Band of Brothers is about the true story of the paratroopers of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne during World War II. There's interviews with the surviving soldiers before each episode that deal with whatever that episode is covering. It chronicles their time from basic to their taking of Hitler's...Eagle Nest? It's very poignant and amazing and heart wrenching and beautiful all at the same time. It was produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. There are 10 eps in all I believe on 6 DVDs (boxset that cost moneymoney). Definitely recommend it. Especially if you watched right after Sept. 11. Also it was based upon the book Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. I need to get that book. Oh and some the actors are mighty nice to look at. ^_^ Men in uniform.... *fans self*

Was somewhat funny though. This weekend I ended up buying 3 DVDs dealing with WW2 whether true or imagined (Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, and Band of Brothers).

And Itachi is a sociopath that I cannot for the life of me hate (unless he does something horrid to Sakura then I may just change my mind). Dangerously sexy. ROWR!

P.S. The number 506 also applies to Easy Company but I currently cannot remember if it was division or something else. Meep!

101st Airborne Division 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment 2nd Batallion Easy Company.

It was deactivated I believe, after WW2, but is being reactivated and looking for soldiers to fill it's rank. I'm trying to get some of my friends to go there so when I comission I can get into the Regiment. The best part is they are going to make the Regiment an actual Airborne unit and get away from Air Assault tactics, which is good. The army is all about tradition:roll: but this time it's good.

Sanity has been eluding me for quite some time I think. Everytime I'm about to catch up to it, poof! It's gone. I think I've finally decided that it's just too stressful to stay sane and shall instead embrace insanity.

Exactly. Itachi is very calm and logical about his insanity. And, like you said Melrose, sanity and insanity are really just understood in terms of the majority of the populace... ^_^

I have a nice semi-essay somewhere that a friend wrote once on the topic. I don't think I saved it though...

Fangirls and Fanboys are just crazy though. ^_^
