That was very well written! It was so sweet, yet depicted that time of hardships well. Needless to say I loved it!

I am in love with your story. I tried to write a thorough synopsis of my thoughts on your story a moment ago but it's almost 4 am here (insomnia sucks) and all I can coherently think is that I love your story. Your writing style and imaginative settings never fail to impress. Another masterpiece, kysra. You rock my historical fiction world!!

This was a very well written story, Kysra! Excellent. The wording, the setting, the descriptions throughout were so unique and beautiful.
I truly enjoyed reading it, especially your portrayal of both, Relena and Trowa. Kudos!

Wow. A lot of research and thought went into this. Impressive.
A very heartwarming fic and the lemon was a nice added touch too.
I really enjoyed this a whole hell of a lot.

Hehehe, well, I forgot to note a few things in the background and miscellaneous notes, but no one called me on it so . . . unless you really wanna know where I diverged from actual history and what I outright ignored, I'm just gonna reply to the comments posted ^_^
Thank you to everyone who read this piece. It was four - almost five years - in the making, so I was EXTREMELY relieved that it turned out half-way decent ^_~
Now, the replies:
Desertbloom - Thank you! I'm so glad that 1. you liked it and 2. thought I communicated the intended tone well ^_^
ice princess - Insomnia, I know thee well. I'm really, really happy you liked the story! And I'm honored that you were even slightly impressed! Agh, masterpiece? O.o; I don't agree but thank you so much for thinking so! *<i>snigger</i>* I'm will be working on two historical fanfics for the Yu-Gi-Oh world soon ^_~ Hopefully, they'll come out just as well.
Andrea Sinisterra - *<i>bows humbly</i>* Thank you for your very kind words! I'm always worried about characterization, so to know that my characterizations were received well, is a huge relief.
War Dove - Eh, actually the research came BEFORE the story idea due to the fact that I'm in grad school studying history, and there are many book reviews to be done. I read the book cited in the Notes (Alison Plowden's <i>Women All On Fire</i>) for review and the idea just sort of built itself ^_~ I had been struggling for a lemon idea for a LONG time, as I've owed a Trowa/Relena lemon to Angel Love since 2000! Anyway, thank you so much for reading!!!!
Cinthya_Dee - You can thank every single one of my English teachers for my writing abilities. I have absolutely nothing to do with it ^_^ I LOVE Heero, and I would NEVER EVER EVER portray him as a bastard - a jerk, maybe - but not a bastard. ACK! An extension? >-< I'll think about it. I have so many unfinished fics (<i>False Engagements</i> being one of them) and so many planned . . . We'll see. And, I realize that the world is not made up of historians, I wouldn't want to leave you guys in the dark like that ^_^ And thank you so much for reading!

!!
I didn't know this was posted here!
After reading this, I came to the conclusion that it is not Relena who fears Trowa and his "great white force,"

but it is Trowa who fears Relena and their marriage-given rights.
Trowa, did you have performance anxiety?????? Your dear little wife is only frightened for minutes--and then she would be fully trusting and unafraid. Really man this was _your_ issue with bedroom fears, not hers.
Upon further study (hahaha, listen to me!), in old-fashioned terms, no girl is ever, EVER ready for her wedding night.

Men, if only a bit, at all, are more assured. That's why titled girls were usually given to OLD and/or OLDER men - because of machismo/egos/experience/ any and all of that stuff that makes men sexually assured with ignorant, innocent, little wives......am I making sense?
(No, Double A, shut up with your pig Latin) Was that the case with Lord Trowa????? He was 18....she 15....Hm.
Moving, touching, BEAUTIFUL piece! I liked the lemon a lot--more virgin women for initiating copulation!!! HOORAH!!
Hats off
