03/28/06 This story is not dead. Really, really not dead even if it has been a year since I've updated. (And I have tons of really good excuses which no one really wants to hear about involving various major medical problems experienced by my siblings and myself. It's all chronicled on my livejournal if you're curious, however.) I am trying my best to have a chapter ready before April gets here, but this is my final semester of undergrad and life is unbelievably hectic.

See, this is what happens when I get nostalgic and watch old episodes of the Lady Lovelylocks cartoon. A prince who is turned into a dog except for the night of the full moon and who loves and protects a girl who realizes he's a special dog but just doesn't realize how special he really is? ZOMG, that could so be Inuyasha! In a completely different universe, of course.

A.N. In the time since I began this fic Inuyasha has debuted on the Cartoon Network and the fanbase has grown exponentially. At the time Uri-Mistress and I were the only authors on FFN with Inuyasha as a dog fics (to my knowledge), and we posted within a day or so of one another in a textbook display of brilliant minds thinking alike. And she beat me, drat her! I remember wondering at the time why no one had written such a fic before since it was such an obvious plot bunny. That is no longer the case now due to IY?s rapid increase in popularity. I know of several other dog-IY fics now in existence, but in the interests of creative originality and integrity I refuse to read them. Hopefully I?ve managed to keep an original spin on the concept in my work. I?ve tried to stay close to the feel of the original series in both its darkness and its humor.
