Human Touch
"Can i find the words to tell you,
how i live between the walls of steel and stone,
how i close my eyes to find some kind of rapture,
in a world where you can feel so all alone."
Heero gazed at her. He was sitting in his cockpit staring at
the screen where a young girl was delivering a speech. "Relena, why do
you make me feel this way?" Aggravated he slammed his hand on the
control pannel and the Zero system started to activate.
"Alright Zero, show me the answer to my question."
"Inside I'm full of light and laughter,
there's a flame that burns in me,
need a way to set it free."
Duo stared out of the window of his and Hilde's apartment in
the colony. For the past couple of days, nightmares had invaded his
dreams. Hilde had come everytime and asked what was wrong, but he just
smiled and told her it was nothing. He had pain, but the pain was from
happy memories that turned bad quickly. Memories of the Maxwell church
and it's massacre. And of Solo and the gang.
He was also troubled because everything he loved was quickly
destroyed, and now he was in love with Hilde. But he never told her
any of that. He was afraid of rejection and he was afraid of being the
reason of her death. Unknownst to Duo, he was also afraid of her love.
"When you find love in your heart,
a human touch,
you can believe from the start.
believe from the start,
dreams they come true,
all comes to you, all at once,
if you believe in human touch."
The zero system showed Heero all of his memories of Relena. The
day on the beach, the party, and on Libra. Each one showed her being
strong and confident. Each one showed the love in her eyes. His eyes
held nothing in the memories though. But for some reason, he never
killed her each time he had the chance.
"I see the wanting in your eyes,
and i wonder will i always think of you,
do we simply find ourselves awakening,
as angels touch the heart strings of our souls,
we can find a way to bring demand,
take my hand and come with me,
to a place where we are free."
Each time he saw her eyes, he saw her wanting. Her need for his
love. Towards the most recent memories, he saw it in his eyes also, and
he understood. "So, Zero, you are telling me that I love her." A new
light came to his eyes, and he made a decision. Starting up the suit,
he blasted off to the Sank Kingdom.

helps you to heal from all the rest,

Duo looked on as Hilde walked down the street with a load of
grocery bags. He met her outside and helped her carry them in. She
could see the confusion in his eyes.
"Duo, dreams are only your emotions acting out. What is real,
is trust, and love." He nodded and slowly a tear came to his eye.
"Tell me that your love will live forever,
take your hand and touch my face,
for the warmth of your sweet embrace."
"Hilde do you love me," he asked, his voice quivering.
"Oh, Duo," she replied, and touched his cheek. "I have always
loved you."
"When you find love in your heart,

nothing can tear it apart,
not man or steel,
nothing is real except for love,
if you believe in human touch."
Relena was sitting on her porch staring out to the moonlit sky
when a dark figure jumped down from the roof. Surprised she turned
around and prepared to run.
"Wait!"
"Heero," she asked. He walked forward and she could see that
it was him. "What's wrong Heero?"
"Nothing is wrong, I just want to ask you something."
"What?"
"Do you love me, or have I been imagining it." He got a worried
look on his face for a fleeting moment, but then it dissapeared.
"Yes, Heero, I have always loved you. I don't care if anyone
doesn't approve. Your Gundam and the people who hate you will never
keep me from loving you." She replied tears coming to her eyes.
"Relena, I love you."
"Hilde, I love you."
Two different boys, two different girls, all who were finally
happy.
"If you believe in human touch."
