Last Time

Warnings: Angsty. But nothing too bad.
Heero looked around. He wanted to make sure there was no one around when he left her the note. Just as silently as he had come into her office, he left. The only notable difference was the slip of white paper on her desk. He paused before exiting-exiting from all he ever knew.

I never meant to hurt you.
I never meant to make you cry.
But now I have and I'm sorry.
And it's now time for me to leave.
Last night was the first
And it was the last.
I broke your heart,
You shattered mine.
That kiss wasn't supposed to happen.
I didn't mean to go so far.
Since I did I know what's next.
I know that it's good bye
It was the last time I saw you
Staring with love in your eyes.
Now I'll never see you again.
Because of all my lies.
Last time it was the first.
Now it is the final.
So much for eternity.
So much for happiness.
Maybe some day I'll return.
But I don't think I will.
Next time will not be there.
And neither will I.
