Disclaimer: I do not own the GW character, I can only lay claim to the the organization of these words.
Title: Forlorn
Word Count: 105
Rating: G
Pairings: 1xR
*
Cold and forgotten--- I lay empty. A shadow of memory of the warmth that once occupied my entire being.
Did she no longer care for me? Or had I appeared shabbier with age--- already the years wearing me thin from the day you first found me.
I do not know--- I could not, for I watch as your hands are wrapped within another?s, his hands warming your soft skin. Maybe I was not meant to comprehend--- for I was made with one simple purpose.
And yet--- I lay empty, envying what I had lost. Awaiting the day when you would remember me, your ever-faithful gloves.
*
Authors Note: Who ever said inanimate objects didn't have feelings was wrong! I know for a fact that my computer has the mind of a mischievious demon who likes to misbehave whenever possible. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my little drabble and please do review!
