Pet Perils
Hilde: Duo, wake up already, it's time to go to the airport.
Duo: Almost slept through the alarm, didn't I?
Hilde: You did.
*later at the circus grounds*
Duo: *honks horn repeatedly*
Hilde: I don't think everyone appreciates that, darling.
Duo: Hey, if I have to wake up then everybody else should too.
Catherine: *comes running up* Hey!
Duo: Hey!
Catherine: Thanks for doing this you two, let's go!
*inside the car*
Hilde: *in the backseat with Catherine* [and no - not in that way!]
Catherine: *unzips the bag she brought with her*
Hilde: What's that?
Catherine: I hope you don't mind, but I brought someone with me.
Duo: *from driver's seat* You brought a contortionist? Cool!
Catherine: No. *brings out two lion cubs* Meet Kiara and Kovu.
Hilde: *is suspicious*
Catherine: They're the cubs Trowa and I brought up.
Kiara: *goes up to Hilde*
Hilde: *immediately straightens up*
Duo: Babe, you're not afraid of cats are you?
Hilde: *strained voice* No, not at all.
*15 minutes later*
Catherine: How much farther to the airport?
Duo: We left late so we're caught in traffic - not for a while.
Kiara: *sleeping on Catherine's lap*
Hilde: *sniffs air* What's that smell?
Catherine: Someone farted!
Duo: Wasn't me.
Hilde and Catherine: Kovu!
Kovu: *lies down in shame*
Duo: How are you doing ladies?
Catherine: *hyperventilating* I... can't... breathe...
Hilde: Duo! Open the windows, hurry!
Catherine: .... So stinky....
*45 minutes later*
Duo: Almost there now.
Hilde: Catherine, does Kiara get nervous in the car?
Catherine: Sometimes, but she goes on elephant rides with me all the time.
Kiara: *hops off Catherine's lap and starts walking around*
Hilde: She's shaking like a leaf.
Catherine: Oh, come here baby, it's ok--
Kiara: *stops shaking and puts her head down to the seat*
Catherine: NO!
Hilde: What is she do-- ew.
Kiara: *expels the contents of her stomach*
Catherine: Not here, this isn't our car! No barfing in the car!
Duo: *cracks up* Want some kleenex?
Hilde: It's gonna take more than kleenex to clean this up.
Catherine: I'm so sorry for all this trouble.
Hilde: That's okay, but it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new purse. *sighs heavily*
Duo: *still cracking up*
*at the airport - finally*
Duo: Want to come with me?
Hilde: I'll stay here with Catherine.
Duo: I'll bring some wet paper towels.
*inside the car*
Catherine: Trowa and Quatre should be back now.
Hilde: The flight could have been delayed.
Catherine: The cubs missed him. *sniffs air*
Hilde: Not again! *tries to open the window* It won't work.
Catherine: Duo forgot to open it for us.
Hilde: I'll just open the door --
Catherine: Don't!
Hilde: *opens door and car alarm sounds* KEY! WHERE'S THE KEY?!
Catherine: He took it.
Hilde: *quickly closes door but alarm still sounds* We're going to get arrested.
Catherine: *sighs* It still stinks in here.
Hilde: *sighs* So it does.
*Duo returns from the terminal*
Duo: Hey, look who I found inside.
Catherine: Trowa! Hi, Quatre.
Trowa: Hey.
Quatre: Nice to see you again.
Duo: Who wants shotgun?
Hilde: Me!
Duo: Fine by you guys?
Trowa: *shrugs*
Quatre: Catherine, you brought the cubs. *pets one of them*
Catherine: Why not? They missed you two.
Trowa: What's this?
Catherine: Oh never mind that, it's just some floaties.
Trowa: I meant the smell.
Quatre: Did you get here without trouble?
Duo: *cracks up yet again* Brought some tissues and toilet paper for you, Catherine.
Trowa: *looks down at his feet*
Catherine: *realizes that Kiara is shaking again*
Quatre: What's that smell?
Hilde: WINDOWS!
