Disclaimer: But of course, I do not own Inuyasha.

Jurei, Sendo

Sango tried hard to catch her breath after a long run from the classroom, away from the handsome young man who blocked her way -though a little fragment of regret caught her heart and mind by surprise. She looked at the girl who rescued her from the situation.

"Thanks a lot," Sango said. She extended a hand. "Sango."

The girl looked up at her and took her hand for a shake. "Kagome."

As Sango got a full view of the girl's face, her heart warmed. She instantly felt friendship bursting in the air between them. Automatically, she flung her arms around her rescuer and newfound friend. "Thanks so much for saving me back there!"

Kagome giggled softly as Sango hugged her with gratitude. "No problem."

Sango drew back and smiled. "I was really trapped, you know."

The girl nodded and shrugged. "I don?t blame you. Didn?t you know who that was?"

Sango shook her head in a clueless stare.

"That was Miroku Satoshi, the so-called 'King' of Goshinbu University," Kagome said in low tones. "Rich and handsome Miroku. He's known to be a real heart-breaker but still, girls fall for him all the time. He's been the best in the field in the last four years."

"Oh."

"Avoid him at all costs for your purity's sake, Sango. Don?t believe his words emotionally because believe me, he's a good for nothing."

Sango nodded in agreement. Then she raised a teasing brow at her new friend and wondered if Kagome fell for the guy once in the past. "How come you know so much about him?"

Kagome quickly avoided her gaze. "Well? it just so happens that I live in the neighborhood. So I know a lot."

"Okay? well then? what's your next class?"

"What's yours?"

"Algebra."

"Me, too!"

Sango smiled as both of them walked together to their next class. Aside from her encounter with Miroku, things were really good. Who would ever think she'd have a friend so soon? Stealing a glance at her side, Sango could not help but admire the lovely girl beside her. There was something beautiful and good that vibrated from Kagome, it easily made Sango feel at home and at peace.

College life would be quite interesting.

Inuyasha took in a deep breath and tried to lessen the tension forming between his temples. Like Miroku, his pride was all scattered on the ground. Yes they got turned down before but there was something undefined that made the disappointing situation piss him off all the more.

Miroku quickly took comfort in one of his women, trying hard not to think of his failure with the girl earlier.

He could not help but feel angered. Inuyasha was left to think of ways to trace, get rid and figure the situation at hand while the boy got to rest his lucky head on a woman's chest for consolation.

Glancing at Miroku's comfortable head, Inuyasha snorted but knew Miroku was good on his own. He quickly roamed through the campus halls, searching and sniffing the scent that ignited his curiosity and agitation.

Where are you, bitch?

At the moment, Inuyasha did not know to whom he was referring to. The chic Miroku wanted to hit on or the one who rescued her from their lair. He was not even sure why the rescuer was even included in the scenario.

Well damn she really was included! Inuyasha snarled angrily. She interrupted his way to success! Damn her, whoever and wherever she was!

Then he spotted her walking with the babe Miroku had the hots for.

It's time to get to business! Inuyasha thought wildly inside his head. Picking a random student for his plan, he pushed the student's hand roughly against the bitch's behind.

But to his dismay, she caught the hand and with a wild blush, she raised a brow and pushed the student's hand away.

"Hentai!" Miroku's chic exclaimed loudly.

Inuyasha's victim -the student, ran to the opposite direction confused, unable to explain how his hand jerked towards the lady.

"Nice going, Kagome!" Sango cheered happily for her friend, greatly appealed by the concept of 'Girl Power'.

"Kagome?" Inuyasha said, feeling the taste of her name on his lips. So the rescuer was named Kagome.

"They better watch out, Sango! I'm no ordinary girl!"

Sango? so that was Miroku's chic. Inuyasha grimaced with disgust. How he angered that the situation made him so helpless. If only he was hanyou, he would have taken advantage of such futile humans.

~~~
Sango could not help but notice the chemistry she and Kagome had. They had the same interests and taste; they were more like twins than friends! What amazed Sango was Kagome's unusual countenance on her. It was hard to believe that they just knew each other a few weeks ago.
Her gaze settled on her computer. The professor's assignment for tonight was very hard. Boredom was starting to swallow her whole and she would dry out in no time.
Hearing a knock on the door, Sango felt thankful for the someone who remembered her at this time of night. She dearly wished it were Kagome. She twisted the knob and pulled the door open only to reveal the weed in her flowerbed.
The scene was so familiar; Sango had second thoughts of closing the door on the man.
On her door was Miroku Satoshi.
~~~

Inuyasha clicked his tongue as he shook his head with pride. Yep? Miroku was really it. He wanted to give the boy an award for being so damn obedient.
Figures the boy planned to get back at Sango by being aloof with other women and try to make her think that he suffered from the common disease of 'love at first sight.'

Inuyasha couldn?t help to see what his boy would do. But of course, the boy needed some good pushing. He bent his head closer to the human's ear and whispered, "Tell her she looks beautiful."

"You look real good tonight, Sango-chan."

The girl blushed just as the demon expected. But he took note that the girl's hand was still gripping the doorknob -a sign that she was still hesitant. Not a good sign but worth working for.

"Now tell her that she's been in your mind for so long."

Miroku blushed at the thought.

Why was it taking so long to say it? His patience was running out.
Then it hit Inuyasha.

The boy was not following his instructions like the way he always does! Was it possible that his pone was? in love?

Inuyasha cursed, his anger threatening to explode.

"Is that all you have to say? I'm doing a research paper and I don?t have time to fool around with jerks." Sango looked away but there was a blush on her face. She motioned to close the door but the young man pleaded.

"Wait. Please." Miroku scratched the back of his head. "I was just thinking. Maybe you could give me a chance?"

"Why should I?"

"To date you," Miroku whispered softly.

"But I don?t date men like you. I thought I made it clear several times before."

"I understand but?" Miroku looked shattered and his usual bravado a hundred times lower. "Please? just give me a chance. I want to know who you are."

Sango looked at him, shock in her eyes. Why was this man acting this way towards her? She could not help but notice the grief and sadness in those eyes that looked at her with such plea and hope. But then again, Kagome's warnings twirled inside her mind. This was probably one of his schemes to get what he wants. "Why me, Satoshi? There are hundreds of women in Goshinbu."

"But they're not you. You're different, I can feel it."

"But I'm not."

"Then you don?t know who you really are." Miroku grinned at her with the silly blush on his face. "See you after your last class tomorrow. I'm taking you out for dinner."

Sango shook her head. "No-"

"Bye!" Miroku happily said as he went to his car and left, making sure he did not hear whatever answer she gave him.

It took a while before Sango realized the reality of it all and close the door.

~~~
After watching the hideous dialogue, Inuyasha felt like he could not move. All his strings on Miroku Satoshi seemed to be cut by some invisible scissors somewhere. How could this happen?
His plans about becoming a hanyou seemed to fade away with the wind. So much for his dreams of lust and pleasure. As much as he wanted to punish Miroku for resisting him, he planned something else. He had a bigger fish to fry.
~~~

Sesshoumaru, the Head Demon of the district looked at him with a blank expression on his face. His most trusted servant Jakken was on his side.

Inuyasha wanted to snarl at him and leave but he was at the higher demon's mercy. Damn it? He bowed his prideful head lower, hoping to express awe, leniency and of course, a little submissiveness. "Master Sesshoumaru? please grant my request."

"What is it, imbecile demon, that urges you to be half-human?"

"To offer a soul to you, Master."

Sesshoumaru was impressed. "You would do that, low-life?"

"Anything for you, your highness." Inuyasha wanted to pull his tongue out from his head and slit his throat afterwards for muttering senseless and untrue words but no. Patience was a virtue.

Inuyasha's mind roared with confident expectation. His selfish plans were working accordingly. He didn?t know why he was the only sane demon to think of the way out. Because that was simply the secret. A soul. It was a Head Demon's weakness to be offered a soul. If they ever got hold of a pure soul to offer hell, they would earn more years of reign over their region.

The flames around the Head Demon flared with wicked pleasure. "It has been awhile since a fool like yourself has thought of something very fulfilling."

Long white hair and golden eyes distracted his sight now and then. Inuyasha could not help but wonder how it felt to look like the Head Demon, Sesshoumaru. He, on the other hand, was ugly as any ordinary demon but their Master was breathtakingly elegant and noble. He could not wait to be granted of his wish.

"What if you fail to offer a soul to me?"

"Then take my existence in return."

"You are desperate?"
