Alright I hope everyone has seen the dubbed version of Inu Yasha, because basically that's what this is. japanese voice vs. English dubbed!
Ok, so my question which voice best fits the characters? I'm sorry but the following two i have my mind set on, Kirby Marrow and Richard Ian Cox, or rather English Miroku and Inu Yasha, I can't think of another voice that could fit them better, now on the other hand, my friend says that the japanese voice actor is better for Sesshomaru. All a matter of opinon, now what's everyone else's? Please respond.

I wouldn't change Miroku's American voice for anything... He's cute... and his voice is just wonderous... not to mention he also does the voice for Trowa.

I could go either way on Inuyasha's voice. I like both the American and Japanese version.

My only problem so far is the Japanese voices for females... they always sound too different from their character for me. Although the japanese for Kagome and Sango aren't horrible, I just prefer the American.

Well uh.. I think that says it all!

i actually prefer the japanese voices. i think they sound more indepth and more emotional, plus the pronunciation of names and stuff is much much better in the original japanese. (i still cant get over the fact that the english version pronounces Kirara as "Kilala," it just bugs me sometimes) but i totally have to agree with you on Miroku's english voice, kirby morrow is one of my fav english voice actors, next to mark hildreth of course :D . However, there are some voices that i cant stand in the japanese or english versions, *cough* Jaken *cough cough*

:D Whew! Long live Miroku's English Voice! :D

(I also have to agree on the "Kilala" point: sounds like some mutated Teletubby singing....ugh...)
Yes, I want to burn some Teletubby 'bye-bye'... :x

Miroku and Inu Yasha...luv both of them either way. As for Kagome's dub voice, I really am not too keen on her voice, so the JP voice for her. Kilala is not preferable; Kirara is better.
And that's it for now.

To tell the truth, i think almost all the japanese voices fit far better for the characters, especially Inuyasha and Kagome. In a way, i do kind of like Sesshoumaru's voice in dubbed better, but the Japanese also works. Everyone else, except maybe Kohaku and Sesshoumaru, i like much better in Japanese. Could i say "better" any more in three sentences?

I've not seen the dubbed version yet, so, as I normally do, I will choose the japanese voices over the american. However, reading that Miroku's dubbed voice is that of Kirby Marrow, I will have to watch the dubbed version...I've always loved his voice. 8) ~sigh~
Sesshoumaru's voice in japanese is lovely, in my opinion, btw.

Ah, Kirby Morrow...also the voice of Van Fanel in Escaflowne, correct? Van, Trowa, Miroku..three completely different characters, but all three oh, so fine! That Kirby's got quite the range. I heart him!

I've only heard the American voice actors, but without ever hearing it I know I'd like Sesshomaru's Japanese voice better. Now, the American guy is a great voice actor, but I imagine Fluffy with a deeper voice. I'd almost want to flip his American voice with Naraku's. Even when I read Sess ficcies, his voice gets deeper (a.k.a. sexier). Other than that, I think the American peeps do a good job, but I'd like to hear the Japanese voices, too.
