Well now that was a surprise. What will happen now I wonder. I think I got my question about the necklace answered thou. It has something to do with her brother/family, right?
Can't wait for the next chapter to make sure.

If you remember, the necklace was collateral in case she didn't come back when she was going to go disarm the missile systems. In the midst of combat, she forgot to retrieve it from him. He returned it as soon as he could remember that he had forgotten to do so. The necklace is a symbol, although right now it's not visible as one.

And Nadya's brother is a pivotal plot twist, and becomes very important later on. He wasn't discussed earlier because it would have dampered the shock effect given during the read.
