Hey, my name's 0mikr0n! I'm fifteen, male, living in California, USA, but I do reside deeply into the adult world. I enjoy reviewing politics and privately analyze what's going on, but I don't officially latch myself onto any particular "designation" or "bracket" (I.E. Repub / Demo). Although I watch from afar, I don't involve myself.

I've been a Gundam Wing fan since the day it started airing on TV; I loved the show, particularly because it gave a realistic look into today's idea of peace and what soldiers portray it of being. Gundam Wing was more or less a great showing of how far people are willing to go to get total peace, and how far others are willing to get total warfare... and maybe something in between.

I play lots of video games. I began on Half-Life in '98, and I immediately fell in love with storylined games, especially Metal Gear Solid 3 (which plays out more like a movie than a game), and among other ones. My favorite genre is that of military first-person shooters, meaning I'm technically a military weapons specialist nowadays. Seriously, if anyone asked me anything about any kind of pistol, submachine-gun, rifle, or any style of munitions, I'd probably be able to give them full specs.

I'm in high school Army JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps), which emphasizes on leadership and citizenship (no, it's not military recruiting), so I know most military customs, as well.

I enjoy reading books and poetry (who would have thought, from a gamer), and I live to write fiction. My English teacher tells me I have a knack for fiction, in fact, so that's pretty much affirmed by a Ph.D. holder.

Thus, I write my fics accordingly; I apply my military / weaponry knowledge into them, and spend my free time writing, gaming, or researching random things of my own free will. I enjoy assisting others when I can, so if anyone needs information, I won't hesitate to investigate.

I've already started writing a segmented story about GW, within my first week or two of associating myself with BI. I hope I can be warmly accepted here, and believe that we can all pretty much get along, more or less.

Oooh coolness! Welcome! I, too, am a gamer, though more of the RPG variety. I'm also very into English literature and poetry (I almost majored in it!) and plan on being an author. Fan fics are my practice. I look forward to reading your fics and seeing you use your military/weapon expertise. Awesome! Oh, and I'm so jealous that you're a Coordinator.

Well thanks! I'm actually as surprised as you are when it comes to the "Coordinator" thing... scared the crap out of me when I saw it, I thought some admin singled me out for something.

Anyway... yeah, I already have one full fic finished, it's sprawled in pieces all over the floor of the Alternative section, so... I don't even think it belongs there, it's sorta out of place in almost every forum. It's centered in the GW universe but focuses mostly on an original character. It's about a US-born Berlin police officer (who has US Special Forces experience) who gets offered a position in the Guardsman Protectorate, the secret service of Relena's Yuy Institute. It's not getting much attention, though, and I was hoping someone could tell me why.

I kinda feel like an intruder, though... it's like I'm the only guy here, lol. I'm an interloper, SHOOT ME!

I must say, you're quite articulate for a fifteen-year-old. That sure is refreshing... I'm tired of people who post in the online vernacular that's more appropriate for instant message conversations (no offense, if this pertains to anyone in particular!). Anyway, I'll be sure to read your story and give you some feedback, if you want... honest opinions and editing are my personal specialities.

Your plot summary sure is intriguing... I wonder why you haven't received much feedback? Perhaps you should find another forum? Hmm... I guess Alternatives makes the most sense, though. Well, I like the fact that you're writing about Relena Yuy's Institute. Wee!

Oh, and guys are definitely not interlopers on here. I think BI desperately needs some more testosterone... Heero would definitely approve of that. Right?

Gundam Wing stories are great from a male perspective. My brother and a bunch of my guy friends were all into GW before me, but then I got into it, went coo-coo for the 1xR pairing, and suddenly GW wasn't "cool" anymore. *sniff* But my boyfriend still says it's one of the best animes ever (bless his heart!), so I should try to convince him to join BI... Then you won't be as alone!

I'm afraid my Mission: Persuasion failed; my boyfriend told me he would much rather play World of Warcraft than hang out on BI. He doesn't write fanfics, but he sometimes reads them... Oh, well. Hopefully more boys will join soon!

You are a woman after my own heart! The Final Fantasy series is my all-time favourite (uhhh... see my username and avatar!). Even though I went nutty over FFVII and Aeris Gainsborough is my fave video game character in the universe, VIII is my all-time favourite game. ^_^ *singing* "I never sang my song on this stage, on my own..."

As for other video games (since we're on the topic), I'm a huge fan of fighting games. I was raised on the Streetfighter series and looove Soul Calibur II, the Tekken series, and Super Smash Bros. Melee (I own as Link!). Anyone wanna take me on? I'm a diehard pacifist, but I temporarily forsake my values when there's a controller in my hand...
