Sorry for putting something like this in this section and I'm sorry if this brings any false hope of a FMP fanfic. I just wanted to say this series is awesome and I admire those who can write fanfics about it. Funny and energetic this anime opens my eyes to other anime other than Cowboy Bebop. It shows me other paths that can be taken. I simply love this series and I can't wait to read more. This is CBF signing out.

I don't think you should be sorry about posting what you did. It just goes to show people that all anime is not the same but can still be enjoyed by just about everyone. I for one am a huge fan of Cowboy Bebop and really would like to see another season produced by the team that put it together, (I somehow belive that Spike didnt die, he is tougher then that.) but I also like FMP and all the characters. I'm pretty sure there are alot more other people who just don't like one anime as opposed to another. If you think about it, your post is a very good compliment to all the FMP fan fics because they got a Bebop fan reading them. Don't be afraid to be honest about your opinions. That is one freedom nobody can take away from a person. I salute you!!

If you look at the Buddhist overtones throughout the series, you can convince yourself that Spike was enlightened, not killed. ^_^
Still, I'm glad they haven't made a sequel to CB. It's good that they aren't trying to cash in on a popular series. If anything, I'd like to see a prequel made (If you're familiar with the "A Better Tomorrow" films done by Tsui Hark and John Woo, it'd be like "A Better Tomorrow III") that fleshes out the story before the series. You know, the exact story of Spike, Julia and Vicious' relationship...

I am happy to say following up on this post. I bought Full Metal Panic! DVD1 in the collector's box and also got the free t-shirt that came inside and I've been wearing all the time. I thank you guys for replying to this post I am looking forward to purchasing more FMP and reading more fanfics.
