Ok, I have a few questions about the new format. I just want to familiarize with the new functions on the new system. First, what is the purpose of the friend and ignore options now included in the menu. Secondly, what are the small colored circles next to our names signify. Lastly are there any other thinks that have been added that I haven't seen yet.

Well, after all of this, I would like to say, Blackrose, how inpressed I am with all of the work that you have done to make this web site always in the best shape that you can make it for us.

I don't know if this is correct, but it looks like the little circles beside our names indicate if we are online or not. Damn cool function, if you ask me. =D Wow-- the profile bit looks amazing, btw!

The small, colored circles will turn green if the user is currently logged in to the site.

The friend list will enable you to show more personal information to only those you deem "friends". Here is a list of features of the modification I, rather painstakingly (4 hours and counting ARGH!) have installed:

Friend and ignore list,

user-customizable member list,

list of the subscribed topics,

online/offline/hidden indicator,

summer time (DST) management (user and admin),

user groups display,

gender (based on gender mod by Niels Chr < ncr@db9.dk >),

gender on rank titles,

birthday date, anniversary whish,

signature preview/editor,

anti-robotic registration, disabling via ACP,

realname, phone/fax numbers,

user information display management by the user and restriction by the admin,

hide picture (avatar, signature, pic in post),

admin management from standard user link,

color for mods, admin and standard user set by the CSS,

private messages management integrated.

I'm still making buttons *kicks friend button* and trying to get the template modified for the new forum skin. I also need a new logo.

I have enabled the ability to choose which skin (template) people can view the board with. You have DefaultBlack, Solaris, and SubSilver to choose from. SubSilver and Solaris are still under construction. The portal for DefaultBlack is still under construction (as is the FRIEND button). I personally am not happy with the profile control panel on the DefaultBlack template, so if I can make it better, I will.

Back to the Friend and Ignore list. I know you can ignore new posts made by those on your Ignore list. It might pay special attention and/or bookmark new posts made by people on your friends list. I haven't tried it out, yet, since I'm still installing, and documentation on this mod was next to nil (the above list is all they have. Supposedly, if you input your birthdate into the system, on your birthday, the board will launch an alert letting us know .

When I've gotten through the entire process and tested everything, if you have some specific questions, I'd be happy to tell you what I know and find out anything I don't.

And thanks for the words of support. I'm doing my best. I still want to try out the content management system, but that, I imagine, will be a huge undertaking. And since I'm not sure how it will work, I'll probably test it with a backup of the database running on a different site to see how it works and whatnot before I attempt to install it to this site. I think my first priority is to make sure all the templates have all the buttons they need and all the functions work in every template.

And if Adaon is still around and would like to create a new logo for the SubSilver and Solaris templates, I'd be very grateful.

Open you're story in paint , select the entire story and copy it.
Then you can paste it in a message atleast that's what I do
