The Inuyasha/Kagome Sappy Romance 2/25

Chapter: How?s life on your end? Or, chapter two.
Kagome was covering her eyes, Inuyasha was literally howling in laughter, Sango was blushing blood red and covering her face and Miroku was just as cocky as always. Sango and Miroku had been in the middle of making out when Inuyasha and Kagome had come back through the well.
Kagome had slightly overreacted, but then knowing Miroku, she
had every reason to. Inuyasha was choking, that?s how hard he was laughing. Kagome slapped him on the back a few times and he started to settle down.
?Looks like the two of you have worked out your differences. How long have you been there??
Sango whispered something unintelligible and Miroku proudly declared that they had been at it for over an hour.
Inuyasha started laughing uncontrollably again. Kagome rolled her eyes and walked away.
?Give it a rest Inuyasha before I make you. Don?t make me use the S word.?
Inuyasha tried to strangle his laughter and nearly choked again. Kagome ran past Miroku, calling him an unsavory name on the way. She grabbed Sango?s arm and pulled her toward the village.
They were safely out of the woods and the hearing of the boys when
Kagome finally stopped running.
?What is your deal? I thought you weren?t gonna try to be with Miroku until everything was settled? What happened to that??
Sango blushed deeply and looked at the ground. ?It just sort of happened. I can?t help that I like Miroku a great deal, I just didn?t want him to stop. I noticed you and Inuyasha are an item now.
Why aren?t you more understanding??
Sango looked extremely hurt and Kagome softened. ?I?m sorry Sango, I just got sort of carried away. I?m happy for you and Miroku,
but I haven?t reached that point in my relationship with Inuyasha yet. He hasn?t even told me he loves me.?
Sango laughed gently. ?That?s the fun of these things, Kagome, we
don?t need to say we love one another, it?s just understood.?
Kagome looked quizzically at Sango. ?Have you been reading my teen magazines??
Sango laughed again and answered in the affirmative.
Inuyasha and Miroku were having a similar conversation. ?Finally broke her, huh Miroku? I never thought she would crack, but I guess everyone does eventually.?
Miroku smiled his famous smile. ?Even Kagome has cracked as I understand it. Is this true??
Inuyasha looked at the ground again. ?Yeah.?
?So, how is she? Is she as feisty in bed as she is in person??
Inuyasha fumed and bonked Miroku on the head. ?It?s not like that you
dirty lecherous bastard! I just kissed her on the lips, no tongue or anything. Get your mind out of the gutter for once.?
Miroku got a big knot on the top of his head and laughed gently. ?I thought so, I just wanted to get your reaction. This isn?t what I expected but then I forgot how protective you are of Kagome.? He rubbed his head ruefully.
Inuyasha snorted at him. ?Feh, whatever. Where?s Shippo, that?s who Kagome?s really here to see. Is he in the village??
Miroku sighed again. ?Yes, he?s with Kaede and the villagers. They
have taken quite a shine to little Shippo.?
Inuyasha smiled to himself, that sounded like the little weasel. Inuyasha felt nothing but affection for the fox cub and couldn?t help but be a father figure to him, whenever Shippo cried, Inuyasha went off the deep end. He?d rage at everyone in the immediate vicinity and couldn?t be satiated by anything less than Shippo?s complete happiness. Kagome was aware of his adoration of the little six- year
old but noone else was.
Inuyasha and Miroku made their way into the village and picked
up the girls on the way. Sango walked next to Miroku and did not object when he put his arm around her shoulder. Kagome giggled but quickly quieted when Inuyasha slipped his arm around her waist, growling slightly. She leaned up against him and they walked into
the village in that manner.
Kagome was soon assaulted by the little cub.
?Kagome! Inuyasha said he?d bring you back, but I wasn?t sure.? Shippo blurted out while hugging the stuffing out of Kagome.
Inuyasha pretended anger. ?Whaddaya mean you weren?t sure? Don?t you trust me Shippo?? he winked at Shippo and smiled slightly.
Shippo jumped from Kagome and into Inuyasha?s arms. ?Thank you Inuyasha. This was very nice of you.?
Inuyasha was sort of caught off guard at the sudden display of affection from the cub. He was stiff for a little while then brought up his arms and held the child gently.
Kagome smiled from the bottom of her heart at the touching display. Inuyasha handed Shippo back to Kagome and they walked on to Kaede?s hut.
Kaede expressed her delight at having Kagome back, if only for a visit.
?Inuyasha has been insufferable. We were getting tired of his moping,
even his ears were droopy while you were gone.?
Inuyasha glared and growled at Kaede but she was unfazed. Inuyasha hated having his moods so openly discussed.
Kagome came to his rescue. ?I bet Shippo was more of a handful than Inuyasha could ever be. Shippo has so much energy that you?d never get him quiet.?
Kaede respected Kagome?s plea for mercy on Inuyasha?s behalf and silenced herself.
They ate in relative silence. When they finished, Inuyasha asked Kagome to walk with him. When Shippo begged to come along, he didn?t protest. They went into the woods and passed the god tree.
Kagome looked down at the semiconscious Shippo in her arms and sighed.
Inuyasha picked up on her mood and put his arm around her waist again. She was surprised when he kissed the top of her head and petted Shippo gently.
?What?s gotten into you Inuyasha? You?re not usually this tender, with anyone.? Kagome whispered as they sat in the clearing and
watched the rapidly setting sun in the west.
Inuyasha sighed, leaning back on his elbows. He knew she would inevitably ask the question, he just didn?t think it would be so soon.
?Kagome, I?m thinking of settling down. I want a family and a life that?s apart from all the battles and the conflict. I want to be accepted for who and what I am. I really feel like I need to get my life on some stable track.?
Kagome looked at him curiously. ?What are you saying? That you want to get married and raise a family? What?s wrong with the family you have now? Me and Shippo and Miroku and Sango? Aren?t we family to you??
Inuyasha fairly leaped at the opening she put out there. ?Of course you are my family! You?ll never understand how much I...well...I think that we ought to raise Shippo.?
Kagome smiled and reached for Inuyasha?s hand while still holding the sleeping Shippo.
?We are, Inuyasha. What do you think we?ve been doing since he came into our lives??
Inuyasha scooted closer to her and took her hand in both of his. She was slightly unsettled by the way he was looking at her. It was making her heart flutter and her hormones rage.
?I meant that we should raise him as our son. You and I as husband and wife.?
Kagome turned blood red. She had no idea that Inuyasha felt THAT way! ?Are you serious Inuyasha? I?ve never even considered this possibility. I mean, I thought you still weren?t
over Kikyo. What brought this on??
?I told you, I just think it?s time for me to settle
down. I want to be with you Kagome, for the rest of my life. You don?t have to decide now, I just wanted to get it out in the open.?
?You really want Shippo to be your son??
Inuyasha smiled at the sleeping cub. ?Sure, I have kinda grown attatched to the little runt.? He ruffled Shippo?s fur playfully.
Shippo yawned in response and held tighter to Kagome?s chest. ?Lucky little devil, I?d kill to snuggle with Kagome like that.?
?I?d like to try it.? Kagome said out of nowhere.
?Huh? I thought you weren?t sure??
Kagome looked down at Shippo and then up at Inuyasha.
?I?d love to be Shippo?s mother. And I think I?d like to be your wife. Just not yet, I want to finish school first and get a decent education. I think we can do this.? Kagome looked up at Inuyasha and smiled brightly.
He looked down at her and captured her lips in a searing kiss. Kagome tested his lips with her tongue and he opened up obligingly. They kissed that way for some time.
Kagome lay back on the ground and Inuyasha lay up next to her, she being careful not to wake Shippo.
Inuyasha took the initiative to run his hands down the length of her body slowly, trying not to push her into anything she didn?t want to do. Shippo yawned and they broke apart quickly. He turned into Kagome?s cleavage again and whispered, ?Mommy.?
Kagome beamed and tears welled up in her eyes. She looked up and saw the stars. ?Oh, Inuyasha, I have to go home. We need to drop Shippo off at Kaede?s and I need to get home.?
Inuyasha stood and took Kagome?s free hand and they left the woods headed for Kaede?s hut.
Kagome put Shippo down on the mat he slept in. She kissed the top of his head and held him close. Kagome said her goodbyes to the rest of the gang and headed out with Inuyasha for the well. Inuyasha hopped up to Kagome?s window and let her down. She stuck her head out the door and announced to her mother that she was home. Her mother told her not to stay up too late and she replied that she wouldn?t. Inuyasha sat on her bed and relaxed. When she stuck her head back in, he was lain back on her bed, lounging comfortably. She smiled and lay down next to him. Inuyasha kissed the top of her head and held her close.
?Do you really think we can pull this off? I mean, can we raise Shippo
properly? We know next to nothing about raising children.? Kagome mused aloud.
?Well, we?ll give it a shot what can it hurt?? Kagome thought over what he said and decided that it was best not to focus so much on the details and to be so analytical.
Inuyasha had begun stroking her again as he was in the clearing, she looked up at him and he kissed her deeply. He tried to fight her tongue for dominance but lost to her very easily, she was making his blood boil. She rolled over on top of him, feeling the tightness of his muscular
body beneath the soft flesh of her curves. He hugged her close to him, smashing her against his chest and pulling one of her legs between his. Kagome was surprised but he made no moves to undress her so she did not protest. They lay there kissing the hell out of one another and exploring the other?s body. Kagome went to grab Inuyasha and pull him
over onto her but he resisted. She tried once again but again he refused to allow it.Kagome gave up and stayed on top. When they came up for air, Inuyasha picked Kagome up and lay her next to him.
They stared at one another then Inuyasha said abruptly, ?You have school tomorrow, you need to get some sleep. I?ll be here when you get home and I?ll have Shippo. See you then Kagome.? He stood and walked to the window.
?What are you not gonna kiss me goodbye??
Inuyasha laughed and said, ?I thought you?d never ask.?
He tried to keep it a chaste peck, but now that Kagome had had more, she wasn?t gonna settle for anything less. She ravaged his mouth with her tongue and left him painfully aroused and not knowing what to do with himself.
