Baby names

I'm trying to write a story about Relena's baby girl... and I need some cute name ideas. If you were Relena, what would you name your daughter? (And, no, I can't tell you who the father is; it would spoil the fic!). Thanks!

Well, something ridiculously peace-involved would probably be appropriate.

Alanna means beatiful/peaceful, but it's rather old fashioned (then again, so is relena). You could go with Serenity, i suppose, but that's kind of corny. >.>

Is there anything in particular you're looking for? Any certain meaning that would have relevance to the story?

Name her Junior and be done with it!

Okay freals, if you are going to go with something peace oriented then Irene is a good one.

But if you're interested in something else, such as something that represents the love of mother & father then look for something that complements the parents personalities.

Or just go to a baby names website and browse around. But seriously, don't do a corny name. Be original without being stupidly so. You don't honestly expect Relena to name her kid LaFawnduh do you? *shudders*

Baby names... hmm...

Airenne maybe is a nice name for a girl.

Seth for a boy... I don't know, I've always liked those names.

But don't go for something complicated like "Luzviminda" (a combination of all three major islands of the Philippines - Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)

It's what I do. I tell people to sell babies on the black market and not to name fictional babies WeTodDid names.

I would ask for forgiveness but well, when your mom names you Wicked and you swear fealty to a Warlord who then says your her favorite, seeking forgiveness doesn't seem that important.

Pity really.

I suggest a normal name for this child. Something with a European background as that is Relena's background.

Or you could go with Rashandawandanana.

Well, it's royalty, so you can always go with "Elizabeth" or "Victoria." That seems to be the done thing. O_o

But yes, stick to European. Giving it some random oriental name just doesn't make sense. Also: Does the father (whoever he may be) have a say in this, or is Relena on her own?

Ooooh, sorry... I've been lax on responding to this topic. I didn't realize there were so many replies. At one point I moved it to another forum and got some great suggestions. I ended up going with Aurora, since it sounds pretty regal, and the nick name is "Rory." ^_^ Cute, no? And no, the father didn't have a say, because that's part of the confusion in the story... Relena's basically on her own.

But... I may decide to have a baby boy appear later on... What do y'all think of Shinsetsu? It's Japanese for "Kind-hearted." Not that her baby would be part Japanese or anything...

I agree! Seth is the name of a character in an original story I'm working on, though I keep switching back and forth between that and "Saige."

Yeah... I tried that and couldn't find anything I liked. LaFawnduh? I think it's a classic choice. Shaniqua, too. I'm also partial to "Erniqua," which is my personal ghetto name. I think it's pretty sweet.

On that happy note, thanks for all the suggestions! If you want, I can let you know when I'll be posting this story. I'm currently laboring on it but hope to publish it on here soon!

LMAO. What if you tried Engscowani? (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland). I think composite names are kind of funny... Jejomar is another one (Jesus, Joseph, Mary). This is the phenomenon of naming in the Philippines. Parents can't help but come up with weird names...
