My boyf played it and loved it. Oddly enough he's a sap for love stories... weird he doesn't incorporate that in our relationship!! Lol jk

All I got from him is that he thought it was the best love story since FF8 (if you played 8 and fell in love with the romance) *coughsquallrinoacoughyunatiduscough* I have yet to play it, but all I know is, it's romantic.

I have PWNT X-2. Actually, there are three different endings. I've gotten the first two.

*SPOILER*

If you don't meet all the requirements, you get the "normal" ending. Basically, it sucks, because Tidus doesn't come back-- it's just Gippal, Nooj, and Baralai addressing the crowd in the Luca Blitzball stadium, and then it shows Yuna, Rikku, and Paine on the deck of the Celsius.

The good ending, the one I have, you have to meet a few requirements, and Tidus returns. There's this whole reuniting scene (if you go to gamefaqs.com, I think there is a translation that explains the whole scene) 'Tis waffy.

For the perfect ending, you have to get 100% story completion. I'm still working on that. ^_^;

i love this game ^^ such a wonderful story ^^ well, since i've finished several times...
there are several endings... but i'm guessing that you want the 'perfect ending' so here:
***SPOILERS***
after defeating vegnagun and shuyin, thus reuniting shuyin with lenne, you go to the farplane glen and the fayth (from bevelle) comes up to you...
fayth: "thanks" / yuna: "you're very welcome" / fayth: "you heard it didn't you" (ref. the whistle) "you want to see him again?" / yuna: "him?" / fayth: "yes, you want to walk together again?" / you chose "yes!" / fayth: "i can't promise anything, but we'll do what we can"
...fayth fades away and yuna walks off
after gippal, nooj, and baralai give their speech... we seen yuna, rikku, and paine on the celcius deck...
after the credits... (here's where the 'perfect' ending starts ^^)
(as seen in ffx - after the credits) tidus is under water... he streches and swims up. he sees besaid and he whistles. after a while he goes starts to swim for shore. as he approaches shore (he's walking now), he hears the celcius... it lands close to him but before it lands completely, yuna jumps off and runs to him. hugging him...
yuna: "are you real?" / tidus: "i think so" "do i pass?" / yuna: (nods) you're back" / tidus: "i am back" / yuna: "you're home" "yes, home"
... rikku and paine show up from where yuna jumped off, smiling ^^...
wakka: "hey, get a room you two!" - apparently, everyone in besaid is watching their little reunion (they were making out ^^) everyone cheers. / wakka: "whassup?" / tidus: "you asked you to watch wakka?" (scene shows lulu and vidina)/ rikku: (still from the airship) "hiya!"
... tidus grabs yuna's hand and (leading) run towards the crowd. yuna speeds up...
tidus: "you know you've changed" / yuna: "well, you've missed a few things" / tidus: "i wanna hear everything!" / yuna: "it all began when i saw this sphere of you"
(scene zooms past the celcius then fades out) wait!! not done yet! (scene reopens to zanarkand ruins - exact spot and setting where ffx started - sun's setting)
tidus: "i got a theory" "i think the fayth gathered up my thoughts and put 'em together to bring me back." "maybe. something like that" "or maybe... i'm still a dream" (he looks down at his hands) / yuna: "wait! so you'll dissapear?" / tidus: "cherish me, yuna. and I'll cherish you." "all right? we gotta stay together. that's what we have to do." / yuna: (runs up and hugs tidus from behind) "is that what the fayth told you?" / tidus: "nah. but I like it."
... they begin laughing.... yuna pushes tidus into the water ^^
tidus: "that's not cherishing!" / yuna: you didn't disappear" (she smiles)
... scene fades out... tada!!! the end! ^^

If you're having trouble beating it--and this is breaking a time-honoured code that I try to stick to--you can look up a walkthrough on the internet, or buy one from BradyGames or PrimaGames for fifteen bucks or so. I know that most of the guides nowadays of 100% completion guides and tell you everything you need to do to get the perfect ending--try gamefaqs.com.

Oh, and my time-honoured gamer's code is to at least play a game through once without using any cheats or walkthroughs. It can be hard sometimes. I glanced at those guides after I got the first ending, though.

I loved that game! But I tought X was such a better storyline, and a much better love story. It's my favorite RPG.
The first time thru I only got about 70%. Looking at the book now (Brady Games) I really don't think it can be done without a guide, unless you put in about 100 hours. I don't know about you, but I really don't have that kind of time. There are things like pushing a button the exact moment some mokies jump together to get a nessary item to get the percentage points.
I was pass disapointed in how easy Vegnagun was. There was all this build up and then nothing! There was no feeling of acomplishment. I guess it'll be made up for whe I get all the percentage. I can't wait!
