Whaddya say we go along with that 'parallel universe' theory that says there's, uh, billions of parallel universes? That way, there are BILLIONS of Sesshoumarus mucking around looking hot and yelling 'Die, Inuyasha' every five seconds, leaving more than a few for prunk253, myself, and every other living, breathing Sesshy fan in existence! And hell, there's probably some left for the inanimate fans, too!

Sesshomaru x Kagome are an amazing ship. Despite the fact that you need to have good enough reasons and make the relationship seem believeable when writing it, they're still good. ♥ to them, oh my.

But I don't think anything can beat Inuyasha x Kagome. Mind you, I'm edging along the love for a relationship with Miroku x Kagome. xD Sango and Inuyasha would SO not work... bleh. I don't see how anyone can like that pairing. HOW does it work out?! :evil:

Yeah, I tried a few Sango x Inuyasha fics, just because I'm a sucker for alt. pairings (Trowa x Relena was my first induction into the genre, and from then on out my scary 3xR and later 2xR obsession waltzed right over into IY fandom) but yeah, it just ain't right, yaknowhaddI'msayin'? Now Miroku x Kagome is a different story...for some odd reason those two crazy kids work well together if the fic is written with a modicrum of thought. Have you all stumbled across a fic called "Chasing Methuselah"? I can't for the life of me remember who wrote it but I found it on AdultFanFiction.net (not that you can go there, prunk. Gotta be 18, well, at least in theory. But hey, not like I can stop you! *wink, wink* Ah, I'm a bad influence to the young and impressionable...) and it was beyond interesting. A few plot holes, but generally a good introduction to the pairing. I haven't found any other good ones so if y'all know of any, drop me a line.

As for Sesshoumaru x Kagome, I recommend anything by Resmiranda (so amazing you'll crap yourself...figuratively, of course), Noacat, Youkai Yume and Cappie. Particularly "Fugue" and "Tales from the House of the Moon" by Resmiranda, "La Vie en Rose" by Noacat, uh, anything by Youkai Yume (she's got quite a few fics and her fan art is worth losing a limb over...uh, no offense Sesshoumaru...) and "Shadows Against a Shoji Screen" by Cappie. Oh yeah, my first introduction to this pairing was "Means to an End" by Aiwendil and I remember it being good enough for me to investigate the pairing further. These fics are scattered all over the place but most are on Single Spark (kagsess.eternal-adoration.net/main.php).

So, I guess my mission tonight was to 'rant' you all to death about alternate IY pairings and give these unappreciated authors some free advertising. Check 'em out if you've got the time and desire to read SxK fanfic. I will always love InuxKag, as I'll always love HeeroxRelena (though I rarely read fics with them anymore...sigh), but there's just something about well written alt. pairing fanfic that really strikes my fancy. Ah well. As long as Sesshoumaru isn't obsessed with mating a prepubescent Rin, then I'm okay. *shudder* That's just skippin' a little too close to pedophilia IMHO - not that made-up, two-dimensional cartoon youkai can be tried for such. Right.
