped any lower. Whatever she had been expecting, it wasn?t this. She was struck dumb for several moments, and then she broke out in a wide smile that masked the panic she was feeling inside?the other night had DEFINITELY been a mistake! ?Congratulations Hilde, that?s so great!? She gave her friend a big hug. ?When?s it due? Do you know if it?s a boy or a girl? Details, honey, details!?

Hilde laughed. ?The baby is due in September and I don?t know if it?s a boy or a girl?there?s no way of knowing at this point and I don?t want to know until it?s born. But for the time being, it can be a she.? The pair erupted in a fit of giggles. They fixed lunch and it was good, too. ?So Hilde, when are you going to tell him? You can?t keep this a secret from him; I mean, he?s the father!! And eventually, he?s going to find out?there is no way to hide that kind of thing forever.?

Hilde sighed. ?I guess you?re right Relena. I?ll tell him today.?

?You have no reason to be scared of him, Hilde. He?ll be so happy. You two are going to get married, aren?t you??

?Of COURSE we?re going to get married?he just doesn?t know it yet.? They broke out in laughter again, but all the while Relena hoped to dear God that she wasn?t pregnant, too.

A/N: I know this chapter was short, and the next one will be, too, but they?ll get long again, I promise?my stories are like hair hehehe.

Right, now I'm confused... this wasn't in the plot line we discussed. But never the less, a very nice plot twist.
