Fighters

13x11, more or less
101 words
Rated G

A fighter can’t afford to have long flowing hair. It gets in the way – caught in the armor or the machinery, pulled and broken. It is a weakness. So instead its long beauty is bound up and hidden from the world, weakness concealed.
He loved her hair. And yet, when he was alive, she had bound it up, concealed, a weakness, although she loved him. Because she also fought for him.

Yet there is more than one way to fight. So, taking his daughter with the bright red hair to visit his grave, her hair is free, dancing in the wind.

Interesting concept with what you used. But when it comes to this pair, it seems that anything could work when it comes to writing them. Just wished I could do it but those aristocratic military types always hurts my brain. Good job on the drabble though.

Awwwwww. How bittersweet. Une finally reveals her "weak" self only after her love has died ::sniffs:: It definitely touched me. Nice work!
