A Day in the Life

the poem in this story is by Elaine Isaacson, I found it somewhere and loved it! And please comment on this so I know if I should write more of it or not. I know its not exciting now... but it may be!!!!

The Battlefield ground was covered in blood, and the Gundams stand in the ashes of what once was a city. The grim reality of war hit our heroes hard. There is the perfect solider, the no-name, the god of death, the justice seeking dragon, and the melancholy Arabian. All murderers, and bringers of death. Hated by many, yet still fight for what they think is right. Protecting those who are weaker. Pacifism has no meaning to them. War, hatred, and violence is what the were bred for. And yet they are here today still living and going on. Peace abides and they live, waiting till they have a use again. I hope they will never have to be weapons again. Their lives are legacies of the cycles of peace and war. But I am proud of them. They are why I strive for peace, I want to give hope to the soldiers and closure to that chapter in life.

And the world keeps moving on
and us along with it
And sometimes we hurt along the way
and sometimes we give back what we've been given
but we move on
The world keeps moving on and we move on along with it
the lessons and the hurts overwhelm the masses
And we spend time drinking, crying, and holding onto
the very things that threaten to destroy us
and then one day we realize we've emerged beyond
the hurt, the pain, even the smiles we've given to each other
and today is brighter than the yesterdays
we thought we couldn't live without
so we live on, we move on
we pack a few things we feel we cannot live without
say good-bye to those things we needed for a time
we smile at the memory we had with one another
and if we're fortunate we hold onto those we love
and we move on together and the world's a little brighter
and the load a little lighter for a time . . . yes, for a time


The page filled up Relena closed her journal and stretched, lifting her arms over her head and letting out a sigh. ?That?s, that for now, I guess.? she said to herself lying on her bed in her empty room, and looked around flipping onto her back and staring at the ceiling, with nothing to do. She finally got her day off of work and she was bored to death. ?My time at work most have addled my brain, I feel completely useless.? She flipped over on her stomach and was kicking at the air and staring at nothing.
Bored, boredom, boorish, brooding, oh that was an acronym, 99 bottles of beer on the wall?. Oh lordy what is there to do. Just then Duo stuck his braided head in the room. Smiling a bit to brightly for Relena?s taste she knew something had to be up. Sneaky, sneaky people. She rolled onto her side and glanced at Duo. He just grinned the brighter and bounded on her bed.
The bed bending under the weight, it didn?t help much that Duo was hopping on the bed like a 3 yr. old. Relena patiently waited for his spasm to stop before she asked him a what he was doing here. ?Hilde is having a party at the house and she wants you to be there, she says she has someone you would want to meet.? Since Relena didn?t have a boyfriend, Hilde whom she meet through Duo and became best friends with, insists on setting her up on blind dates. ?Tell her I said I?ll be their around 3 o?clock to help her set up, knowing her she?ll have the party at 7, Am I right??. Duo shook his head yes, and grinned because he knew how predictable his wife was.

ok..I'm a bit confused with the pairing..It's either that or my head's starting to get dysfunctional from my early morning sleeps....yes, I tend to sleep in the morning even on school days...It's 4:30 am right now....

Anyways, Is it Duo and Relena or is it Relena with someone else not mentioned yet.....From what I understood, Duo's married to Hilde but what the heck is he doing in the same bed as Relena's? just jumping, right? ..oh, yea..I think I get it..

Yes, Duo and Relena are just friends, and I'm not sure what couple I'm going to do.... I was thinking maybe trowa and Relana or Wufei and Relena....hmmmm but I do know there will be conflict with Heero! (hehehe) And I usally don't see the light of day till 12a.m. (4:30.... I have never seen that time of day)...
