a/n quasi sequel to Three Dreaded Words. Merry Christmas everyone.

It was early in the day, one offending light of sun was interrupting her peaceful sleep. So she did the only natural thing, and tried to pull the blankets over her head. It wouldn't budge.

She tried harder. Still the now offensive blanket wouldn't move. She groaned.

"Merry Christmas to you to." A voice? Why is there a voice making noise when there is perfectly good sleep to be had. She tugged at the blanket again, upset that she was fighting a loosing battle trying to return to sleep.

"I really wish you would stop doing that."

"Give me one good reason."

"There is a 6 year old who is passed out on the bed in between us and your attempts are only going to wake her up."

Well that did it, she was now doomed to be awake, so she opened her eyes and looked over to see indeed that the weight she felt down by her feet was her own 6 year old daughter. She looked over at the clock 7:00am. She blinked, and looked again.

"Christmas morning and she's letting us sleep until sunrise?" continuing their conversation in a whisper."

"Well she sneaked out at about 5:24 to scout everything out."

"But-"

"Don't worry, I only had the cloths boxes put out anticipating this, 'the good stuff.' is still safely tucked away."

She smiled, and stifled a stupid yawn reminding her the stupid sun ray wasn't letting her sleep.

"If you've given up on trying to sleep now, there is hot coco mix sitting in a mug with your name on it."

She was out the bedroom door sometime around the word "mix".

Heero followed soon after carrying a bag containing the remaining presents and put them out.

She tilted her head to the side. Given the amount of time that had lapsed, those had to have been stored... "How did you manage to hide those in our room?"

He smirked. Yes, smirked. "Trade secret."

She reached for the nearest thing to throw at him. Heero was now covered in the pancake batter he had planned to make breakfast with. Relena was slightly horrified (over not getting pancakes) Heero took in in stride and replied "If you wanted waffles instead, all you had to do was ask."

He ran out of the kitchen as silverware started to fly.

--

Hours later, the presents were opened. Mother and daughter had fallen asleep next to each other on the couch, leaving him to figure out how to get them moved in to bed without waking them (else he face a night on the couch himself for somehow failing to warn them they would wake up with sore necks, even though he said it twice).

Taking a sip of his hot coco again, he smiled at how cute the both of them looked asleep. Maybe they could stay there just a little bit longer...

He got to work picking up wrapping paper and discarded boxes. They (meaning Relena), for reasons unknown to him, had invited all their friends over for dinner that night. He still had a few hours before he had to start getting things ready, but he decided to take advantage of a few quiet moments.

Pretty soon, Relena would be obsessing over every detail to make sure the house was "perfect" before anyone got there. Their daughter would alternate between following her around and playing with her new toys. And that would leave Heero to cook the dinner, and reassure Relena every ten minutes that everything was fine and dinner would be ready on time.

Not that he was complaining about anything. At least this year they managed to get by without any assembly. And it only took me 5 years to convince Relena to avoid those three words.

Well since she was up earlier, it through her sleeping pattern off, thus her "sleeping in."

Glad you liked it.

WZ recommended this read, and I must say it was quite good. They have such a nice family life and seem quite comfortable in it. What a nice feeling.

Very nice work Adaon.
