I used to pursue Heaven
You know, that hidden pathway
Trying to find that gate
That would lead me to happiness

I cruised down endless roads
Reading and following the signs
From dawn ?til the shield of night
Not knowing I was being denied

Why are all songs about love?
They don?t understand its high
They?re all about nonsense fervor
About random lovers meeting at night

Then I learned I was being deceived
I had traveled every single path
Down every available, endless road
And I was still stuck on this shore

Heaven always eluded me
I had walked the world over
Always ending empty-handed
Always ending heavy-hearted

So one day I finally got bored
Tired of wandering around aimlessly
So I took a breath and sprouted wings
Crashing and burning, I learned to soar

I floated over the Delphian brine
Climbed high into the night sky
On nimble wings, I reached the stars
Witnessed their beauty so bright

I found passion and became stardust
Created meaning, an identity
Waiting restlessly for every day?s dusk
To bask in the beauty of eternity

I travel on shooting stars
From now ?til the end of time
Ever-observant, ever-waiting
For the truth of Heaven?s Gateway

And so this way, I bid farewell
To my past, to the sand and the brine
To daylight and to oblivious love songs
On stardust clouds as I follow Heaven?s signs</center>
