"Rykan Ja'Keem, it's an anagram," Heero said catching Trowa's eye, "for Jake Kemner. Just like Benjamin Meckers is an anagram for James Kemner."
"Haven't figured out the other letters yet, have you?" Jake asked.
"No," Heero said tightly.
?I can?t tell you why Jamie took Foreign Minister Peacecraft,? Jake said, ?but I don?t think he has any intention of harming her, especially not if he took her to ?El Miraco? and Sophie.?
?Sophie?? Trowa asked.
?Sophia,? Jake said, ?she?s a French woman, worked for the Alliance briefly during the war as a child before disappearing.?
?If she?s French, why would she have a Spanish ship?? Trowa questioned.
?I don?t know, the ship may not be hers, or maybe she thought it would through the Alliance off her back and just decided to keep the name.?
?What about Novadust?? Heero demanded. Jake?s hands clenched into fists and he gritted his teeth. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes.
?My father never intended for it to get so out of hand,? he said raggedly, ?He saw ho many lives were destroyed by the war and he wanted to help them.?
?By drugging them?? Heero said, slightly harshly.
?Not everyone is as strong as you,? Jake said, ?my father wanted to help those people.?
?Who figured out the Novadust? The use of it?? Trowa asked.

Tears were snaking down Ben?s cheeks as he sat in a corner of his room. The hard floor dug into his back as he pressed into it. The pain felt good, it felt necessary. He had destroyed so many lives, all because of that stupid discovery.
?Ben?? Sophie opened the door and walked inside. Closing it securely behind her she studied him in the weak light.
?I killed him,? Ben whispered, ?I killed him.?
?No,? Sophie said harshly, ?you didn?t kill anyone.?
?Look at him Sophie! Look at him and try to tell me he?s alive!?
?Ben!? Sophie drew back, shocked at his outburst, ?he doesn?t need your outbursts now??
?What does he need?? Dias asked.
He stood in the doorway, glaring at them through his sweaty black hair. Relena stood behind him. Ben got to his feet and stood next to Sophie. She pulled out her gun and aimed it at Dias.
?Are you going to shoot me Sophia?? Dias asked, ?do it, I?d welcome it to tell you the truth.?
?Welcome this!? Ben grabbed Dias from behind and got him in a choke hold. Sophie threw her gun back into it?s holster and grabbed her knife. Dias began to struggle but couldn?t break free. Ben loosed his hold enough to turn Dias around so his back faced Sophie. She grabbed him and cut his shirt off.
?Holy Shit.?
It was the first time any of them had heard Sophie curse in English. But Ben could immediately see why she had. It took all his strength to keep his grip around Dias?s neck. Sophie knocked him unconscious once again.
?Get him to the medical room,? she said to one of the crew members who had come to investigate the noise.
?Wha??
?I said now!? Sophie yelled. The crew member nodded and picked Dias up. Ben fell to his knees.
?I destroyed him.?

Heero stood on the deck of the Catta Cattina, watching the sun sink below the horizon. The sky soon became dark blue, filled with stars. Heero had gotten used to the sunsets and night-times on earth. He preferred them to the colony nights.
It was easier to kill on the earth nights.
But the darkness did remind him of Relena, and the one kiss they had shared. Heero thought it was silly of him to remember one event so acutely when all the rest just blurred together.
But it did stand out.
Heero sighed and ran a hand through his hair, as if he could sweep the memories away from his troubled mind.
When has protecting Relena ever been your job?
Heero ran a hand through his hair again, trying to get the thought out of his mind--unsucessfully. In his heart, he knew that he was afraid to see her again, afraid to know what she thought of him--
afraid she'd be ashamed.
He was still killing, even when the war was done. Heero Yuy needed a purpose in life, even if it was killing. Cursing, Heero turned away from the now dark sky.
"Johnathon Avery Respondell."
Heero turned to see Jake standing behind him. He was slightly hunched over, looking far older than he was.
"He first figured out how to use Novadust, but my brother, he still blames himself."
"Why?" Heero asked.
"Because he said the idea as a joke, he never expected Avery to take it so seriously. He's the one who tried to take Relena--or someone who worked for him. James wouldn't kidnap someone--"
"You haven't spoken to your brother in almost ten years. How sure are you he hasn't changed?" Heero demanded.
Jake let out a harsh laugh.
"You do your research Yuy."
Heero nodded. Jake sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I'd like to agree with you, but I have to believe that I know my twin well enough. I have faith in him."
"Why?" Heero questioned, puzzled by the fact that someone could put their trust in someone else so blindly.
"Because," Jake said simply, "I do."
"Haven't figured out the other letters yet, have you?" Jake asked.
