Warnings: Lemon, but the Heero and Relena's part might come later. First, I need to know if I am capable of it!

There's No Such Word as Won't
Chapter 5

As Duo had predicted, Heero arrived at his apartment on crutches, with which he swore he would beat Duo over the head with. The braided pilot had gotten on his nerves one time too many. And he would pay. No one messed with the Perfect Soldier. He fumbled for his keys awkwardly.

He sincerely hoped none of them would continue the stupid betting game, since if Relena found out, she would kill them and deny him even more. But he wasn't going to tell her, was he?

'I told you to tell her,' said a disembodied voice in his head. 'She wasn't very happy, mind you.'

He stopped abruptly. "Relena?" he spoke into the darkness. It was late, perhaps around eleven, as he stood there on his front door, listening intently.

The voice giggled, and he recognized it as Relena's. Yes, the chibi. He unlocked the door and ignored the voice as it nagged inside his head. 'Hey, I told you she wasn't happy.'

"Neither am I," he grumped back, wearily stumbling into his room and pulling back the covers.

'Then why don't you tell her?' Relena persisted. He slid into bed, not bothering to undress. He never did, anyway. What a suprising thought.

'And I thought that you came back to life just because you wanted to tell her.'

"You're wrong, then."

'No, I'm not wrong. I'm in your head. All I can see are pictures of Relena...oh, my, is that Relena naked?'

He sat up, ignoring the pain that shot through his abdomen. "Look, I don't know why you're here, but I want you to leave NOW."

He could visibly hear her pout. 'I didn't know you stumbled into the bathroom at half past two in the morning and finding Relena in the bathtub. I didn't know that you were even half-awake by then, and neither did I know you kept the picture in your head all the time.'

He gritted his teeth. Sleeping with a chibi going on inside your head was practically impossible. He flung off the sheets and ground out, "Relena, please get out of my head."

'Why should I?' she teased. 'You need to tell her anyway. I won't go away if you don't. Besides, I know you want to. And...'

"OKAY, FINE!!!" he yelled at the wall. "But I'm not going to tell her today! I'm just recovering from a bullet wound, for heaven's sake! Just leave me along for one night."

A picture forced its way into his head unwillingly. It was the chibi, giggling mischievously. She was still wearing the black jacket, but had rolled up the sleeves to her elbows. 'Don't worry, I'll leave. Relena will miss me. But don't worry, I'll come back. I need to...satisfy your and Relena's needs." She paused. "Interesting job, ain't it?"

She giggled again. 'Bye. Till we meet again.'

"I hope that's somewhere in the far, distant future," he muttered into his pillow.

'What?'

"Nothing."

'Okay.' Then, with a whoosh, she was gone. And the doorbell rang.

*

Lucrezia Noin kept her finger on the buzzer, hoping that Heero was still awake. If he wasn't, then hell, she would wake him up. She needed to talk to someone desperately, and here she was, at Heero Yuy's front door for a little cosy 'chat'. As if he would do anything of the sort, she thought dryly. Sometimes, talking to Heero Yuy was just like talking to an inanimate object. Poor Relena.

But she had other problems. Relena was one of them: a topic she wanted to discuss the most with Heero.

The front door slid open an inch, and a wary Prussian blue eye peeked out. She raised her hand and smiled.

He opened it wider, greeting her with a cold stare. "It's snowing?"

She started, not expecting that question from him. She had expected something among the lines of: 'What the HELL are you doing here?' Hmm... Maybe the Perfect Soldier was in a good mood. "I hear you've been shot," she said, nodding at his stomach.

"Yeah." He paused. "Is it snowing?"

"Yeah."

"Hn." He opened the door further and invited her in. She muttered a thank you in his direction and went inside, sitting in his living room. The room was practically spotless, but he had made the effort of stringing a few lights here and there, and even made a shopping list of gifts. Maybe Christmas was making him paranoid, she decided. It wasn't likely Heero Yuy would do something like this.

He leaned against the entrance to the living room, studying her expectantly. She cleared her throat, unsure of where to begin. "Relena..."

"Let me get you a cup of coffee." Without another word, he disappeared into the kitchen.

She gazed at the spot where he had been before, speechless. It was like he didn't want to talk about Relena. Well, maybe he didn't. She couldn't blame him. Whenever she had talked to Relena, she had blatantly avoided the subject of Heero Yuy, and by the looks of it, she was giving him a hard time.

Heero returned with the coffee, scowling darkly, and she wondered faintly if something was annoying him. She took a sip of the coffee, and her eyes widened. Its bitter taste spread in her mouth. "What kind of coffee is this?" she spluttered, setting it down.

He smirked.

"It tastes...it tastes like you've added salt to it!" she exclaimed. His smirk grew wider. Something was plainly irking him. Heero Yuy did not smirk, not unnecessarily. Behind his smirk, she could sense faint annoyance at something that was cetainly not her. As if he was taking out his anger on her.

"Okay." She folded her arms across her chest and glared a mini death glare across the room, which he abruptly returned, with much more force and experience. She flinched, then straightened. "What the hell is irritating you?" she demanded.

His glare and smirk faded, but he remained upright, standing, but his guard was up, and she knew it. "How did you know?"

"I know things," she said simply. "Now, tell me, is it Relena?"

His mask fell to the floor, shattered. His eyes gave out raw pain and need. Suddenly, Noin felt suddenly very sorry for this boy. This boy, who had regained his soul only when he turned fifteen because of a woman, and a woman he couldn't have.

His shoulders sagged. "Yes."

"Relena..." Noin paused. "Didn't I hear from Milliardo that he was watching Duo and Relena from now on? He made it sound like they were having some relationship." She glanced at him worriedly. "Aren't you concerned about that?"

He only shook his head. He knew something that she didn't. He knew what was the reason. She didn't press him further.

"I only came, Heero," she said gently, "because we both need to talk. Woman to man."

His eyes snapped back to her face, regaining the cold stare in the blue orbs. She felt as if she was being swallowed into the sea as she gazed back, down into the icy depths...

She cleared her throat. "I, as a woman, can help you regain Relena. I heard from Duo how you exploded in the hospital. Sounds like you were mad at all of them for trying to help you put you and Relena together. And I'm telling you, Heero, that's not bad."

"I know it isn't," he said, so quietly she almost couldn't hear him. "I put them up to it. The other four didn't go for it, and then they made a bet. That was why I was angry. They didn't do anything to help us."

"Relena doesn't need helping," Noin said, sipping her bitter coffee cautiously. "You need all the help you can get, Heero. First of all, Relena already knows she loves you, and wants to tell you, and can, but she needs response, Heero."

"You," she said, nailing him with a piercing stare, "know you love her, want to tell her, but can't, or won't, or whatever. You don't even respond, so how in the world will she know you even like her?"

"I don't know," he answered meekly.

"And Duo, of all people, might just be the right person to help you, Heero. Wufei...is not exactly so helpful. Probably his way of wooing a woman is to take her for a test ride in the Wing Zero."

"How overtly romantic."

Noin chuckled. "And Trowa and Quatre might not have much time in the woman area...not in the romantic sense," she said, after an afterthought. She remembered that Quatre had literally thousands of sisters, and Trowa himself had an overprotective sister. "But Duo, Heero, think about it. He has Hilde and loves her deeply. Even though he might be comical, he still cares."

"I'm not going to ask help from Duo," Heero stated firmly. "It's way too late for that."

She raised an eyebrow. "Don't be such a stubborn asshole, Yuy. I know you need the help."

"I am not a stubborn asshole and I don't need help."

"Prove it."

"What, show you my bum?"

Noin turned a fiery shade of red and spluttered. "What? Excuse me?" Heero smirked.

"I don't need help," he repeated. "And I am not a stubborn asshole. Noin, you are the most tiring woman I've ever met. If you keep on going at me like that about Relena, just leave."

She took a deep breath. She could see this was not going to be easy. "Tiring besides Relena, you mean?" she queried, putting an innocent expression on her face. "It must be hard for you to keep track of her, huh, Yuy?"

He was on his guard. "Excuse me?" he asked, his expression made of ice.

"You must not have heard that Relena is dating now."

"Exclusively?" She knew that look. It was murderous, and it was directed straight at her. She almost fainted.

"No, not exclusively, as far as I know. A couple of guys, one named Chris Walker and the other I don't remember. Both politicians, both accepted by Zechs," she added.

"You mean Zechs doesn't approve of me?" He leaned forward.

"Oh, I don't know. He never brings the subject up. But so far, he's rejected any person who was a soldier. Look at Duo."

"He has Hilde."

"Yeah, Zechs knows that. Apparently, he doesn't care for men who cheat on their girlfriends. If Duo made it look that way, I don't know, maybe asking about Relena and stuff, then Zechs will disapprove, even if Hilde and Duo weren't...attached. He just doesn't like it that even if Relena settles down, the man will cheat on her. He thinks it's likely the man will cheat if he has cheated in the past."

He blinked. The talk was confusing him. Good.

"So," she rambled, trying to confuse him even more, "if Duo cheated on Hilde, then he was also likely to cheat on Relena..."

"He and Relena are not involved," Heero grinded out between clenched teeth. "Now tell me about the...dates."

She sighed. It wasn't easy to confuse this guy. Much less a guy who had an IQ of three hundred thousand...and never wore glasses. She giggled silently, imagining Heero with glasses. He would still look quite cute, but then again, he would look just a teensy bit geeky.

"Chris Walker is the latest," she said. She wasn't telling a lie. She had seen Relena with the politician before, even though the honey-blond had looked quite bored. In fact, she was yawning as Walker babbled on, with a sound and everything, and still the guy didn't desert her. Noin would have liked to take a punch to the stupid guy for taking, um, an interest in Relena, but it wasn't her duty. So she watched them shrewdly. Once or twice, Chris had made a move, and Relena just slapped him away.

But he continued, bringing endless flowers. And Noin threw them away before they even had a chance to reach Relena's secretary. Luckily, it was easy, for she was the one he trusted to deliver the flowers. So, she wasn't fibbing. Well, not exactly. But she hadn't said that Relena liked the guy, did she? If she did, it would be a lie. But she didn't.

She told Heero all. Heero listened with something, a fire, slowly igniting in his eyes, and after the quite long story, Noin was sure he was as mad a raging bull slapped by a pair of smelly red underwear on the nose. And boy, it wasn't as pretty, nor as safe.

"Okay," he said quietly, his voice icy, his look piercing. "You can go." He turned. "Noin, you are dismissed. Your offer is rejected, but I'm still going to find a way to get Walker out of her life. Then maybe something will happen."

She slipped on her coat and stepped out into the hallway. She turned and said, "Good luck, Heero."

"Hn." The door clicked shut.

*

Heero slumped against the wall, the taunting voice in his mind echoing, "You know, she wasn't all that happy."

*

Duo massaged his aching temples and glanced at the watch. Five minutes to lunch, and he had breathed in deeply when the delicious aroma of baking cookies floated in from the kitchen, making his mouth water.

Kelly must have been cooking again.

He glanced over at Trowa, who was sitting quietly, watching the clock with one visible green eye. He had been quiet ever since Heero had talked them out - something that wasn't hard to do when you were Trowa Barton - and had barely spoken a word.

Duo hated the silence, but for once, he did not feel like filling it. His own voice sounded like nails against a blackboard to his ears. He didn't like being chewed out by his best friend. Nor did he like hurting Heero's feelings...if he had any, that is. He sighed quietly. He was not going to give up just like that. Duo finished whatever he started.

And this particular subject he wanted to finish the most. There was no stopping him. He nodded his head slightly in satisfaction, but Trowa caught the tiny nod. "You're going to continue with the plan?" he asked softly, tapping his long slender fingers on the polished wood of his desk.

Duo stared at his hands. Blistered and callused with years of Gundam piloting and work. "We can't leave him hanging like that, man!" he burst out. "I mean, that is totally cruel. You heard him. He won't tell Relena anything! He needs help!"

"Exactly, Duo," someone said dryly from the door. It was Noin. She had slipped in without anyone noticing. Trowa settled back in his comfortable desk chair, folded a slim leg over the other, and put his fingers together, regarding Noin thoughtfully. Duo exhaustedly nodded at the newcomer.

"Been talking to him last night," Noin said, picking up a pencil and twirling it around, between her fingers. It threaded in and out skillfully. "He said that he's been having trouble with Relena. In my opinion, he needs a drill to put a hole through that thick skull of his. No offense, of course, but for all his intelligence he can't figure out how to say I love you."

"Of course he can," Duo yawned. Lunch lay forgotten at the back of his mind. More important things were at hand currently. He needed to pay attention.

Noin frowned at him. "Duo, when you say I love you, you just don't bump into the person, and then say I love you, and then hurry off!"

"What, then he says it in the middle of having sex?" Duo snickered. He thought he saw the hint of a faint blush in Trowa's cheeks, but it was hard to tell.

"I don't know," Noin mused. "Maybe a kiss would be nice. But you can't just go into sex."

"Why not? I mean, they loved each other for more than three years or something like that, I can't remember, why not just go...you know?"

"Because both Heero and Relena are sensitive and care for the other. None of them will do something to hurt the other. First they have to know they're ready." Noin paused. "And you, Duo, probably have no experience in that area."

He grinned sheepishly. "Well, Hilde and I were always adventurous."

A crunching sound echoed from the corner. Trowa was chewing slowly on a cucumber. They looked over at him. "Any contributions, Tro-man?" Duo asked.

Trowa stood up and stretched. "I have no wish to get mixed up in all this." He regarded them thoughtfully. "But I have several ideas that just might work."

Duo grabbed a pencil and paper. "Let's get to work, then!"

*

Relena felt an obvious sense of loss only a few minutes before. As if she were empty. But she ignored it. She was more concerned for Heero. She wondered how he was doing. The doctors had said he had critical injuries and wouldn't be able to get up for three days.

She smiled to herself as she stared at her laptop. They had underestimated Heero Yuy. The perfect soldier, whatever injuries he might have, could get up earlier than they could predict.

But she was still angry at herself. Why was she showing such concern for the Perfect Soldier when he certainly wasn't concerned for her? Frustrated, she wheeled her desk chair to a file cabinet and pulled out a file, slapping it on her desk. She cared for him, certainly that was no question, but the real question was if he cared for her.

If he did, she thought, then he would certainly have showed it in some way.

'He protected you,' a snide voice told her.

Opening the folder, she angrily banged a few keys on the keyboard. Sure, he protected her, but how could she know if it was more than just a protective cover for the Vice Foreign Minister? Probably it wasn't. But she had hoped. And the hope was gone. Just like that. He had departed a few hours after waking, Duo had informed her, without a single word.

'But,' Duo had said, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, 'he's left a message for you. He wants you to be alright.'

Duo had been hinting at something, but at the time, Relena was distracted, too concerned, and had brushed off the remark. Now she thought about it, Duo was sounding like he was up to something.

Trowa and Quatre's warnings echoed in her mind.

She ran a hand through her bangs. If Duo was trying to play cupid before Heero was shot, then he would surely stop right now when his best friend was shot. But. There was always a but. Duo was stubborn, perhaps even more than Heero. She knew a bullet through Heero's abdomen surely wouldn't stop him.

She was the only one who could stop them...if she was sure she didn't want Heero and her to be together.

*

Wufei angrily slammed into his apartment and stopped as Sally glanced up from the sofa. "What are you doing here?" he demanded.

"Duh," she answered calmly. "I rented a room, remember, Wufie?"

Angry at the mispronunciation of his name, he flung his jacket at the coat stand that was standing innocently in the corner, causing it to clatter to the floor. He didn't care. He was too mad.

"Did something happen with Heero?" she questioned, guessing his thoughts. She was poring over a bunch of photograph albums. Wufei released his hair from his tight ponytail and let his fingers run through it, soothing his scalp.

"Yeah," he muttered. "Something about the bet."

She raised an eyebrow, setting down the albums. "Is the bet off?"

"As far as he's concerned, it's off." He sat down next to her and took a sip out of the half-empty coffee mug on the table. "But we're not going to give up."

She smiled at him. "Of course not, Wufei," she said gently. "But are you still against the two of them going together?"

He looked up sharply. "I never said I was against. I just made a bet, onna."

"So, are you going to be on my side now?" she asked him. "After all, I did do you a favor earlier," she added thoughtfully. He turned red, remembering the kiss. She grinned at him, and he felt his insides twist. Amazingly, a smile could do something like that to his stomach, especially when it was Sally Po's smile. Sweet revenge.

"Favors only deserve to be returned," he murmured. He reached out with a finger and traced the outline of her lips. Then he kissed her.

Sally's eyes opened wide as she looked at him. He was kissing her. Slowly, her eyes slid shut, and she wrapped her fingers around his neck and pulled him in deeper. His tongue pressed against her lips, and she opened them willingly, letting his tongue trace the inside of her mouth. Then she fought back, her tongue pressing against his in a heated duel.

Then he broke away, his black eyes staring into hers, burning. "That wasn't supposed to happen," he said hoarsely. But then he smiled. "I'm not complaining."

"Shut up." She pulled him towards her again, her lips at his neck. He whimpered with pleasure as she nipped the sensitive skin below his ear, and pressed her back down on the couch, his tongue tracing the outline of her ear. He breathed in her heady scent, and was interrupted by a small whisper. "Wufei." He looked down. Sally looked puzzled. "Your gun is poking into my leg."

"That's not my gun."

"O-oh..." He drowned out her next words with another kiss and buried a hand in her hair, twisting it, massaging the scalp. His other hand slid lower down to her breasts, fondling the hardened nipples beneath the green uniform cloth. They hardened even more with his ministrations. He lowered his mouth to her neck.

"W-wufei!" she gasped. His hand untwisted from her hair and slid down to her jacket, unbuttoning it, and when it was half unbuttoned, he slid his mouth even lower, down to the valley between her breasts. Impatiently, he traced his tongue up one side, and then the other. She gasped and buried her hand in his long thick hair.

Pushing off the jacket and pleased to find she was not wearing any underwear, he took a sweet nipple into his mouth, suckling strongly.

She jerked beneath him with the pleasure as he rolled his tongue around her nipple. His head was in the clouds, and he was floating. His erection throbbed with the need. "Sally, we're going to finish half undressed like this," he whispered, taking his mouth from her breasts.

She whimpered with the loss, and then said roughly, "Well, hurry up." She quickly pushed her jacket fully off her shoulders and stripped down to a pair of underwear. He took off his shirt, his eyes never leaving her body. She was beautiful. Clad only in pants, he pulled her to him and lowered his mouth to her breasts again, his hands busy with her sides, slowly rubbing up and down.

She lowered her hand to pleasure his erection, grasping his shaft through the cloth and squeezing gently, exchanging pleasure for pleasure and torture for torture. She bent forward and flicked a tongue on his hardened nipples, tasting Wufei and salt. It was delicious. She moaned. "Come on, Wufei."

In response, he wrapped his arms around her waist and slammed her against the wall, his erection now pushing painfully against the cloth of her underwear. He tugged off the white cloth and tossed it away, leaving only two barriers of cloth: his boxers...and his pants.

She fumbled with his belt, with him watching through heavy-lidded eyes, before stepping out of them and kicking them away. He stripped off his boxers and took a step toward her, pushing her against the wall. She wrapped her arms around his neck and slipped her slim legs around his waist, the tip of his shaft at her entrance. His hands grasped her buttocks to support her, her back against the wall.

He looked at her uncertainly. "First time?" he asked hoarsely.

She shook her head. "No." Then, with a final push, she took his shaft into her. He began a rhythm, Sally's hips arching up to him. "Wufei, hard!" she cried.

In reply, he slammed into her time and time again, until she was practically screaming with the pleasure. Her hands tugged at his hair, his hands desperately pressing her buttocks upward into his shaft. His entrance had been easy and slick, since Sally was already wet, and GOD, it felt good! He gritted his teeth and moved his shaft inside her, pleasuring her slowly.

"HARDER!"

He moved faster and faster, feeling the edge coming nearer and nearer. He was going to fly, and she was coming with him. Her lips opened, sweat trickled down her forehead, her eyes closed. He was filling Sally, satisfying her, and suddenly, he came, Sally only a second behind. She screamed as the fire of her orgasm ripped through her, and Wufei moaned, emptying himself into her. They were flying.

Their eyes closed in unison, and when they opened them, they stared into each other's eyes. "That felt good," she said hoarsely. She kissed him on the lips, tasting salt again. "What a favor."

"At least I returned it, hm?" he murmured against her neck.

"Oh, yes. Maybe we could do this more often."

"I agree."

He sat her on the couch, removing his shaft from her. His eyes burned into hers. "Sally Po." His voice rang throughout the apartment, only minutes before filled with the sounds of their lovemaking. "Wo ai ni, Sally Po."

"Wo ai ni, Wufei Chang." She grinned, looking exhausted. "But don't forget, we still have a bet."

"I'm on your side."

"Good." Then she leaned over and took him into her mouth. The game was still on, but it seemed that Duo was getting more people on his side. Not to mention that it was getting more and more interesting by the day. Wufei cried out, and the lips around his shaft smiled. Love could make anything possible.

Nice, very nice lomon sequence, espically for a first time. Although I wouldn't figure Sally and WuFei as the ones most likely to experience the "That's not my gun" senario. The way things were of late in your story I would've thought it would've been Duo and Hilde to run into that situation. But hey, it worked well anyway.
"Wo ai ni, Sally Po."
I'm not familiiar with that one. I can guess that it is some term of endearment, but what exactly does it mean?

Whoops! Forgot to put a translation! Ok, it is not endearment, exactly, but in Chinese, it's I love you. Argh, my brain is frazzled! Why did it have to be 5xS who says I love you? Oh, well. Stories run there own way, after all.

Ooh... Go Wufei and Sally!! :D Maybe Heero and Relena will get the same amount of action in the future, ne??

Great job, can't wait to see more!!!
