P.O.V of Heero before the accident
So far I have no way of getting home no matter which way I turn. No matter where I head I will always be going the wrong the way. The wrong journey the wrong path. Why must I always do the wrong side of the fates? Is it because I am a soldier of justice or a soldier of bloodshed? Or possibly because the one and only thing of this world that I truly want is that of my undying reaching of the heavens itself? It must be because she is of pure and innocence and I a cold piece of dirtied shall that is no longer able to commit to the beauty of such a purified creature such as herself.

Yes it must be because she is Relena Peacecraft the person who is like a goddess of hope and light. An angel of truth and purity. And I am darkness of greed and vengeance the very opposite of her. The very thing that she fights that of what I am. Why must destiny do this to me? I have done nothing that I was personally guilty for so why must I live in shame? Why must I breathe knowing I do not deserve such a luxury?

I know though that even if it?s not really possible for a machine to love I do love her. The angel in my dreams, that never seems to leave my mind or heart. I know it will never happen for a demon to be able to be with a goddess such as her. I know I will never get the chance to love her or hold her at night. Never be able to her lover and best friend, nor even be her companion who tells her everything will be alright. I know God, if he does exist, did not make me some soul mate to cherish nor made myself as one. So I shall never try to become a part of her life. She must have the same thing as well considering of her new love interest and her are in a deep trance of lovingness. He must love her just by the way he looked for her.

End of POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That morning in the Sanc Kingdom was something of a dismal place in its whole existence. It was cloudy outside almost like it knew what its princess was feeling so it became that way itself as well. It was some what of a forbidding place. The clouds isolated the entire kingdom from the life outside its chain Bern walls.
Its fortress for the eyes of only its owner, to see when it pleased. Inside one of the palace chambers laid a dispirited young blonde haired girl, the castles holder dying of sorrow. Her face was creased into the seam of the satin pillow while she laid limb of exasperated lost of her vigor ness.
Relena awoke to a stiffening headache and was in cold sweat. ?It must have been a dream.? She tried convincing herself it was only a bad dream. A nightmare which had no meaning what so ever. ?Yes that?s what it was only a bad dream.? Relena got out of bed with a quiver in her wake. Her legs were just nothing but jelly in them. She must have been extremely tired she thought. She went to get ready for work like she always did in the morning. She removed her wardrobe that she had on and turned towards the mirror to only see her reflection. She closed her eyes and smirked at herself. Boy Relena you are getting really paranoid now. Yeah that's right like you could be killed or get killed that easily. As if you were so lucky, Relena." She figured, 'die sure why not as long as I get to be with Heero my life's worthless.'
She opened her eyes but she didn?t see her reflection. No longer no instead she saw a glimpse of her dream or was it just that? A man at her balcony window, with a grudge against her. She felt not fear of him but sympathy for him. Why? Why would she feel that towards an invader, a trespasser, a stranger? As soon as it showed a memory of a dream or reality it faded away leaving a stunned Relena to only to look at her once whole form.
Relena shook and than shook her head. She had to be strong, if Heero saw her than he'd think of her as a weakling. No Relena will put on this mask on forever, she must seem like she moved past his death and she must be strong for her people.
Getting foundation, she started covering up her bruises. Though her skin revealed nautral, her neck still ached. After dressing herself, Relena headed out the door where she knew her bodyguards were just outside her door.
Relena closed her eyes, sighing, she really wanted to quit her job. Now that everyday people weren't placing everything they had on her shoulders, leaving her to give up her own dreams. She never wanted to be a polictian, she never wanted to follow in daddy's footsteps. All she wanted was to live a normal teenage life and one day become a doctor, or a business woman, or even someone famous.
But she acted so old, she felt worn out. Vacations weren't really vacations, she still had paperwork, and no matter where she went, there were people wanting her and bodyguards acting like her arms and legs.
The limo stopped and Relena went into her office as quickly as she could and settled down in her seat. The paperwork had already grew overnight so with tired eyes and a worn down soul, Relena started working once again.
*****
Heero stood there, looking up at the window where he knew Relena worked at. Would she smile at him when she saw him? That he wasn't dead all these months? Would she cry? Would she die in front of him?
Heero swallowed, knowing that it wasn't the time to think of those things. He knew she had been sad, he just didn't know how sad. He'd expect horrible, worn out and out of life. Or worse, no life at all and completly tied down and lifeless.
He walked in, making sure to mask his face from others. He wanted Relena to be the first to see him, see the emotions she had for him before anyone else.
Heero knocked and heard a soft voice come to him. Heero's breath hitched. It had been so long since he heard her speak.
Heero opened the door, his heart racing; his palms sweating, his body shaking slightly. Heero closed his eyes, bracing himself for everything. A gunshot, a scream, anything but what Relena did.
She pulled her chair back agaisnt the carpet, raising herself up to stand. He heard her pen drop and felt her walk towards him. Her footsteps were soft, with her heels digging into the carpet. He itched to touch her as she stood beside him.
"You're not real." She whispered, and Heero's eyes snapped open. His head snapped up, he turned to look at her, only to find that she had a folder in her hands and she was walking out the door.
"You're not real." She reapeated at the door , leaving him alone in her office.
The word escaped his mouth before he could think. It was like an impulse.
"Relena! Wait! I'm real!" He shouted, grabbing her hands and pressing her palms into his heart.
Heero could feel the intense stares of the people in the building on both of them but he only cared about Relena at the moment. His heart stopped when he heard her bitter laugh.
"I'm not crazy enough to beleive that the person I love who died months ago is here in front of me. I'm not crazy just like you're not real." Relena replied. Heero's heart stopped and before she could get away, he shook her, harder than he intended.
"I faked my death. Relena, you have to beleive me. I'm alive!" He cried out desperatly. She looked up at him, her eyes that beautiful color that he loved and was reminded of the sea suddenly, where she and him met. However the one thing he loved about her eyes, was the special glint of hope, love, and happiness.
But it was gone. All he saw were orbs of color, nothing more but just that aqua blue. Her fingers slipped from his strong grip and he kept staring at her even after she left.
"Heero buddy! You're alive and back with the living again!" A voice cried out. Heero didn't have to turn around to know who it was. Duo patted him on the back.
"What happened to her?" Heero asked, his voice raspy. He felt the cheerful brightness of Duo dampen.
"She's upset. She's been like this since your death, it only got worse when..." Duo suddenly paused.
"When what? What happened?" Heero asked, turning around to look at the other pilot's eyes.
"When Relena was promoted to president of ESUN." Duo replied, choosing his words carefully.
"How could that make it worse? I thought she wanted to be president and follow in her father's footsteps." Heero answered.
Duo shook his head and clamped a hand agaisnt his friend's shoulder. "You're going to have to ask her that, buddy. Only she knows the answers to her own heart. But I'm warning you, Heero. She's not the person she use to be. Just be gentle with her. Especially after last night." Duo told him.
Heero's heart stopped and he tensed. Last night...
"She was almost killed by someone. And she didn't seem to mind. It was like Relena wanted to die and I guess the killer had a grudge against her or something. But Relena wanted to die, Heero." Duo contuined.
Heero could hear Duo's voice, but his words never registered in his mind. Last night...
He blinked and stalked away from Duo without another word.
"Yo what the hell was that all about?" Duo muttered. Snorting Duo walked into his office.
Down the hall, an evil smirk curled at his lips.
First off Duo walked into his office so he wasn't in the hall. And Heero chased after Relena so whoever smirked is someone you'll just have to figure out on your own. :) :-P
Thankx. but Capser-san did Heero's part. I did the normal pov. I'm not really a fan of doing things in POV. And I only have one stroy that is done in POV.
So those who loved Heero's POV, thank Casper-san!
Rei-san did an excellent job on the suspense. She was killing me when i started reading her part.
Not bad you guys. With a little tweaking, Relena's thoughts are very plausible. I think you're doing a good job with her character as a whole. I especially like the part when she refused to believe that Heero was real and alive. I could totally see Relena saying that. It was amazing. 8)
I don't, however, agree with everything portrayed in Heero's POV.
I have done nothing that I was personally guilty for so why must I live in shame? Why must I breathe knowing I do not deserve such a luxury?
It's very pretty, but I personally don't believe Heero would ever think this. Whether or not he should feel guilty for what he did during the War, from the series and EW, we know that he does. It seems a little contradictory.
And I am darkness of greed and vengeance the very opposite of her.
I don't think Heero would think of himself as greedy. He gave no indication of such feelings in the anime.
However, the imagery used in his POV was good, regardless, with some very charged words. :D I enjoyed the word choice. Great job on that.
It's very difficult to keep Heero in character (as I've said before: I've been writing GW fanfiction for years, and I'm just now getting the hang of his character. It takes time and a lot of observation and practice).
Who was smirking? You need to post the next part soon so that I can find out who this other individual is that tried to kill her.
And why did Heero keep repeating "last night" in his mind? I can feel something psychologically freaky going on here... and I'm liking it.
8)
LOL. Well we weren't planning on having ghosts appear in the story. But me and Casper-san never really planend the entire story detailedly, we only made the outline of it all.
:wink: I'm glad everyone likes it and are hanging in suspense. And I also love the way you try to figure out who the dark stranger is! :salute: Thankx for reading and reviewing! Stay in tune!
