I thought that as an added bonus and as pentence for not taking so long to update, I'd give you all a sneak peak at my next story. It's going to be more a dramedy than the TWTHE and hopefuly it will lack the angst that FL:FL has. Be warned though, I won't be posting any of this until FL:FL is over.
Enjoy and tell me if it's worth it!
Once upon a time?
Yes, this is one of those stories that happened so long ago that the pacific place and time have been forgotten, lost is an ocean of memories and other stories that have come in the many centuries since these events played themselves out. In fact, this story happened so long ago that most of the actual facts have been lost?.
There was a beautiful princess?
Actually, she was more pretty than beautiful in the traditional sense. Her up-turned nose made her more cute than timeless. Her apt to curl black hair made her more girlish than womanly. Her voice was too high to be sultry, but to low to be childish. She wasn?t very graceful when she walked; in fact some called her clumsy. But there was something inside of her that made her stand out. It was like her soul gleamed in her eyes, pure and wonderful?
Who fell in love with a hansom prince?
He was a true specimen of manly beauty with his long silver hair and unearthly golden eyes. But that was just on the outside, sigh, if the truth was told he was a rude, arrogant, violent, wild, jerk. He was coarse, he was crude, and he had a bad habit of not realizing what he had until it was gone. He wasn?t a bad person, just?a little rough around the edges?
And they married?
But it really wasn?t a romantic affair. In fact, only one of them had vague memories of the joyous occasion. That?s what happens when the groom is all of four years old and the bride is a mature six months old on the wedding day. The Prince and the Princess were married for political reasons as both their fathers struggled to create alliances that would save their peaceful kingdoms from the ever looming threat of war and destruction. But their marriage worked out better than most of these arranged affairs do, and even though they had their differences they grew up close friends as children tend to do when they are isolated.
And lived happily ever after?
Happily after what? After they saved the world? After they finally figured out that they were meant for each other? After living through kidnappings, hostile take-overs and angsty love triangles? After they stopped fighting over whose castle to live in full time? Oh, they lived ever after, I suppose, but happily? Well, that?s a story for another day.
The End...
Sounds strange huh? My insperation came while I was scaning the Guinese(sp?) World Book of Records...or what ever it's called. The youngest married couple were hitched before they turned 2...not suprisingly they also had the longest lasting marrige in history...
Anyway...I just couldn't stop thinking about this and soon it turned into a fic....
