Hana Yori Dango is high melodrama at its finest ^_^; I'm watching the anime for that, and if the manga is even a fraction as gut-wrenching as the anime, then it's definitely worth reading.

Alas, that lemon is my only foray into FMP thus far. I've got too many unresolved HNG things to delve too deeply into the fandom just yet. Eventually . . . maybe.

Dub Relena had her annoying tendencies, but she outgrew them, so I forgave her. (You want annoying? Try Noelle from a series called, "I'm going to be an angel!" -- never before has the main character almost but not quite ruined a show for me this closely. Die, Noelle, die . . .)

My "muse music" is the Final Fantasy Tactics OST. It's soooo prettty o_o

Sometimes I need silence to write, although I always need music to draw. Usually then I'll just turn on Japan-a-radio or load everything I have into winamp and set it to shuffle ^_^

I write one paragraph for each chapter, and when I write the chapter I make sure to cover everything I want to happen in that chapter.

For example, this is the planning for War Games chapter 1:

1. 9 years after Ranma series. Ranma and Akane have gotten married, with much grumbling from all sides ...

The beautiful thing about fanfiction is that you can write whatever pairing you want.

I'm a fairly rabid Miro/San person myself, but it's the tertiary pairings that are beginning to interest me. Kohaku/Rin would be fun, and I even wrote a Shippou/Rin fic once.

Some of the better ones that are out in English:

Kodomo no Omocha (10 volumes, complete) ranks as one of my all-time favorites.

Marmalade Boy (8 volumes, complete) is one of the prototypical shoujo high school dramas that so abound nowadays.

Angelic Layer (5 volumes, complete) may be a fighting ...

I like it -- classic start with Kagome returning from the human world and Inuyasha waiting around by the tree. I like the description of how his emotions connect to it (I honestly think he'd cry if something happened to it!) and how Kagome knew just where he was.
