Daydreamers

Why do we always wish for fairly impossible things?
Craving things that don?t exist
Wanting things we don?t deserve
Dreaming of things we don?t understand

We all believe we?re heroes
We want to become birds and fly
Lose our inhibitions and forget how to be shy
Become giants and conquer the world

We want to reach planets far beyond
We crave to capture angels with our hands
Bathe ourselves in stardust
And dance wildly while sparkling with moondust

We want to walk on water
Or become fish and live eternally undersea
We want to fly into the heavens above
Sprout wings and become angels despite our sins

But in our hearts, we?re just children
Small bits of life, innocent and naive
Thinking we possess the greater knowledge
When we can?t even walk a straight line without falling

Dreamers, we?re called
We, who believe in fairies and heroes
Who wish to dance in sparkling silver
In wild places we don?t know

Just let us dream, heartbreakers
Let us close our eyes and smile
Be children in our hearts
Let us wish for impossible things

Let us play and dance to the fairies? lullaby
Let us laugh and run across the moon
Let us fly and soar beside our heroes
Unshakle us and let us be angels forever

I usually don't read poems or relate to often to them....but.....yeah. You surprise me at ever turn. It was so full of emotion. I could see you writing away, trying to get everything out before it slipped away. I love this. Yes...love it!! I need to write this down somewhere and carry it in my wallet.
