[FIC] Cruise Part 1

It has happened!
I dont know really how it happened but it did, I personally blame all of the great writers at this site, its THEIR fault!
Anyways, I have started writing my very own fanfic, since Im a seaman its going to take place onboard a ship so there might be some "seamen expressions" wich might be hard to understand, bear with me, I have tried to cut them down to a minimum so that this story can be understood by all people.
I have the plot finished but I dont know exactly what is going to happen in the meantime...
BE WARNED: There MIGHT be some lemon situations, I have not descided on that yet but I will warn in good time if there is!
Just for the record, I happen to be a swede so it might be some bad grammar or spelling, I have used a spellcheck but some mistakes might have slipped by.
Oh, and please send me some constuctive critiscism, this is my very first fanfiction ever...

Friday Morning:
?Beep...beep...beep...? The sound of an alarm clock rang out in the early morning, disturbing the silent sleep of the young woman in the bed.
Slowly she started waking up, reaching out her hand Kaname Chidori turned off her alarm and moaned softly.
?Mmm...morning now again?? She rose herself on her elbows and looked around her bedroom with gazing eyes.
Slowly she brushed some her out of her face and sat up in her bed, throwing her legs over the edge and putting her bare feet onto the floor she arose and almost stumbled towards the balcony.
?Why am I like this in the mornings?? She asked herself as she opened the balcony door to allow the fresh air access to her apartment, a mornig ritual that always made her shiver slightly in a comforting way, and it also always felt twice as nice taking her morning shower after being shilled down some the moment after she had gotten out of her warm bed.
She stumbled away towards the shower, reached the bathroom, turned on the lights and turned on the shower.
After getting undressed she stepped inside the shower, emitting a moan when the hot water started pouring down on her head.
?Ahhh...that felt nice, a hot shower is exactly what I need in the morning? she mumbled to herself as she poured some shampoo on her head and started washing her hair.
When she had finsiehd showering she dryed herself and swept in the towel she headed off towards the kitchen to make some breakfast.
She finished the breakfast and cleaned the dish and dressed herself in her school uniform, white blouse and blue skirt with, the uniform off Jindai Highschool.
After getting dressed and brushed her teeth she went through her usual procedure, checking that she had all of her necessary belongings with her.

?Student notebook, check?
?Handkerchief, check?

?Cosmetics, check?
?Nail-care items, check?

?Band-aid for Sousuke, check?

Satisfied with her checkup she put all of the items into her purse and fastened her wristwatch and started walking towards the door. Then she remembered what she had forgotten and hurried back into her living room and with a last look on the photography of her mother she took off for the trainstation, prepared for the day to come.
?Fourty seven, fourty eight, fourty nine, fifty? With a grunt of satisfaction Sousuke finished with his pushups, and the entire morning training was with that completed, and headed towards the shower with his normal walking pace of 120 steps/minute, closing the distance in no time.
Throwing his training clothes into the laundry basket he stepped inside the shower, letting out a small gasp of schock as the cold water suddenly hit him.
It took a few seconds to get used to the cold water but after that it felt great, making the tension from the morning exercise vanish and made his whole body feel relaxed and in peace.
He placed his index finger onto his own throat, checking his pulse, ?Sixty three beats per minute? he mumbled to himself, ?Il be in complete rest in just a few minutes?
After that check he turned off the shower and exited, toweling himself dry and getting dressed in less than three minutes, efficient and just within the limit off Mithrils Soldier Manual, just as usual.
Sousuke walked off towards the kitchen, preparing his breakfast, fruit-flavored Calorie Mate and a couple off Rolls completed with an apple and orange juice to drink, as it contained C-vitamins.
Having finished his breakfast and cleaned the kitchen Sosuke brushed his teeth and then prepared for his inventory checkup before heading off towards school.
?Hmm, I had a strange feeling this morning? Sousuke mumbled to himself ?Its best that I prepare with uttermost care, one can never be to careful?
Placing his equipment on the workbench he quickly descided on the equipment that he should bring along himself this day.
?Fragmentation grenades, check?
?Stun grenades, check?
?C4 explosive, check?
?Combat knife, check?
?Handweapon Glock 26, check?
?Extra clips with 9mm bullets (live and rubber), check?
?Emergency Radio transmitter, check?

After he had packed all of the weapons that he had descided to use today inside his bag he replaced the other weapons inside the safe locker in his wardrobe.
Casting a quick glance on his old picture from Helmajistan, the one with himself surrounded with his companions from those days sitting on top of a fallen RK-92, he grabbed his bag and headed out from his compartment to meet up with Kaname at Sengawa station.
Outside it was a great day, the sun was shining bright and clear and it werent a single cloud on the sky.
The trees were bright green, the birds were singing so much that one could almost belive that their small hearts would burst by the pure joy they must be feeling.
The people that wandered the streets and the station all seemed happy, this early in the morning the temperature hadnt risen too much so noone would be irritated for having to be standing in the overfull trains.
Kaname was standing at her normal meeting spot, waiting for Sousuke, this morning she would catch him.
She almost always reached the meeting spot before he did and every morning she tried to find him, to be the one that got up behind HIM, saying goodmorning to HIM for a change.
It was almost scary how silent and stealthy he could move when he wanted to, she hadnt been able to catch him even once yet but this morning she sure would.
There was just one possible entrance that he could come from and today she hadnt looked away from that entrance once, she just KNEW that he hadnt walked in yet and she had no intention whatsoever to let go of the entrance no matter what, Harmageddon could struck if it wanted but she would NOT fail this morning.
Filled with thoughts of that kind she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.
?Kaname, Good morning, Im glad that you waited for me to arrive however you shouldnt be standing still keeping lookout in just one direction, one must always be aware of the entire area in ones perimiter?.
?Aahhh? she screamed out her surprice, just how could he move like that?
?Sou...Sousuke, how the he...how did you make it behind me? Nevermind that, good morning? recuperating from the schock she greeted him and started walking towards the school.
?It was easy being undetected Kaname, you were just looking in one direction, as I just said one must always...?
?Yes, yes, yes I know you just said that Sousuke, and I just said nevermind? Hmmpff
?I was merely making out a point that it is a good thing being aware of all that happens in your closest vicinity, that would make it easier for me to guard you? He said in with a calm, voice.
?Point taken Sousuke, really, Ill try to remember it? she said with a sigh, he was never going to change.
?Lets change subject, did you finish with your homework Sousuke? We have a test in geography today you know, I hope that all my studying has helped some, I just hate geography?
?Affirmative, I managed to complete the task without a problem?
?I seriously dont like geography, why do I need to know the names and capitols of all countries in South America? Its just so useless?
?I cant agree with you on that Kaname, there is always good to learn as much as you can about the world that we live in, numerous missions in the jungles of Brazil has tought me that, the villages there look exactly the same so without proper knowledge of their names you would be lost in no time...if the GPS should fail that is?
?Hmm, well maybe you are right? Kaname silenced, thinking hard before continiuing ?Brazil...hmm its capitol is Geneve right??
?Negative, Geneve is a city that lies in the south western part of Schweiz, the capitol of Brazil is Brasilia? Sousuke answered her question immediatly.
?Ahh I knew it, Im going to fail...Im going to fail miserably, I HATE GEOGRAPHY? The last part came out as a loud scream, making some old people look their way and shaking their heads.
?Calm down Kaname, please, there is no problem, you will pass the test just fine? Sousuke tried to be calm and resonable but it didnt have the effect on Kaname as he had thought.
?CALM DOWN? THE TEST IS TODAY YOU...YOU BIG MILITARY MORON, I HAVE TO PASS THAT TEST OR I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE EXTRA LESSONS AND I CANT DO THAT, I JUST CANT GAAHHH? She pulled out her Halisen and smacked Sousuke over the head with it.
?That hurt?
?It was supposed to, I cant belive how you can be so cold about something as serious as this instead of helping me in my hour of need?
?The test is in fifth period, I can assist you on our lunch break, there is an hour there that we can study in?
?Re...really? Would you do that for me?? She blushed some when she heard Sosukes suggestion

During their conversation they had closed the distance to the school and were now walking along the wall, almost at the gates they heard a voice call out behind them.
?Kana-chan, wait for me?
It was Kyoko Tokiwa, Kanames best friend that had called at them and now came scurrying towards them with her precious camera in her right hand and her bag in the left.
She came to halt in front of them and snapped a picture of them before stowing her camera away and greeted them.
?Good morning Kana-chan, Sousuke?
?Good morning Kyoko? Kaname said with a happy smile, glad to see her best friend.
?Good morning? Sousuke said with his usual stern voice.
?I have some wonderful news Kana-chan? Kyoko said with a voice that sped up with excitment, ?I overheard some of the teachers last evening when I was heading home, they talked about a class trip, wouldnt it be great? The last one wasnt that good with you being kidnapped and all but this one will be perfect? Kyoko almost shivered from excitment.
?Wow, thats great...I havnt heard anything about it though wich is abit strange, after all I AM Class Rep and should be informed about these kind of events??
?According to what I heard yesterday they will announce it to us today, after the test I presume...ohh I can?t wait?
?Me neither, a class trip would be so much fun and we HAVE been very busy the last months, maybe they want to reward us or something?
?Yeah, I wonder what kind of trip it is anyway??
?Like it matters, haha, I would just be glad to be off for a few days...but I have to admit, going to some of the beaches in the south would be fun?
?Shall we go to the classroom, the period is about to start in a few minutes? Sousuke spoke up suddenly, brutally wakening the two girls from their shared daydreams, like throwing a bucket of cold water over them.
They both jumped alittle at the sudden sound of Sousukes voice, they had completely forgotten everything that was going on around them.
The three teenagers took off towards the shcoolbuilding, making it into the classroom just as their teacher Eri Kagurazaka were closing the door.
?You three made it just in time? She said with a small wrinkle in her eyebrows but she let them in and then closed the door and walked back towards the desk to start the lesson.
It was English this period but Kaname didnt pay to much attention, she didnt need to since she had lived in the USA four years and spoke english without any problems.
She let her thoughts drift away and began making up fantasies about where they would go on their class trip, and what she would do...
She got an image of herself and Sousuke standing on a white beach, the sunset shining upon them...his lips getting closer and closer...the heat from his body against hers...closer and closer....
?Miss Chidori!?
A sudden voice pulled her back from daydreaming for the second time this morning and she quickly looked up towards the blackboard.
?Im glad that you could pay attention to me Miss Chidori? the teacher said, ?Could you please translate the meaning of ?In spite of?, loud and clear please?
Having no difficulties with that whatsoever she did as she was asked to and then sat down again, trying desperatly to pay attention but couldnt, her image from recently floated back into her mind no matter how hard she tried to stop it.
When the english lesson was over they had math and classical literature for the next two periods, Kaname managed to stay focused on her lessons and when the bell finally rung, signalling that it was lunch break she went together with Sousuke to the library for some geoghraphy studying.
?Do you want to eat something before we start studying Kaname?? Sousuke asked.
?Yes we can eat fast and then get to studying?
?Affirmative, I have some dryed beef and a couple of MRE, those will prove sufficent, giving us all the energy we need?
?Aww, theres no way that I eat any of those, how can you not be affected by its taste??
?I have eaten much worse when I was young, at that time I had to eat whatever I could get my hands on, garbage, rotten fruit and such...after a while I learned not to pay attention to taste?
?I...Im sorry Sousuke, its easy to forget what you have been through?
?Its not a problem?
?Anyway I made some rice balls last night to bring for me today, we can share those?
?I accept your kind offer Kaname, you are a kind person?
Sousuke said his last comment without any special thought, merely stating the fact that he thought Kaname to be a nice person, he hadnt been prepared for her reaction.
Kaname blushed crimson red and her eyes became all soft, it almost looked like she would faint any second.
In the past Sousuke had been worried about her when she went into a state like this, like the time when he had performed mouth to mouth on Mizuki and being thrown into the lake, after that Kaname had clamed down some and helped him up she had been like this for a few moments.
At that time he had been worried about her circulatory systems and suggested that she should go to a doctor and have it looked into...just to be safe, but she had been angry again and stormed off mumbling things to herself.
Wise from that incident and others like it aswell made him positive that she didnt have any circulatory problems but he just couldnt understand what the problem was, numerous other incidents had also taught him that he shouldnt make any comments on her state at this time...that would most probably lead to him being punched down with the Halisen again.
So he just sat there silently after his comment and looked upon Kaname, it took her a few moments to snap out of it and then she realised that he just sat there, looking at her...THAT almost made her blush again.
She had almost expected Sousuke to make some comment at her state but nothing came.
?My my, he really can learn something after all? she thought to herself, smiling.
?Shall we get started Sousuke??
?Affirmative, lets start with the countries that exist in South America to begin with?
?Okay, there are Brazil, Argentina, Chile...? She continiued to name the other countries aswell
?That is correct...?
She smiled happily, maybe she wasnt that awful as she had thought.
?...However you forgot about Paraguay and Uruguay, and Tanzania is not a country that lies in South America but in Africa, other than that it was correct?
Her smile vanished as fast as it had appeared.
?Gahh, I will never learn this?
?Yes you will, now lets try again?
They continiued their study session and after an hour she thought that maybe she would atleast pass the test after all.
Sousuke had been a great teacher, he put down just as much energy in teaching as he did in everything else, he gave it his all and with that anyone was bound to make some progress.
They packed their books away and made it to their fourth period, wich was history.
They took their seats and after a few minutes the teacher arrived and the lesson started, they were at the moment learning about Ancient Rome, a subject that fitted Sousuke perfect, he loved all kind of history and Rome had had the best army of its time, a fact that made sure that Sousuke would know everything about that era.
He had read the book ?The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire? numerous times aswell as many other books about the Roman Empire.
The lesson continiued, interrupted from time to time as Sousuke made comments or asked questions, wich was answered happily by the older gentleman, the teacher was thrilled by Sousukes knowledge in the history, it was so great to finally have a student that knew just as much as he did ?and maybe even more? he thought to himself before he continiued his discussion with Sousuke.
After the lesson they had a short break before the fifth period should start and Sousuke walked over to Kanames bench.
?Do you feel prepared now Kaname? He asked with something that could be taken as a worried look in his eyes.
?Yes Sousuke, i really do, thanks to you that is...i doubt that I would have passed this test without your help?
?Very well, I will return to my seat then? Sousuke said at the same time as the teacher entered the classroom.
?Good afternoon class? The teacher greeted them.
?Good afternoon sir? The class answered back in union
?As you all know we will have a test today, I hope that you all have studied enough!?
The class was silent, some of them glanced around looking somewhat nervous, this teacher was infamous for his hard tests.
?After I have handed out your tests there will be no speaking, you will all sit quiet, when you have finished you will put your papers upside down and then just sit still and wait for your friends to be finished, there is a timelimit of fourty five minutes?
With that the teacher handed out the tests and they all started scribbling.
Sousuke took it with ease, he was confident and he got to his work with determition, carefully reading each question and then without any hesitation he wrote down his answer before moving down to the next question in line.
1: Name the three largest cities within Brazil?
2: What is the capitol of Argentinas name?
3: What is the calculated area of the Rain Forest?
The test continiued in that type, having no less than 35 questions it was a hard test but Sousuke finished it well within the timelimit and he placed his test upside down on the front of his bench and then leaned back in his chair, surveying the room.
A few others had finished aswell but the bulk of the class was still scribbling, he glanced over towards Kaname and saw that she was writing still.
A sudden warmth overcame him as he looked at Kaname, it began in the center of his stomach and spread throughout his entire body, making it feel as he was on fire.
?What is this heat Im experiencing?? he thought to himself ?It feels like im hot, yet I have no signs of a fever, it always seems to come at me in the most inappropriate times also?
?I dont understand it at all, perhaps I should visit the infirmatory??
?Time is up class, pencils down? the teachers voice rang throughout the room, seizing all the scribbling and made all the students place their papers at the front of their desks.
?Miss Chidori, could you be so kind to collect all the tests and deliver them to me?
?Yes sir? Kaname rose and started collecting the tests, she then moved forward and gave them to the teacher and returned to her seat.
?Thank you Miss Chidori, now I will let your homclass teacher Mrs Kagurazaka have the word, she has an announcement to you all? with that the teacher assembled his belongings and the tests and left the room, a few moments later Mrs Kagurazaka entered and walked to the blackboard, facing the class she began to speak.
?Class 2-4, I have some good news to you, since our class trip to Okinawa were interrupted by that incident a few weeks ago the school has agreed that it would be fair to let you have a new class trip instead?
Cheers rang out from the room, everyone was shooting questions and comments.
?Wee, a new class trip?
?I wonder where we shall be going??
?Where are we going teacher??
?I told you Kaname? that was Kyoko
?When will we be leaving??
?Settle down, settle down and I will give you all the info that you will need? Mrs Kagurazaka tried to calm down the class, it took a few minutes before everyone was quiet and she could continiue.
?We will be leaving on Sunday and will be gone for five days, you will recive a note with the times and all the necessary information?
?But where will we be going teacher?? Kyoko couldnt be quiet anymore, she had to know now.
?We will be on a five days cruise with the ?Pacific Pearl? a large cruising vessel, traveling from Tokyo down to the south of Japan visiting a varity of the islands there and then returning? that statement made everyone go into a frenzy, most of them had never been to sea at all.
?A cruise...with a ship...WOW?
?Ohhh this will be soo great?
?I cant belive it, we will have so much fun?
?Wait, what if we get sea sick??
?There are pills for that?
?Great, ohh this will be perfect?
Sousuke was the only one that not were jumping around and cheering, immediatly after that he had got to know about the cruise he started thinking about how difficult it would be to protect Kaname on a ship like that, most likely there would be over 1000 passengers and approximatly 300 sailors on that ship, there would be no way that he could control them all.
He would have to send a PM in to Tuatha de Danaan together with his regular report and then await the responce he got, it was the best course of action, he shouldnt take out the problems in advance.
Having descided on that he got back and listened carefully to the teachers advice, she were now talking about what they should think of taking alon with them.
?We will stop at several islands and there will be possibilities for swimming, both on the islands and onboard the ship aswell, they have no less than two large swimming pools and a couple of saunas onboard.?
?Dont forget to go to the apothecary and buy sea sick pills, the ship shouldnt roll to much but ?better safe than sorry? as the old saying states?
Mrs Kagurazaka continiued and told them the time and place that they should meet at on Sunday and then she handed out a paper to each of them wich pretty much stated the same things, after that she dismissed them and left the classroom.
Immediatly the students started to talk again, noone seemed to be leaving the classroom despite the fact that there were no more lessons, everyone was to excited about this class trip to leave just yet.
Kaname thought about what to bring when Kyoko approached her.
?See I told you that it would be something special? She said witha huge grin
?Yes you did, Im so excited, this will be prefect?
?And Sousuke will be together with us...on a romantic boat...alot of sunsets? Kyoko said with a grin
?Ahh UAHAHA that military moron, he wouldnt make any difference UAHAHA? Kaname laughed in a maniacly way
?Yeah, yeah, I guess this conversation is over? Kyoko sighed and wondered when Kaname finally would admit that she indeed WAS interested in Sousuke.
One after one the students dropped off and walked home, Kaname and Sousuke were walking towards the station when Kaname asked him what he thought about this trip, since she hadnt heard him make any comment at all this far.
?It will be enjoyable to get to visit the southern islands, there are many places there that I have wanted to visit sometime, and I have haeard that the fishing there should be excellent although I have never had the opportunity to travel there myself?
?And on a large ship like that, I have never been on a boat before, unless you would consider the tourboats in New York...or the submarine...but you know what I mean? She must have sounded abit worried because Sousukes answer came immediatly.
?There is nothing to be worried about Kaname, large vessels are very safe these days, they wont sink easily and the crew and command is very high educated, in fact the only thing to be worried about would be from terrorists or such groups, ever since the incident in with the Twin Towers in New York the nightmare is that some group would take over a large ship?
?I know that they are safe, I wasnt worried either, I am just abit excited that is all? She was beginning to feel somewhat irritated, why did he always have to be so...so unromantic, couldnt he understand that she didnt worry about incidents and accidents all the time, she was worrying over HIM.
?There is nothing wrong with being cautiuos, entering new grounds should always make you aware of the situation, as I might have said before: One must always be aware of the entire area in ones perimiter?.
?GAHH? She screamed and brought out the Halisen, before Sousuke could react she smacked him hard upon the head, forcing him to kneel.
?Kaname, that hurt alot? he said with a forced voice
?It was supposed to you military moron, jerk, big idiot, why can?t you be normal for once in awhile??
?I dont know Kaname, it is most certainly because of my years in Afghanistan and my military background?
?It was a RETHORICAL question Sousuke, you werent supposed to answer that...moron?

After that check he turned off the shower and exited, toweling himself dry and getting dressed in less than three minutes, efficient and just within the limit off Mithrils Soldier Manual, just as usual.
Sousuke walked off towards the kitchen, preparing his breakfast, fruit-flavored Calorie Mate and a couple off Rolls completed with an apple and orange juice to drink, as it contained C-vitamins.
Having finished his breakfast and cleaned the kitchen Sosuke brushed his teeth and then prepared for his inventory checkup before heading off towards school.
?Hmm, I had a strange feeling this morning? Sousuke mumbled to himself ?Its best that I prepare with uttermost care, one can never be to careful?
Placing his equipment on the workbench he quickly descided on the equipment that he should bring along himself this day.

After he had packed all of the weapons that he had descided to use today inside his bag he replaced the other weapons inside the safe locker in his wardrobe.
Casting a quick glance on his old picture from Helmajistan, the one with himself surrounded with his companions from those days sitting on top of a fallen RK-92, he grabbed his bag and headed out from his compartment to meet up with Kaname at Sengawa station.
Outside it was a great day, the sun was shining bright and clear and it werent a single cloud on the sky.
The trees were bright green, the birds were singing so much that one could almost belive that their small hearts would burst by the pure joy they must be feeling.
The people that wandered the streets and the station all seemed happy, this early in the morning the temperature hadnt risen too much so noone would be irritated for having to be standing in the overfull trains.
Kaname was standing at her normal meeting spot, waiting for Sousuke, this morning she would catch him.
She almost always reached the meeting spot before he did and every morning she tried to find him, to be the one that got up behind HIM, saying goodmorning to HIM for a change.
It was almost scary how silent and stealthy he could move when he wanted to, she hadnt been able to catch him even once yet but this morning she sure would.
There was just one possible entrance that he could come from and today she hadnt looked away from that entrance once, she just KNEW that he hadnt walked in yet and she had no intention whatsoever to let go of the entrance no matter what, Harmageddon could struck if it wanted but she would NOT fail this morning.
Filled with thoughts of that kind she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.
?Kaname, Good morning, Im glad that you waited for me to arrive however you shouldnt be standing still keeping lookout in just one direction, one must always be aware of the entire area in ones perimiter?.
?Aahhh? she screamed out her surprice, just how could he move like that?

?I cant agree with you on that Kaname, there is always good to learn as much as you can about the world that we live in, numerous missions in the jungles of Brazil has tought me that, the villages there look exactly the same so without proper knowledge of their names you would be lost in no time...if the GPS should fail that is?

?Calm down Kaname, please, there is no problem, you will pass the test just fine? Sousuke tried to be calm and resonable but it didnt have the effect on Kaname as he had thought.
?CALM DOWN? THE TEST IS TODAY YOU...YOU BIG MILITARY MORON, I HAVE TO PASS THAT TEST OR I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE EXTRA LESSONS AND I CANT DO THAT, I JUST CANT GAAHHH? She pulled out her Halisen and smacked Sousuke over the head with it.

During their conversation they had closed the distance to the school and were now walking along the wall, almost at the gates they heard a voice call out behind them.

It was Kyoko Tokiwa, Kanames best friend that had called at them and now came scurrying towards them with her precious camera in her right hand and her bag in the left.
She came to halt in front of them and snapped a picture of them before stowing her camera away and greeted them.
?Good morning Kana-chan, Sousuke?
?Good morning Kyoko? Kaname said with a happy smile, glad to see her best friend.
?Good morning? Sousuke said with his usual stern voice.
?I have some wonderful news Kana-chan? Kyoko said with a voice that sped up with excitment, ?I overheard some of the teachers last evening when I was heading home, they talked about a class trip, wouldnt it be great? The last one wasnt that good with you being kidnapped and all but this one will be perfect? Kyoko almost shivered from excitment.
?Wow, thats great...I havnt heard anything about it though wich is abit strange, after all I AM Class Rep and should be informed about these kind of events??
?According to what I heard yesterday they will announce it to us today, after the test I presume...ohh I can?t wait?
?Me neither, a class trip would be so much fun and we HAVE been very busy the last months, maybe they want to reward us or something?

They both jumped alittle at the sudden sound of Sousukes voice, they had completely forgotten everything that was going on around them.
The three teenagers took off towards the shcoolbuilding, making it into the classroom just as their teacher Eri Kagurazaka were closing the door.
?You three made it just in time? She said with a small wrinkle in her eyebrows but she let them in and then closed the door and walked back towards the desk to start the lesson.
It was English this period but Kaname didnt pay to much attention, she didnt need to since she had lived in the USA four years and spoke english without any problems.
She let her thoughts drift away and began making up fantasies about where they would go on their class trip, and what she would do...
She got an image of herself and Sousuke standing on a white beach, the sunset shining upon them...his lips getting closer and closer...the heat from his body against hers...closer and closer....

A sudden voice pulled her back from daydreaming for the second time this morning and she quickly looked up towards the blackboard.
?Im glad that you could pay attention to me Miss Chidori? the teacher said, ?Could you please translate the meaning of ?In spite of?, loud and clear please?
Having no difficulties with that whatsoever she did as she was asked to and then sat down again, trying desperatly to pay attention but couldnt, her image from recently floated back into her mind no matter how hard she tried to stop it.
When the english lesson was over they had math and classical literature for the next two periods, Kaname managed to stay focused on her lessons and when the bell finally rung, signalling that it was lunch break she went together with Sousuke to the library for some geoghraphy studying.
?Do you want to eat something before we start studying Kaname?? Sousuke asked.
?Yes we can eat fast and then get to studying?
?Affirmative, I have some dryed beef and a couple of MRE, those will prove sufficent, giving us all the energy we need?
?Aww, theres no way that I eat any of those, how can you not be affected by its taste??
?I have eaten much worse when I was young, at that time I had to eat whatever I could get my hands on, garbage, rotten fruit and such...after a while I learned not to pay attention to taste?

Sousuke said his last comment without any special thought, merely stating the fact that he thought Kaname to be a nice person, he hadnt been prepared for her reaction.
Kaname blushed crimson red and her eyes became all soft, it almost looked like she would faint any second.
In the past Sousuke had been worried about her when she went into a state like this, like the time when he had performed mouth to mouth on Mizuki and being thrown into the lake, after that Kaname had clamed down some and helped him up she had been like this for a few moments.
At that time he had been worried about her circulatory systems and suggested that she should go to a doctor and have it looked into...just to be safe, but she had been angry again and stormed off mumbling things to herself.
Wise from that incident and others like it aswell made him positive that she didnt have any circulatory problems but he just couldnt understand what the problem was, numerous other incidents had also taught him that he shouldnt make any comments on her state at this time...that would most probably lead to him being punched down with the Halisen again.
So he just sat there silently after his comment and looked upon Kaname, it took her a few moments to snap out of it and then she realised that he just sat there, looking at her...THAT almost made her blush again.
She had almost expected Sousuke to make some comment at her state but nothing came.
?My my, he really can learn something after all? she thought to herself, smiling.

She smiled happily, maybe she wasnt that awful as she had thought.
?...However you forgot about Paraguay and Uruguay, and Tanzania is not a country that lies in South America but in Africa, other than that it was correct?
Her smile vanished as fast as it had appeared.

They continiued their study session and after an hour she thought that maybe she would atleast pass the test after all.
Sousuke had been a great teacher, he put down just as much energy in teaching as he did in everything else, he gave it his all and with that anyone was bound to make some progress.
They packed their books away and made it to their fourth period, wich was history.
They took their seats and after a few minutes the teacher arrived and the lesson started, they were at the moment learning about Ancient Rome, a subject that fitted Sousuke perfect, he loved all kind of history and Rome had had the best army of its time, a fact that made sure that Sousuke would know everything about that era.
He had read the book ?The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire? numerous times aswell as many other books about the Roman Empire.
The lesson continiued, interrupted from time to time as Sousuke made comments or asked questions, wich was answered happily by the older gentleman, the teacher was thrilled by Sousukes knowledge in the history, it was so great to finally have a student that knew just as much as he did ?and maybe even more? he thought to himself before he continiued his discussion with Sousuke.
After the lesson they had a short break before the fifth period should start and Sousuke walked over to Kanames bench.
?Do you feel prepared now Kaname? He asked with something that could be taken as a worried look in his eyes.
?Yes Sousuke, i really do, thanks to you that is...i doubt that I would have passed this test without your help?
?Very well, I will return to my seat then? Sousuke said at the same time as the teacher entered the classroom.
?Good afternoon class? The teacher greeted them.
?Good afternoon sir? The class answered back in union
?As you all know we will have a test today, I hope that you all have studied enough!?
The class was silent, some of them glanced around looking somewhat nervous, this teacher was infamous for his hard tests.
?After I have handed out your tests there will be no speaking, you will all sit quiet, when you have finished you will put your papers upside down and then just sit still and wait for your friends to be finished, there is a timelimit of fourty five minutes?
With that the teacher handed out the tests and they all started scribbling.
Sousuke took it with ease, he was confident and he got to his work with determition, carefully reading each question and then without any hesitation he wrote down his answer before moving down to the next question in line.
1: Name the three largest cities within Brazil?
2: What is the capitol of Argentinas name?
3: What is the calculated area of the Rain Forest?
The test continiued in that type, having no less than 35 questions it was a hard test but Sousuke finished it well within the timelimit and he placed his test upside down on the front of his bench and then leaned back in his chair, surveying the room.
A few others had finished aswell but the bulk of the class was still scribbling, he glanced over towards Kaname and saw that she was writing still.
A sudden warmth overcame him as he looked at Kaname, it began in the center of his stomach and spread throughout his entire body, making it feel as he was on fire.
?What is this heat Im experiencing?? he thought to himself ?It feels like im hot, yet I have no signs of a fever, it always seems to come at me in the most inappropriate times also?
?I dont understand it at all, perhaps I should visit the infirmatory??
?Time is up class, pencils down? the teachers voice rang throughout the room, seizing all the scribbling and made all the students place their papers at the front of their desks.
?Miss Chidori, could you be so kind to collect all the tests and deliver them to me?
?Yes sir? Kaname rose and started collecting the tests, she then moved forward and gave them to the teacher and returned to her seat.
?Thank you Miss Chidori, now I will let your homclass teacher Mrs Kagurazaka have the word, she has an announcement to you all? with that the teacher assembled his belongings and the tests and left the room, a few moments later Mrs Kagurazaka entered and walked to the blackboard, facing the class she began to speak.
?Class 2-4, I have some good news to you, since our class trip to Okinawa were interrupted by that incident a few weeks ago the school has agreed that it would be fair to let you have a new class trip instead?
Cheers rang out from the room, everyone was shooting questions and comments.
?Wee, a new class trip?
?I wonder where we shall be going??

?Settle down, settle down and I will give you all the info that you will need? Mrs Kagurazaka tried to calm down the class, it took a few minutes before everyone was quiet and she could continiue.
?We will be leaving on Sunday and will be gone for five days, you will recive a note with the times and all the necessary information?
?But where will we be going teacher?? Kyoko couldnt be quiet anymore, she had to know now.
?We will be on a five days cruise with the ?Pacific Pearl? a large cruising vessel, traveling from Tokyo down to the south of Japan visiting a varity of the islands there and then returning? that statement made everyone go into a frenzy, most of them had never been to sea at all.
?A cruise...with a ship...WOW?
?Ohhh this will be soo great?
?I cant belive it, we will have so much fun?

?Great, ohh this will be perfect?
Sousuke was the only one that not were jumping around and cheering, immediatly after that he had got to know about the cruise he started thinking about how difficult it would be to protect Kaname on a ship like that, most likely there would be over 1000 passengers and approximatly 300 sailors on that ship, there would be no way that he could control them all.
He would have to send a PM in to Tuatha de Danaan together with his regular report and then await the responce he got, it was the best course of action, he shouldnt take out the problems in advance.
Having descided on that he got back and listened carefully to the teachers advice, she were now talking about what they should think of taking alon with them.
?We will stop at several islands and there will be possibilities for swimming, both on the islands and onboard the ship aswell, they have no less than two large swimming pools and a couple of saunas onboard.?
?Dont forget to go to the apothecary and buy sea sick pills, the ship shouldnt roll to much but ?better safe than sorry? as the old saying states?
Mrs Kagurazaka continiued and told them the time and place that they should meet at on Sunday and then she handed out a paper to each of them wich pretty much stated the same things, after that she dismissed them and left the classroom.
Immediatly the students started to talk again, noone seemed to be leaving the classroom despite the fact that there were no more lessons, everyone was to excited about this class trip to leave just yet.
Kaname thought about what to bring when Kyoko approached her.
?See I told you that it would be something special? She said witha huge grin
?Yes you did, Im so excited, this will be prefect?
?And Sousuke will be together with us...on a romantic boat...alot of sunsets? Kyoko said with a grin
?Ahh UAHAHA that military moron, he wouldnt make any difference UAHAHA? Kaname laughed in a maniacly way
?Yeah, yeah, I guess this conversation is over? Kyoko sighed and wondered when Kaname finally would admit that she indeed WAS interested in Sousuke.
One after one the students dropped off and walked home, Kaname and Sousuke were walking towards the station when Kaname asked him what he thought about this trip, since she hadnt heard him make any comment at all this far.
?It will be enjoyable to get to visit the southern islands, there are many places there that I have wanted to visit sometime, and I have haeard that the fishing there should be excellent although I have never had the opportunity to travel there myself?
?And on a large ship like that, I have never been on a boat before, unless you would consider the tourboats in New York...or the submarine...but you know what I mean? She must have sounded abit worried because Sousukes answer came immediatly.
?There is nothing to be worried about Kaname, large vessels are very safe these days, they wont sink easily and the crew and command is very high educated, in fact the only thing to be worried about would be from terrorists or such groups, ever since the incident in with the Twin Towers in New York the nightmare is that some group would take over a large ship?
?I know that they are safe, I wasnt worried either, I am just abit excited that is all? She was beginning to feel somewhat irritated, why did he always have to be so...so unromantic, couldnt he understand that she didnt worry about incidents and accidents all the time, she was worrying over HIM.
?There is nothing wrong with being cautiuos, entering new grounds should always make you aware of the situation, as I might have said before: One must always be aware of the entire area in ones perimiter?.

With that she took off in a hurry, Sousuke stood up and headed off towards his own apartment, already making up a mental list of what kind of weapons he would need to bring along.
