Convincing Sango that her relationship with Inuyasha was innocent was no longer an issue since Sango made up her mind to support her friend, telling her that she did not need to deny such an exciting relationship. It was all wrong for her -Kagome knew that, but as long as she knows herself that she was doing nothing wrong and so immoral with Inuyasha, she would just have to digest the fact that Sango saw the situation that way.
Well, it wasn?t such a good idea in the first place but having him on her place finally didn?t cause stirrings. She just wished Sango wouldn?t ask if they slept like real lovers because she would probably just run out of explanations and leave her friend, yet again with a green mind.

Kagome opened her window and let the wind blow in her room. She closed her eyes and let the wind tousle her hair. For common freshmen like Sango, Monday nights were for studying, projects and study groups. For a weird freshman-half-angel, Kagome could excuse herself from the mortal stress and have quiet moments like these to herself. School work was easy, she had been to several classes even before becoming human. Solving algebra and memorizing were not her problems. In fact, she did not have anything to worry about.

Her hanyou friend was with Miroku. Like Sango and she, Miroku instantly got fond of Inuyasha, liked him as a friend despite his sharp tongue and curses. If only Miroku knew that they were long acquainted since he was still on fours.

Her mortal side could not help but feel worried about Inuyasha, fearing where Miroku would take the hanyou. Strip clubs and orgies were the first thing that came to her mind when Miroku asked Inuyasha to hang out several days ago. Or maybe they would watch some porn movies first and then go to the night clubs and party. Happy hour meant plenty of women, sluts and whores all in the same room with drunks, juvenile delinquents, college seniors trying to be mature and of course, half-human demons that just want to have some fun -just like every human male does.

What would it be like -to have him have a woman or two in his arms on her door or to listen to his tales of his sexual fantasies coming true before going home? The sound of his voice, half-drunk and dazed, slurring his words of amusement to the world, thanking even God Himself for allowing him to be half-human thus freeing him from all his years of sexual frustration?

Her eyes stared into the dark sky instead, brushing the thoughts aside. How long has it been since she had used her wings and fly without care? To fly was to be free and Kagome would not keep track of the time when she flew. Before she did not even bother to go home but wandered carelessly invisible in the city but now it was very different. Inuyasha demanded her presence when he came home later than she did.
There had been one specific time when she came home late from the library, having got caught in reading a novel about angels and demons. She went inside her own home to be greeted by a snarling hanyou, claiming that she had better told him her whereabouts. She stared at him then, wondering why he was so concerned and he found the excuse that he was hungry. It was a lame reason since he perfectly knew how to ready himself a cup of his favorite ramen. She knew that the hanyou was getting a tad bit too soft.

She sighed for the umpteenth time not even knowing why she sounded so depressed and worried.

Inuyasha was the weirdest hanyou she had ever known. Yes, he did curse a lot, called her names, teased her most of the time, ordered her around like he owned her, and that stupid habit of answering her questions with grunts and snorts. It was quite hard to read his mind or to interpret the meaning of his grumbles. But lately, he had been laughing a lot. He seemed somewhat enjoying himself when they were teasing or when he would to something stupid or disgusting to irritate her.

There was one time when they were eating stew together and in their silence, he flicked a cubed carrot from his bowl into her blouse -making her jump, her wings threatening to unleash by such sudden reaction, her eyes wide and her brows meeting in irritation -he laughed. He laughed at her just the way she first heard him laugh when they were together in Goshinbu, meeting and being together for the first time.

She wanted to feel angry but what could she possibly do? Maybe that was a demon's nature, to feel pleasure in making others feel such irritation and anger. Surely they ate and enjoyed dark pleasure like humans breathe in air. So she settled to play his game, flicking one back at him, surprising him, making him laugh all the more.
It was both entertaining and reassuring that he was laughing.

Indeed, Inuyasha was a weird hanyou because he was good. There were several times Kagome had to blink twice to see if he really was there -behaving like he was.

It took time for her breathing to return to normal, to calm her eager wings when he held her so close in his arms every morning when she woke up. These morning scenarios disturbed Kagome greatly, the warmth in her chest present the whole day she had to feel guilty. Being held so close as if she were possessed by him was wrong, but being locked in his arms in a way she could only imagine so tender felt so right -she was so positive that God, her Boss, was not even against such gesture.

Kagome closed her eyes shut and wondered for the hundredth time why he was always in her mind. She liked to be with him and watch his mysterious, unpredictable amber eyes turn serious when he would leave her, telling her that he would be back when the day ended. It confused Kagome why she waited for him, why she even consented him coming back. It perplexed her even more to feel so concerned about him every single minute they were together and every single second they were apart.

"Interesting? you love him already?"

Greatly alarmed by the deep voice that seemed to echo in her head, the strong presence vibrating, somewhat filling the room, Kagome turned around in surprise. As she saw who it was, her fists clenched against her sides. Inu? No? "Sesshoumaru?"

He did not flinch nor show any emotion. He stood there with such graceful authority, his calm countenance countered his anger-filled amber eyes.

"W-what?why are you here?" Kagome finally asked. He had startled her so much, her heart pounded wildly against her chest until it hurt. She took a step back only to feel the cold windowpane.

He still did not answer, his questionable and hurtful gaze sending all kinds of messages in her brain.

Closing her eyes, she prayed in her mind and gathered the strength to speak once more, this time her ardent wings springing behind her as if for support. She tried to calm herself and tried her best to sound sane and unshaken.

"You dare come within my borders, demon?" she asked this with command in her voice, trying hard to be Heaven's angel that she was.

He smirked at her and raised a brow. "I'm not impressed, angel. Your words, too, weren't chosen wisely. Do you hear yourself?"

Inuyasha?

"I did not come to say much."

"Then get out," she whispered, her gaze torn from his.

"But to warn you," he continued, ignoring her command.

"Get out!" she demanded, her wings extending wide behind her back, exposing it's entire length behind her. She must have looked so much like an angel for battle that brought demons into sacred fear. The demon was challenging her, what must he know that she did not?

"See?" he replied as if reading her mind, just one word like an electric current across the room, piercing right through her heart as she saw what he meant.

Behind the demon spread huge, elegant wings, very much similar to her own, only that they were of a confusing metallic hue of raven black and metallic gray -the wings of the Fallen.

"Something for you to think about, angel."

A cold breeze entered the room and he disappeared, leaving Kagome once again alone in the room.

Trembling, she fell on her knees, her most unwanted feeling of fear consuming her like fire. Her breaths were shortened, due to the pain in her chest that was full of tension and the thought and feel that she was drowning, sinking deeper into the abyss of mortal doubts and foreboding.

Tears spilled on her cheeks at the realization of what has happened, of what was revealed to her by the demon.
She raised her hands to heaven, but her wings -the only thing keeping her connected to her immortality, fell without energy behind her? she was tired and hurting.

But the light from Heaven did not appear, not even expressing a bit of reality to her, she drew her hands to her pounding heart, hoping to feel comfort. Like her heart, tormented she sobbed in the darkness of what seemed to feel so human. To be so weak, to feel so much pain.
She whispered the hanyou's name and she knew that there was love in her voice as she said it again for the second time, more tears spilling down her cheeks.

She looked at the ceiling, her true stare piercing through Heaven. "God? do not forsake me. Please do not forsake Your servant. And please, oh God, please take care of him??

Oh, their definitely in love!!!
I feel so bad for Kagome, Seshy was meaan!
Inuyasha better guard his back and Kagome as well.
It seems as though the world is frowing on their relationship.
Inuyasha is so cute, he is obviously over protective of her. I like it how she
waits for him and he tells her he will be back!
I loved this chapter it was filled with exciting moments and angst all around!
