Paintball - rated PG (silly story, no pairings)

Hi everyone! This is my second FB story, but my first posting to the site. ::waves:: The first one I?m writing is a chapter one called ?Wait for Me,? however, it?s not on this site. If you want to read it, head on over to FF.net, and look for it there!
All right. The basic premise of this story is?.they?re playing paintball. If you've read the book "Battle Royale" or seen the movie, you would get some of the stuff in this, such as the "body count." It?s just a silly story that I happened to think of one day. There?s no pairing, no smut, nothing of that sort. ::dodges pointy objects:: But there is a little bit of swearing, nothing too bad. I hope you like it! Oh, and please forgive any spelling, grammar, or any other mistakes. And sorry for any OOC-ness. Enjoy!

Paintball ? FB Style
?Tell me again why we?re doing this?? asks Kyo.
?Because it?s Shigure?s birthday, and it?s what he wanted to do,? replies Yuki.
?We?re here,? says Hatori, parking the car and getting out.
Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki get out of the car, and stare at the sign looming above them.
?Paintball. Fun for the entire family,? reads Tohru. ?Ano, what is this game again??
Shigure gets out of the car and gasps at Tohru?s comment. ?What? You mean you?ve never heard of this game??
Tohru shakes her head, and gives him a questioning look.
Shigure runs over to Ayame, who had just gotten out of his car, along with Haru, Momiji, and Kagura. ?Aya! Did you just hear? Our little Tohru-kun has never heard of this game!?
?WHAT?! This is an outrage!? cries Aya. ?Why, we must tell her, and teach her this marvelous game!?
Yuki walks over to Tohru, who still has a confused look on her face. ?To put it simply, it?s kind of like war. We get these guns loaded with, well, paintballs, and we shoot each other. That?s pretty much all there is to it.?
?Awww,? Aya pouts, ?I wanted to tell her how the game works.?
?You?re no fun Yuki-kun,? adds Shigure.
?Yes, and like war, only the strong survive,? says Kyo, joining the pair. ?Unlike some weak rats that I know. Watch out, or you might get crushed.?
Yuki rolls his eyes. ?You?re so sure you?re going to beat me.?
?Damn right! Let?s see who comes out the victor in this match!?
?KYO-KUN!?
Kyo?s eyes grow wide. ?Oh crap.? Frantically, he looks around for a place to hide.
?Kyo-kun! Isn?t this great? We get to spend the entire day together!? says Kagura, skipping up to Kyo.
?Yeah, sure,? Kyo responds, a depressed expression on his face.
Noticing the expression on his face, Kagura promptly begins to shake him. ?I said, isn?t this great?! Isn?t it?!?
?Y-Yes! It?is! Just?.stop?.shaking me!!?
Hatori sighs, and starts to walk inside the building. ?Come on everyone. We need to pay, and get our equipment.?
?Hey, Hatori. Why did you come along with us anyway?? asks Kyo, who had finally managed to escape Kagura?s death grip.
?Because if I didn?t, they,? he says, pointing at Aya and Shigure, ?wouldn?t leave me alone about it.?
?That?s right, Tori-san! It would do you some good to get out once in a while!? says Aya.
?It?s not right for someone to be cooped up in an office all day. And besides,? Shigure puts on his best sad face, ?it?s my birthday, and I wanted you here with me.?
Hatori ignores him, and walks up to the counter. After a couple minutes, everyone is suited up, armed, and ready to go.
?All right!? calls out the instructor, walking up to them. He was a large man, once in the military. ?Welcome to paintball!? he calls out in a loud voice. ?Does everyone understand the safety procedures?!?
?Yes,? comes the unanimous reply.
?Good! Now, this game will be played battle royale style! Meaning, everyone shoot at each other until there is one person left! There are no friends here, only enemies! Do you understand?! If you get shot, report back to home base! Got it?!?
?Yes.?
?I like this guy,? says Kyo.
?Excellent! You all seem like a bright group!?
At that, Hatori rolls his eyes.
?Everyone, get in a hiding place! When you hear the signal, the game begins! GO!?
Everyone scrambles to find a hiding spot before the signal goes off.
?Ne, ne, Tohru. Can I hide with you?? asks Momiji, bouncing up and down around Tohru.
?I?m not sure, the guy said??
?You idiot,? Kyo smacks Momiji on the back of the head. ?you?re supposed to do this alone. Now, leave her alone, and go hide.?
?Waaaaah, Kyo hit me??
Kyo rolls his eyes. ?Just go hide.? He looks over at Tohru. ?You should go too.?
?Hai!? With that, Tohru runs off.
::BANG!::
-Game has begun, 9 people remaining-
?Pssst! Pssst! Gure-san!?
Shigure stops in his tracks and looks around. ?Aya? Is that you??
Aya comes out from behind a tree. ?Gure-san! I was so worried about you! I was afraid I would get to see you before the game ended!?
Shigure clamps his hand over Aya?s mouth, and pulls him back behind the tree. ?Shhhh. Someone could hear you.?
?Momen ee. I was ryig ro gef oour arrenshion.?
Shigure removes his hand. ?What??
?Gomen ne. I was just trying to get your attention.?
Shigure looks out from behind the tree, and notices the coast is clear. ?I think it?s safe. Come on.?
Aya walks out from behind the tree. A second later?
::POW!::
?Aya!? cries Shigure.
?Shigure!?
Shigure runs over to Aya, who is lying on the ground, barely moving. ?Are you all right??
?I-I?m not sure. This may be the end for me.?
Shigure grasps Aya?s hands and looks into his eyes. ?Don?t talk like that! You have a long life ahead of you. You mustn?t give up now!?
?I know. But?it?s going dark. I don?t think I have much longer.?
?Oi.?
?There?s always something I wanted to tell you, Aya.?
?What is it??
?Oi.?
?I love you.?
Aya smiles a bit. ?Thank you Gure-san. I love me too.?
?OI!?
The two men look up, and see Kyo standing in front of them. ?What?? asks Shigure.
Kyo sighs, and shakes his head. ?Aya will be fine.?
Shigure jumps up, and looks at Kyo. ?But, he got shot.?
?By paint. This is paintball.?
?Oh, yeah.?
Aya sits up, and pouts. ?But?the paint got in my hair. My beautiful hair is ruined!?
Kyo sighs again. He could tell Aya was going to go into whiny speech mode. ?The paint is water based. It will wash out.?
?Oh, okay then.? Shigure helps Aya up.
?Aya, I think you need to go back to base, since you got shot. Later!? Kyo says, running off.
?That?s right. I?m sorry, but I have to go now,? says Aya.
?That?s all right. At least we got to see each other one last time,? replies Shigure.
Aya prances away, while Shigure runs off to find a victim.

::Meanwhile?::
Hatori chuckles to himself as he sits behind a rock a couple yards away from Shigure and Aya. ?I?ve always wanted to do that.?
?KYO-KUN!?
Hatori peers around the rock to see Kagura wander into the clearing.
?I swear, I heard him a minute ago,? she says to herself. ?KYO-KUN!?
Hatori thinks to himself. He has two choices. He could either go over to her, tell her to shut up, and move. But that would put him in danger. Or, he could shoot her, and put himself out of his misery.
His decision was, fortunately, an easy one. Hatori picks up his gun and aims.
::POW!::
Hatori jumps at the sound, and looks over to his right. Crouching a couple feet from him was Haru. He looks around the rock, and sees Kagura still standing in the clearing, this time, a big spot of paint on the front of her outfit.
Hatori breathes a sigh of relief, and turns to Haru. ?Thanks.?
Haru gives him a confused look. ?What do you mean??
?Thanks for shooting her.?
Haru looks at Kagura, then back at Hatori. ?I didn?t shoot her.?
It was not Hatori?s turn to be confused. ?You didn?t? Then, who did??
Haru shrugs. ?I don?t know, but since I have you here?? an evil grin crosses his face as he aims his gun at Hatori.
?Dammit.?
::POW!::
-3 people down, 6 people to go-
?Ah, Tohru, I?m glad I found you.? Yuki runs up to Tohru, and stops to catch his breath. ?Are you doing all right??
?Hai, I?m doing all right. I haven?t seen anyone so far.?
?That?s good.? The sound of a shot causes the two of them to look over to a clearing that?s a short distance away from them. Tohru turns to Yuki, a scared expression on her face.
?It?s all right. Remember, if you see someone, don?t be afraid to shoot them. After all, that is the point of the game,? he says.
?H-Hai.?
?Yuki-kun.?
Yuki?s head snaps up, and he looks around the area. Did he hear something?
?Yuki-kun, over here.?
?Yuki-kun, I think someone is calling you,? whispers Tohru.
?I think so too,? Yuki whispers back. ?Who?s there?? he says in a louder voice.
?It?s me.? From behind a bush, bounces out Momiji. ?Thank goodness I found you two!?
?SHHHH!? Yuki and Tohru grab Momiji, and pull him back into the bush. ?What do you want?? hisses Yuki.
?I just wanted to make sure you two were safe,? Momiji responds in a quieter voice. ?I?ve been here the entire time, hiding.?
?Did you see anyone get shot??
?Yeah! I saw Kagura and Aya get shot, but I don?t know who the third person is.?
?Hmmm.? Yuki thinks for a moment. ?It might be a good idea to move somewhere else and split up. Whoever is going after everyone will probably be getting close.?
?Good idea,? says Tohru. ?There will be a better chance of us surviving if do that.?
Yuki looks out and notices the coast is clear. ?All right, Honda-san. You go first. I?ll cover you.?
?Got it.? Tohru crawls out and walks a couple feet away. Just as Yuki was crawling out, he hears Tohru scream.
?AAHHHH!?
::POW! POW POW POW!::
Yuki scrambles out, followed by Momiji, and runs over to Tohru. Standing in front of her is Kyo, covered in paint, a shocked expression on his face.
?What the- you shot me!? he cries.
?What happened?? asks Yuki, running up besides Tohru.
?He scared me!? she cries.
?But, you shot me! You didn?t have to do that!?
?But you scared me!?
Yuki rubs his forehead, and looks at Kyo. ?What do you want??
?I was just making sure she was all right!? Kyo turns to Tohru. ?You didn?t have to shoot me!?
?Gomen, but you scared me, and I panicked,? she says. ?Are you all right??
?Yeah. Dammit, now I can?t go after Yuki,? Kyo grumbles.
Yuki smirks. ?Serves you right for trying something like this.?
?I didn?t try anything! I was just concerned for Tohru?s safety, that?s all! Damn rat, why does this have to happen?? Kyo continues to grumble as he walks away.
Yuki sighs, and turns back to Tohru and Momiji. ?We should split up now.?
?All right.? Tohru and Yuki turn and walk away, in opposite directions.
?Oh, Yuki-kun?? calls out Tohru.
?Yeah??
?Be careful!?
Yuki smiles at her, and walks away.
-4 people down, 5 to go-
Haru looks down from his perch in the tree, and sees Momiji walking toward him. His black side now taking over, he grins. ?Baka. Little rabbits should hide, not be out in the open like that.? He shrugs. ?Oh well,? he aims he gun, and pulls the trigger.
::POW!::
::POW!::
?What the hell!? Haru looks down at his outfit and sees paint on himself. Looking down, he sees an empty spot where Momiji was, and a splatter of paint next to it.
?Damn, I missed.? Haru climbs down from the tree, and looks around, a pissed expression on his face. ?But who the hell shot me??
Behind a rock a ways away from him, Shigure sits, smoking a cigarette. ?First Kagura, now Haru. He should know better then to leave himself open like that.?
?You should really take your own advice,? says a voice.
Shigure looks over, and sees someone standing next to him. ?Wha-??
::POW!::
Yuki grins, and looks down at Shigure, who is now out. ?I?ve always wanted to do that.?
Shigure glares at him, and walks away.
-6 people down, 3 to go-
Momiji slowly walks around a tree, making sure no one was on the other side. He breathes a sigh of relief and sits down. In the past couple minutes, he?s heard three shots go off, and he had no idea who might have caused it.
Of course, one of the shots was for him. Luckily, he was able to get away unharmed.
A sound causes Momiji to look behind him. His eyes grow wide. ?Dang it.?
::POW!::
?Why did you do that?? he whines.
Yuki shrugs. ?I don?t know. You were here, I guess.?
?Waaaaaaa, Yuki shot me!? Momiji cries.
::POW!::
The force of the next shot causes Yuki to back up against the tree. ?Huh? Who the-??
Tohru walks up to the two of them.
?Honda-san?? Yuki looks at her, eyes wide. ?You shot me? But, why??
Tohru thinks for a moment, then shrugs. ?I don?t know.? She walks up to Yuki. ?Are you all right? I didn?t mean to shoot you.?
?Yeah,? he mumbles. ?I?m fine. Come on. I think the game is over. We should head back.?
?Okay.?
-GAME OVER, 1 person remaining. Winner, Honda Tohru-
The three walk up to ?home base,? which was actually a cabin somewhere on the field. Chaos faces them as soon as they enter.
?I can?t believe you would do something like that to me Tori-san! I mean, I?m you?re friend!? cries Aya.
Hatori ignores him, and continues to smoke.
?I just can?t believe Yuki-kun shot me! ME! After giving him room and board all these years!? Shigure retorts, smoking his own cigarette.
Yuki snorts. ?You deserved it.?
Haru looks at everyone. ?I just want to know who shot me.?
?And me!? calls out Kagura.
Shigure grins, a proud expression on his face. ?That would be me.?
?WHAT?!? the two reply at the same time.
?Hmmph, I never got the chance to go after the damn rat,? grumbles Kyo, from the corner.
Yuki smacks him on the head. ?Get over it.?
?So, who won anyway?? asks Haru.
Tohru smiles. ?It was me!? she says, bouncing up and down. ?I like this game!?
The door suddenly flies open. Standing there is the instructor. He marches up to Tohru and takes her hand. ?Congratulations young lady! Because you are the last one standing, you get this special prize!? He puts an envelope in Tohru?s hand, and turns to walk away.
?Thank you all for playing! By the way, please leave within twenty minutes, or you will be charged for another hour,? and slams the door behind him.
Everyone gathers around Tohru. ?So, what did you win?? Momiji excitedly asks.
Tohru opens the envelope, and squeals. ?I won a free game of paintball! We should go for my birthday!?
Everyone groans. ?Let?s go home,? says Shigure.
?Best idea you?ve had all day,? says Kyo.

?I didn?t try anything! I was just concerned for Tohru?s safety, that?s all! Damn rat, why does this have to happen?? Kyo continues to grumble as he walks away.
Yuki sighs, and turns back to Tohru and Momiji. ?We should split up now.?
?All right.? Tohru and Yuki turn and walk away, in opposite directions.
?Oh, Yuki-kun?? calls out Tohru.
?Yeah??
?Be careful!?
Yuki smiles at her, and walks away.

Haru looks down from his perch in the tree, and sees Momiji walking toward him. His black side now taking over, he grins. ?Baka. Little rabbits should hide, not be out in the open like that.? He shrugs. ?Oh well,? he aims he gun, and pulls the trigger.

?What the hell!? Haru looks down at his outfit and sees paint on himself. Looking down, he sees an empty spot where Momiji was, and a splatter of paint next to it.
?Damn, I missed.? Haru climbs down from the tree, and looks around, a pissed expression on his face. ?But who the hell shot me??
Behind a rock a ways away from him, Shigure sits, smoking a cigarette. ?First Kagura, now Haru. He should know better then to leave himself open like that.?
?You should really take your own advice,? says a voice.
Shigure looks over, and sees someone standing next to him. ?Wha-??
::POW!::
Yuki grins, and looks down at Shigure, who is now out. ?I?ve always wanted to do that.?
Shigure glares at him, and walks away.

Momiji slowly walks around a tree, making sure no one was on the other side. He breathes a sigh of relief and sits down. In the past couple minutes, he?s heard three shots go off, and he had no idea who might have caused it.
Of course, one of the shots was for him. Luckily, he was able to get away unharmed.
A sound causes Momiji to look behind him. His eyes grow wide. ?Dang it.?
::POW!::
?Why did you do that?? he whines.
Yuki shrugs. ?I don?t know. You were here, I guess.?
?Waaaaaaa, Yuki shot me!? Momiji cries.
::POW!::
The force of the next shot causes Yuki to back up against the tree. ?Huh? Who the-??
Tohru walks up to the two of them.
?Honda-san?? Yuki looks at her, eyes wide. ?You shot me? But, why??
Tohru thinks for a moment, then shrugs. ?I don?t know.? She walks up to Yuki. ?Are you all right? I didn?t mean to shoot you.?
?Yeah,? he mumbles. ?I?m fine. Come on. I think the game is over. We should head back.?
?Okay.?
-GAME OVER, 1 person remaining. Winner, Honda Tohru-
The three walk up to ?home base,? which was actually a cabin somewhere on the field. Chaos faces them as soon as they enter.
?I can?t believe you would do something like that to me Tori-san! I mean, I?m you?re friend!? cries Aya.
Hatori ignores him, and continues to smoke.
?I just can?t believe Yuki-kun shot me! ME! After giving him room and board all these years!? Shigure retorts, smoking his own cigarette.
Yuki snorts. ?You deserved it.?
Haru looks at everyone. ?I just want to know who shot me.?
?And me!? calls out Kagura.
Shigure grins, a proud expression on his face. ?That would be me.?
?WHAT?!? the two reply at the same time.
?Hmmph, I never got the chance to go after the damn rat,? grumbles Kyo, from the corner.
Yuki smacks him on the head. ?Get over it.?
?So, who won anyway?? asks Haru.
Tohru smiles. ?It was me!? she says, bouncing up and down. ?I like this game!?
The door suddenly flies open. Standing there is the instructor. He marches up to Tohru and takes her hand. ?Congratulations young lady! Because you are the last one standing, you get this special prize!? He puts an envelope in Tohru?s hand, and turns to walk away.
?Thank you all for playing! By the way, please leave within twenty minutes, or you will be charged for another hour,? and slams the door behind him.
Everyone gathers around Tohru. ?So, what did you win?? Momiji excitedly asks.
Tohru opens the envelope, and squeals. ?I won a free game of paintball! We should go for my birthday!?
Everyone groans. ?Let?s go home,? says Shigure.
?Best idea you?ve had all day,? says Kyo.

Well, that was it! Don?t ask me why I used the people I did. I would have put in more, but then story would have been way to long, and I didn?t feel like making this a chapter story. But, I will be putting this on FF.net soon, so look for the better, revised version there! Ja, ne!
