omg! i have new characters to add to the story! yay! things are really starting to get interesting for the crew in this chapter. hope ya'll enjoy it.
New Characters:
Alexander Azzarious - Leader of New Oz.
Jasin Natael - Former Member of Oz and The Treize Faction. Once one of Treize?s personal assistants.
Rand Cauthon - Friend of Jasin?s and a member of the Preventers.
Elayne Trankard - Jasin?s fianc? and assistant.

Chapter Seventeen
Waking slowly, Relena gazed into the darkness of her new surroundings.
?Where am I?? she thought in horror.
Putting her hands out in front of her she crawled till she found a wall and slowly pushed herself up to a standing position. Still leaning on the wall Relena began to move around the edge of the room tying to find a light switch or a door, though she was sure it would be locked if there was one. About halfway around the room she banged her knee on something sticking out of the wall and fell head first onto the object.
?Ow!?
?What the hell,? came a man?s voice from what seemed like underneath her.
?W-Who?s there?? she asked cautiously.
?Who the hell are you and why are you in my cell?? came the reply from the voice.
?My name is Relena and I didn?t know I was in your cell,? she said rather defiantly cautiously rolling off the man. ?I was kidnaped and when I woke up I was in here.?
?Did you say your name was Relena??
?Yes I did.?
?Oh great. First I get caught now they kidnap you. This is not a very good week for the Preventers. I bet Zechs is furious right now.?
?You work for the Preventers?? Relena asked sounding hopeful. ?Yeah and a lot of good it did me. I still got trapped by these assholes.? He paused for a moment before speaking again. ?Speaking of assholes I never introduced myself. I?m Rand Cauthon.?
?Pleased to meet you Rand.?
?Likewise.?
?So how long have you been in here??
?I?d say about five days. I really haven?t tried to keep track.?
Before the two could talk anymore the lights came on, followed by a door opening and a woman being shoved into the room, followed by the door slamming shut. The woman began falling as soon as she was shoved into the room. Leaping from the rack built into the wall, Rand dove to catch her just before she hit the concrete floor. She was about Relena?s age and height, with fiery red hair and bright green eyes. Her breath seemed shallow and rapid.
?Oh my God!? Relena gasped. ?Is she alive?!?
?She?s breathing but barely. Her pulse is slow and weak.?
?Quick. Get her up on the rack,? Relena stated.
Carefully Rand picked the woman up and laid her gently onto the rack. Relena knew very little about medicine or checking a person for injuries but she tried the best she could to examine the unconscious woman who?s life surely laid in her and Rand?s hands. Feeling her forehead Relena noticed that it was extremely warm and at a second glace the woman?s face looked flushed with color.
?Is there any water in here?? she asked Rand quickly.
Without answering Rand went to the other side of the room and grabbed the pitcher of water and brought it back to Relena. Tearing off part of her skirt, Relena dipped the cloth in the water and began sponging off the woman?s face and forehead.
?What now?? asked Rand with a hint of concern in his voice.
?Just watch and wait.?
And wait they did for it was all they could do.
As Relena continued to monitor the woman?s condition Rand slept propped up against the wall close by. After a few hours Relena began to dose off as well.
?I?ve got to stay awake. This woman?s life is more important than my sleep.?
But eventually sleep overtook her. She began to dream of Heero but was shaken awake to find Rand standing over her.
?This guy Heero must be quite the guy for you to cry out his name in your sleep.?
Blushing furiously Relena turned away from Rand.
?I would have let you sleep longer but our friend is up and she refuses to talk unless it?s to you."
Spinning back around Relena saw that indeed the woman was awake and very weakly sitting up on the rack. Nodding to Rand, Relena moved closer to the newcomer as Rand went and sat on the other side of the room.
?My name is Relena. The man over there is Rand. We?re prisoners here as well. Please, tell me who you are and why did those men bring you here??
?I am Elayne. Elayne Trankard.? Despite how she looked her speech was strong. ?Those men brought me here in the hopes of getting to my fianc?.?
?They?re after your fianc?? Why are they after him?? Relena asked trying not to sound to pushy.
?My fianc? is Jasin Natael. He once worked for Oz as a mobile suit engineer and test pilot and was a close personal friend of Treize Kushrinada. New Oz wants him to help them build the ultimate mobile suit that not even a gundam could stop.? Elayne broke off and looked on the verge of tears.
?How horrible. I can?t believe these people are doing all of this.?
?And why not?? came a icy voice from behind them.
Spinning around, Relena saw in the doorway a man as evil looking as any she had ever seen. He was tall, about six foot four, thin but not for lack of muscle. His blond hair was cut close in a military style and his bright blue eyes shone with hate.
?Who are you?? Relena demanded.
?I am the one who will be asking the questions here Miss Peacecraft. But I will entertain you with my name. I am Alexander Azzarious, leader of New Oz and soon to be the leader of the entire Earth Sphere once I cleanse it of all those who are unworthy of such peace and freedom.?
?You can?t,? screamed Relena appalled by the realization of what Azzarious was suggesting.
?Oh I can?t can I? And who is going to stop me? The Gundams? They no longer exist and even if they did they would be no match for the force I have created.?
Azzarious walked forward, eyes intently staring at Relena.
?My mobile suits are made from the same gundanium alloy and my pilots have been trained on the Zero System. Plus your brother and his bunch of pathetic ?Preventers? haven?t a clue where to start looking for us.? He stopped with his face just inches from Relena?s. ?So once again I ask you who is going to stop me??
Backing away from him, Relena could only gape in horror.
?You bastard,? Rand cursed from his seat against the wall.
?I?m greatful to see that you?re still in such high spirits Mr. Cauthon. Be patient,? Azzarious walked towards the door as he spoke.
?The three of you will witness my victory first hand.?
As he left the room his mirthless laughter filled the air and sent chills down Relena?s spine.
?I hope Zechs and Heero figure something out before it?s too late.?

Back at the Peacecraft Mansion, Zechs, Heero, and Noin were finishing with assisting the paramedics in evacuating all of the casualties.
?What a horrible nigh,? Noin commented. ?I never dreamed that something like this could happen again.?
?None of us thought that this was possible. With all the steps we?ve taken and all the monitors put in place to try and prevent something like this it?s hard to imagine something of this nature could have slipped past us.?
Zechs sounded as though he didn?t entirely believe himself, and partly angry as though at himself for not stopping it. Picking up on this Heero spoke up.
?It?s not your fault Zechs. This was totally unexpected. Nothing was done that would have tipped us off that New Oz was planning something like this.?
?I know. How?s Duo? You went with him in the car before coming back to help.?
?He?ll make it. His injuries aren?t that serious. He was shot in the arm, has a couple of broken ribs, and got hit on the head pretty hard.? ?I?m glad to hear that.?
With out warning Heero suddenly spun around, pulling his gun from where he had it tucked in the back of his pants, and pointed it at the door just as a man came staggering into view.
?Don?t shoot!? he shouted stopping in his tracks.
?Who are you and what do you want?? Heero demanded, not taking his gun off the man.
?My name is Jasin Natael. I?m looking for Zechs Marquise. I need his help.?
?Jasin?? Zechs looked stunned. ?I thought you died in the Luxembourg takeover??
?No. I managed to escape but just barely. I?ve been looking for you for weeks now. You?re a hard man to track down.?
?What is it that you need my help with??
?New Oz has kidnaped my fianc? and I need your help to get her back,? responded Jasin.
Zechs laughed coldly. ?If only it were that easy. We don?t even know where to look for them and even if we did we don?t have the means to oppose them yet.?
?What if I told you I know the location of one of their bases and have just the force you?re looking for??
By the look and smiles on the faces of the other three Jasin knew the answer without them saying a word.
