It had been 2 years since he?d last watched her, spoken to her, basked in her presence. After leaving to 'discover his humanity,' he?d realized that without the ability to do those things, he could never truly live.
So he returned, believing that she reciprocated his feelings, so much that she would have waited for him.
?Why did you come back, Heero??
?I need you,? he stated.
?Heero, I had a child?? Relena said, pointing to the baby room?s closed doors. Memories of his last night with Relena flooded Heero?s mind.
?Is it??? Heero started.
?No Heero, she?s not yours. Now I?m going to have to ask you to do what you do best. Leave."
