Death Angels Chapter 1
//L4//
Quatre stood at the window, looking down at the bustling traffic in Crystal City in L4. He was
supposed to be doing work, but a nagging sense of unease was bothering him, distracting him from
his work. Part of him was telling him to ignore his feelings while another part of him was
ringing the alarms at full blast, urging him to act before something bad happened.
Quatre felt his palm unit vibrate at his side, breaking his reverie. Quatre quickly punched a
couple of buttons on his palm unit, a voice message for the foreman at his plant on L8 played.
"Mr. Winner, you better come down here quick, the neo-gundamium reserves are missing!"
//Earth, Sank Kingdom, New Port City//
"Madam, I don't understand why we can not reach agreement on this. It's plain and simple; L7's
reserves of pure gundamium should be used! We just cannot let that metal just sit there!", a
masculine voice argued, the tone and volume of his voice increasing with each word as he jumped
out of his seat. Relena motioned for the man to sit
down, her voice conciliatory as she told him, "The Earth Sphere United Nation has no need for
pure gundamium. For us to by this from your colony, Mr. Westover, the action would be viewed as
if the government was preparing for some type of secret war--". Mr. Westover interrupted Relena,
asking, "Are you still standing by your concept of kaizen heiwa, absolute pacifism? Miss
Peacecraft, I know you should know from the last war that absolute pacifism doesn't work.? his
face taking a slight sneer.
Relena's face stayed the same, her sweet, understanding political facade hiding the feelings of
disgust that this man aroused in her. Relena slowly stated, "Mr. Westover, all I can say to you
about this is that I can make sure that the next time the Preventers need
gundamium, I'll make sure that they will buy it from you." Mr. Westover threw up his hands,
stalking out of the room, showing that this meeting was over.
Relena rubbed her temples, her daily headache increasing ten-fold after dealing with that man.
For the past 5 months, he had been trying to sell her that same gundamium. His fervor had made
Relena want to make inquiries into his past, but nothing came up, not even Wufei could find
anything slightly suspicious about the man.
Relena laid her head on her desk, groaning as the door opened. Sally stepped in, an uneasy smile
on her face. "Relena, I have two surprises for you, one good, and one potentially bad."

"Duo!! What did you do with that screwdriver?!", Hilde yelled out as she gave a Patented-Yuy
Glare O'Death to the NIC Card that she was trying to remove from a computer. She had spent the
past hour trying to remove the NIC so she could fix the motherboard of the computer only to find
out that it had been screwed on all that time. Thanking God that she didn't break anything,
Hilde trudged up the steps out of the garage/fix-it shed to the living room, to track down Duo.
Stepping into Duo's office, Hilde found Duo staring intently at an email message. Noting that it
was heavily coded, Hilde asked Duo, "What is it about?? Duo said nothing, just motioning to
Hilde to let her know that he had noticed her presence. Still reading thee mail, Duo cursed
loudly as he reached the end. "Heero, what a nice way of telling everyone that you are still
alive!", as he turned to face Hilde.
Hilde merely stared at Duo before he blushed, his eyes hardening as he stated, "I can't tell you
what I've just learned, but if Heero's right, the world's worst nightmare is about to begin
again."
//Earth, North America//
"I'm so happy that you came, Trowa, even though it's just for one night only. This was the show
of the century, the Bloom Siblings Reunite for the Knife Show of the Century!? the ringmaster
crowed, as Catherine and Trowa shared a glance. Trowa and Iria had settled in
North America, in New York, as Iria was originally doing a fellowship at the Columbia University
Medical School that matured into a job teaching medical students about DNA and DNA splicing.
Iria's specialty was test-tube babies, the legendary new-types that had
been running around since the colonies were built. But Iria's work was just experimental; she
wasn't into making specialized humans, playing God.
Trowa decided to take classes at NYU after Iria got the job at Columbia, obtaining a doctorate
degree in nuclear physics in 3 years, a degree being put to use as a professor after the
President of the University and the Dean of the Science and Engineering Department begged him on
their knees to teach at their school. Trowa had raised an eyebrow and accepted, even though it
cemented his destiny, that he would never perform in the circus again.
The only blight on their lives was the death of their baby girl, Angel Marie, to the flu 3
months after her birth. The death of their child had shaken them both, but also brought Iria and
Trowa closer together, cementing a powerful relationship that wouldn't be broken.
Iria hugged Trowa, her blue eyes twinkling as she teased Catherine. "You know you are just as
happy as the Ringmaster, you miss having Trowa as your personal target.? Iria said as Catherine
shook her head. "He's my brother, I want him out of harms way, you never know with my knives.?
Catherine said loftily. Trowa shuddered, Catherine's knives had hit too close for comfort too
many times.
Catherine looked at her brother and his wife with longing. They truly loved each other; she
wanted something like that in her life. None of the men that she had met seemed like men that
she could live the rest of her life with. The only man that had made her feel special was Trowa
and that was because when she met him, she felt like she had discovered a piece of her past, a
family member. Catherine waved goodbye to Trowa and Iria as they prepared to leave.
Iria said, "That was a really good performance. Now I know what I was missing when Quatre said
that your circus performances were something to remember. Trowa grinned as he drove, he was
still laconic, but you could tell how he was feeling now. A beep sounded, as the vid-screen came
up. Iria gasped, "Heero?". Heero just stated, "Trowa, I'm back.? before signing off. Staring at
her husband, Iria waited for Trowa to explain as he kept his eyes on the road. Telling Iria that
it was alright, Trowa thought, "Heero said he wasn't going to come back unless there is trouble.
There must be something going on.?
//Earth, Luxemburg//
Wufei practiced his Tai-chi, desperately trying to calm his nerves. He woke up this morning to
an urgent message from Heero Yuy, the one and only Heero Yuy, missing for 5 years. If Yuy was
right, Wufei would have to activate the Gundams, something that he really didn't want to do. He
was subject to the whims of the people and being of some importance in this government, Wufei's
job was subject to the people's confidence in his work. Anything that could potentially make him
look bad, like activating the Gundams, could mean his losing his job. But if Yuy was right, he
may have to...
//L6, Airport//
Midii brushed back her long blond hair, tucking it under her hat as she prepared to embark from
L6 to L4. After speaking with Red Wolf two nights ago, Midii had taken an overnight flight to
L6, supposedly to check a shipment of goods for her dressmaking business. In reality, she was
sent by Heero to make completely sure for him that the rumors were true, that there was a
terrorist movement starting in the new colonies. From what she learned, Midii was sure that the
movement was currently only in L8, but could spread. Midii whispered, "Hopefully it won't."
//Mars Terraforming Project//
Noin hummed as she filled out paperwork. She knew that Zechs was going to propose tonight,
finally, after 5 years of hemming and hawing. Noin smiled, she had wanted this all her life, she
would have jumped at the chance to marry him every since she met him. But over the past 5 years,
Noin was able to really get to know Zechs, the true Zechs, not Milliardo Peacecraft, not The
Zechs Merquise of Victoria and OZ, but the real him, his real personality. She truly loved him
more deeply than before. Walking over to water her
carnations, Noin was oblivious to a man coming through the window, until she smelled a
sweet-smelling scent, then she was out, carried out the window by a man in black, a note on the
desk saying, "It has now begun."
Finished for now. Chapter 2 soon.
