Blissful Ignorance

"HEERO!!!" Relena yelled where have you been all night?!!! I was going out of my mind with worry and....." Heero walked through the house with Relena on his heel.He'd heard this a million and one times ,this would make it a million and two.
Relena I told u before I was working I can't call you every second of evert day"
" I know but I can't help but worry" he turned and faced her
"I know I apprciate it " he kissed her "but this is my job I thought you'd be accustomed by now"
"I'm never going to get accustomed to it"
"I have to go I'll see you when I get back"
"Bye"

"Hilde I don't know what I'm going to do?"relena said
"I know exactly what you're going through, I had the exact same problem with Duo" hilde replied.
"What did you do ?"
"I bought him a beeper, now whenever i want him I beep him. Now he can't say he didn't get my message cause I know he'l be lying"
"A beeper huh. You just gave me an idea"
"Don't I always"
"Shut up Hilde"
"OOOh make me" the two then erupted in laughter.

That night......
"So heero I got something for you." she said as she snuggled closer to him
"I don't want it" he said
"You don't even know what it is"
I do know I'm not going to like it"
"Please " she said as she rolled her eyes.Thesn she pulled out a bag "Here"
Heero took the bag and looked in. His eyes darted from Relena to the bag and back again."A beeper"
"Yup" she said happily"now you don't have to worry about not calling me cause I can page you when I'm worried and then you can call me and let me know you're alright." she said
"I'm still waiting to hear the part about where I don't have to worry about calling you"
"Oh Heero just try it ok"
"Fine"

For the next few days it was the same routine, it would get late, Relena would page him, he would call home just to make her happy. Then one night Heero didn't receive a page from her
"She usually pages me at eleven"heero said
"So what you should be glad" Duo said "if it makes you feel better why don't you call home"
"I will" Heero picked up the phone and dialed his home number but the line was busy
"Sooooo"
"It's busy, cover for me I'm going to check on her"
"fine do what you want"

Heero was home in less than twenty minutes. He ran up the steps and opened the door. What he saw shocked him, there she was laying on the sofa on the phone."You're home early"
He just stared until he said "The line was busy"
"Oh I was talking to Hilde" she said then smiled evily "I wasn't expecting you to call"

Now who's overworried, eh?

However, it seemed kinda odd to me that you would use a "beeper" instead of a "cellphone"..beepers are already obsolete and I don't think many people are still using them ..So I guess, this must be some old fic of yours that you decided to revamp..Anyways, great job!!!..the humour was great! keep it up!

i know cell phones are the in thing but a cell really wouldn't have had the same effect but hey thanks for the reviews i'm sooooooo grateful
