FRIEND OR FOE (CHAPTER 2 OR 1 1/2)

On L2 Relena was becoming more and more excited. It was day four of her trip which meant she only had to endure one more day of conferences, one more day before she could see her family again.She nearly fell skipping her way to her room but she didn't care, nothing could ruin her day.
Once inside Relena took a long bath, brushed her hair, pampered herself she was just that happy. She was going to spend the rest of the night relaxing. Just then (ring ..ring), it was her private line.
"Hello....Hello" for the second time this week someone called her abd she got no response. Then faintly in the background she heard the sound of a child crying at least that's what it sounded like but she didn't pay much attention to it. She shrugged it off as another wrong number and wnet back to enjoying her night

Meanwhile on earth....
" How much information do we have?" Une asked
" Not much colonel whoever it was was very experienced not so much as a hair or finger print" the officer replied
"Who cares I don't want to know about his experience, I want a lead, something anything!!!"Une retorted
"i'm sorry colonel"
"You're sorry, you're not the one who has to tell an uncle his nephew is missing , an aunt, friends , his fath" she hesitated "his father, not to mention Relena" remorse filling her voice
"Colonel are you alright?"
"Yes I'm fine don't worry about me, worry about that poor little boy and the bastard who did this" "Oh and lieutenant call a meeting for........."
"I know colonel, I know" replied the officer. that was the last thing they said before going their seperate ways.
"You are all probably wondering why you are here"
"Actually I was wondering what to have for lunch" Duo chirped in. He received stares from all the occupants in the room but he was used to it, but Lady Une had more important things to worry about and that's exactly what she said
"We don't care Duo now shut up and listen" this was enough to silence Duo he knew it wasn't a good idea to annoy Une when she was in her moods. Seeing she had their full attention she continued "We have a problem, a big problem, a problem that is going to be very personal for some if not all of you here" she paused "On any other occasion having any personal involvements in a case was a definite elimination but I am confident that it is those emotions that will help us solve this case." she stopped and took a few deep breaths. she continued but in a more informal tone, one of strictly business hoping that her tone would stop some of the emotion about to arise. "Vice Foreign Minister Dorlian's son has been kidnapped, at this current time we have no evidence connecting anyone to it but be assured we are doing every thing possible......" she was cut short by a growingly hysterical Noin
"How can you be so calm about this Alex is missing "
"Noin everything is being done to ensure his safe return. I know this is hard but we have to maintain a professional attitude or we could spoil the whole thing" Seeing that her words were falling on deaf ears Une stopped. She took a pittying look at the faces surrounding her. They had all worked together before and everything turned out fine. Trowa stood silent as always, Quatre was in shock if you looked close enough you could see tears, Duo who could never stop talking was at a loss for words not for long anyways his concern was for his friends. He uttered something under his breath no one actually heard what was said but they all had a clue .The silence didn't last long before Noin started rambling all over again
"How did this happen? When did this happen? Do we know who did it?" if no one heard any of her questions they heard the last "Who's going to tell them?" No one bothered asking who they all knew who she maent when she said 'them'.
Once again silenece engulfed the room as they were all lost in their own thoughts and worries. This time the silence seemed to last an eternity.

i know the chapters seem short but i'm trying to stay as close to the plot as possible
