In the near future, the Britannian empire rules over a third of the countries on Earth, including Japan - which had its name and autonomy stripped away, to be renamed Area 11. Now in their teens, the two boys remain friends, but one fights to change the system from within using the prototype Lancelot (Knightmare Frame = mobile suit), the other gains an incredible and mysterious power called Geass.
