He could only stare at it. Afraid to touch; a memory of blue and gold. Soft and light as a feather, and still heavy with remembrance. Angry with himself, he took it in his hands, his thumb running over it, unconsciously.

She was gone. He could still remember the deepness of her eyes, the scent of her hair. She was just a memory, although he could very much still feel the warmth of her skin against his… The era had died with her, and so had he.

His tight grasp loosened, and the silky tress of golden hair, tied together in a blue bow, slipped to the floor… Heero closed his eyes, the last of breaths forever leaving his lungs…

Awww... Although that was sad, I'm glad that you ended it that way. As much as I am tempted to say "to Hell with it" and torture Heero sometimes, this ending suits this drabble very well. Sometimes it's just better to give him peace as well. Now at least, he can be happy... Just think of it that way.

I really liked it! I was in the mood for something a little more on the somber side, and this one was great. Nice job.
