FRIEND OR FOE CHAPT 3

Unable to comtrol herself or her need for answers Noin asked "What are we going to do, Who's going to tell Relena?"
Une responed "Relena is scheduled to come back tomorrow, i've already made arrangements for her flight to be cancelled. I had her trip extended for another week under the pretenses that the colonies are begining to disagree on whether or not to continue the Solaris Project, that should give us enough time to solve this problem.
" Une are you suggesting we not tell Relena?" we can't do that this is her son, she'll never forgive us!!"Noin said
"There's no reason to tell her about something that may be nothing Noin"
"It's still wrong"
Relena is not to know of this , that's an order!!"
Quatre who had been quiet the whole time finally spoke up "How are we to resolve this in a week if we don't know who they are or what they want we have nothing to go on."
"In the past we've done more in less time" Une said her voice raising just a bit out of frustration
"Whoever did this planned extensively which means it's not going to be easy to find them further more defeat them" Wufei stated
"Hey why are you guys being so gloomy about this these guys may not be as good as you think they could slip up which will give us our chance" Duo said trying to lightem the mood.
"I highly doubt they'll make stupid mistakes, whoever they are probably went to exterme measures to make sure we don't interfere with their plans, any one who knows Relena knows her relation to us and if they're ready to take that chance they hace to be good." was Trowa's reply
the last voice heard was that of Zechs' "Call me when you have something solid and when you have a plan." even though he was trying to stay calm everyone knew differently.

The next day on L2 Relena had barely stepped one foot in her office when she was informed of a cll for her. She went to her desk and took the call
"Hello"
"Good morning Relena" it was Noin "how are you?"
"I'm fine Noin, is there something wrong?"
"No not at all why do you ask?"
"you sound nervous and you're making me nervous" on the line Relena heard Noin chuckle "Now who's the worrier?" Noin said "I was just calling to check up on you."
"O well thanks. Noin i called home yesterday but I did not get a response"
Noin cut her off "don't worry Relena they were probably out"
"You're probably right.. how are they Alex and Emilia?
"Relena I have to go there's an emergency. talk to you soon." Noin hungup before she could ask anymore questions.
*I hope you can forgive me* Noin thought to herself
As soon as Relena hung up with noin she got another call this time from Senator Monroe
"Good morning Ms Relena "
"hello Senator how are you?"
"Fine thanks, I was just calling to inform you that due to rising disagreement amongst the colonies the board has decided to extend the meetings another week" Relena was shocked she no longer heard the voice on the next line instead she was trying to comprehend what he just said it's not before she heard her name that she came back to reality
"Ms Relena are you there?'
"Yes"
"So will you be staying?" as much as she wanted to say no Relena knew she had a job to do
"Yes I wll"
"Good to hear" with that their concersation ended. Relena sunk into her chair as she tried to digest the news.*another week* was all she could say

In a dark room which resembled an abandoned warehouse two figures stood one a man, the othr a woman
"Is everything in order?" the woman asked
"Yes this little boy will be the perfect bait for them all" came the male reply
"It's called killing six pilots with one bomb"

One day had passed since she was told that her trip was extended the only thing on her mind now was her family.The first week was ok but now she was beginning to get home sick. Relena picked up the phone to call her family, just the thought of being able to hear their voices excited her but when the phone was answered the only thing she felt was fear.
"Good evening Miss Relena how nice of you to call us" maybe the fact that a male answered the phone shocked her but it was his mocking tone of voice and the fact that he knew it was her even before she said anyting that scared her. Trying to sound in control she asked
"Who's this?"
"How nice of you too ask although I don't think you want to know but since you asked......I'm the person that has you're son"
"I don't believe that" she said anxiety cleary in her voice
"Really you don't?" didn't you get my phone call? didn't you hear him?"
at those words she recalled the call she got with the crying child in the background, there was a long silence before the man continued to speak "So you do remember me, I'm flattered, I don't mean to cut you're trip short",,his voice suddenly very serious "but if you're not on earth in twenty four hours little Alex's brown hair is going to turn red and do you know why? no? it's going to be red from the blood coming from his head and the rest of his bidy not a pretty sight is it? See you soon Relena"
It was all a blank the whole conversation she just had secinds ago was now a blank *it can't be true..it couldn't be.... it just...... couldn't* she thought as she wiped the tears that began to flow "but if it isn't true then why am I crying?" Before she knew it she was crying uncontrollably anyone passing outside would hear the pain and fear filled cries of a mother.
