Relena woke up to hear the news in her room when the alarm sounded. Smacking the clock she could have sworn she turned off, Relena sat up in bed and glared at the back of her bodyguard's head, who had turned the tv's volume up when she killed the clock.
"You know, Heero, If you hadn't noticed it is a Saturday morning! You could have at least let me sleep another hour."
"Couldn't. You forgot about your meeting with Senator Fredricton."
Gasping in shock at her absent headedness, Relena rushed into the bathroom while yelling from behind the door, "Why didn't you tell me!?"
When she came out, in a bathrobe and a towel over her hair, Heero replied, "You needed the extra hour. In case you hadn't noticed, it was set for 9 instead of 8."
"Huh? Why did I need an extra hour? Oh... heh, right. The delegation's meeting took longer than expected..." 'Since Maurimeia's coup, Heero had spent his time destroying old mobilesuit bases with the other pilots. Then last year he turned up and became my personal bodyguard. I hope he doesn't become a workaholic...Oh, too late.' "Till about 3 in the morning wasn't it?"
Nodding slightly, Heero walked out the door with the briefest explanation of meeting her at the car. 'Still bent on protecting me...But peace has been achieved hasn't it?' "Heero... You've been doing too much for me." She whispered as she dried her hair. Dressing in one of her many casual suits, and setting her hair in place with a final tweak, she headed out the door.
Pagan was at the door with a plate of toast and a mug of coffee. Lately, the leaders of the world and the colonies have asked for Relena's aid in almost every little thing to be sure that everyone has an equal amount of time to explain their problems. Mostly they just want the former queen's affirmation that they are doing things right. And because of this, Relena hasn't been able to get a decent breakfast or sleep.
'Speaking of which' "Heero? When's the last time you got some sleep?" Relena asked suddenly as she sat down in the car. Heero, looking a little sheepish, but hiding it almost from Relena, he responded with "Yesterday."
"How much?" She asked as she looked at him from the back of his driver's seat. Heero tried to change the subject by staying quiet but Relena was used to this and waited him out.
"...2 hours."
"2 hours!? And you complain about me missing MY sleep? When we ge to the senator's house, I am ordering you to take a nap!" Relena huffed as she sat back down.
Heero merely nodded, but he had a slight smirk on his face when he said, "Mission accepted."
