Thought I'd let peeps know that this week the english version of the 1st manga is being released. I'm hoping to acquire my copy tomorrow if the places I'm going to will have it ready.

I don't have the money for it but I swear to God I'm going to buy it this week!
I'll have to cross it off my Christmas Wish List I just sent my family but I'll be damned if I have to wait 22 more days until I can get my hands on volume one. Besides I know my family will pass up the while Anime/Manga section of my list as it is
*grumble*
But do tell how it is if you get to it first Beck!

I HATE, repeat HATE MY TOWN!!!!!!!!!!! God, this stupid, backward place SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
*heaves a sigh* I feel a little better now. Borders says that Hellsing isn't published yet, and wont be until the 17, Waldens says that they won't get it for two to three weeks, Suncoast has no idea what I am talking about, and the one comic shop where I could possiibly find it is closed. For the week.
Enjoy it while the rest of us (probably only me) suffer Beck!!!
I have them all in Japanese, but that doesn't really help considering that I can only pick out a few words in kanji.

I'm hoping that the two copies I ordered will show up during 'employee appreciation' days when my employee discount is %40 instead of %30

Soooooooooooooooooooo..................... I got my hands on the manga today. Here are my thoughts on the matter::
#1. I had to do some shopping at the mall and stopped at B.D (or is it E?) Daltons bookstore where I bought my Naruto #2 and asked about Hellsing. So the guy looks it up and tells me that it won't be out till end of Dec, early Jan.
#2. Went to Suncoast and asked. Chick said "we can't check on things like that, its a come and go situation." Yeah, what the F**k ever!
#3. My LAST RESORT was the anime place by my house. The lady had it, I bought it, and was a bit irked at the price. I can't believe they are charging $13.95 for this damn thing!!! My Naruto book is a bit taller and is about as thick as the Hellsing book and THEY only want $7.95. I don't know if this is Darkhorse's charging price or what but I think its a rip off unless I can find it cheaper elsewhere.
On the upscale, the manga seems pretty decent with the translations that I downloaded from the net a long time ago. They get a B for effort since I'm not happy about the price.

the price sucks... that is why I haven't run to my local comic book shop yet.... but it's driving me insane!! I want to read it NOW!
But, no. I must wait. $13.95 is a lot, especially considering I just bought a 3rd copy of Vol 6 (I bought mine and Arucard's, and just bought one for a friend..need to track one more down) for $6.90

I might get #6 eventually but its bad enough now that what am I going to do with my vol's 1-5 since they are all in japanese? Its not going to do me any good anymore to have them and I doubt that I'd get any buyers for them either.

This is the normal price for translated manga that I see all the time, in actual stores at least. Online you might be able to find it cheaper. But I don't think it is Dark Horse. On the very rare occasion I will see a manga for $9.99, but that is usually Tokyo Pop, and they do so much manga, they can afford to make them cheaper.
Of course, that just could be because of the "God-forsaken spit of land" that I live near. (referring to my town of course)
Still haven't found mine....
