What are the other skills of Whispered people?
In addition to the knowledge discussed above, Whispered people can initiate a Lamda Driver System, something fairly major.
They also have a telepathic ability, both with Lamda Driver systems, and with other Whispered.
Other skills and abilities are still unknown.

If I'm reading this properly, does it imply that to operate the lambda driver in the AS, the pilot has to be a whispered? That a run of the mill pilot won't do? If so, that means Sousuke and Gauron are Whispered? Another piece of evidence that Sousuke might be Whispered, is that in the anime, it seemed he could hear Kaname telepathically when she was in control of the Tuatha de Danaan.

Interesting stuff. I haven't seen the whole series so I can't hoenstly say, but it is intriuging.

I don't think Gauron and Sousuke are Whispered... I think that you only need a Whispered to initiate the Lambda Driver and then it depends on the pilot (If you remember, Gauron is much more skilled with his Lambda Driver than Sousuke is, probably due to experience/craziness.) As far as I can tell, the Lambda Driver is just an application of 'Black Technology.'

If either of them were Whispered, I imagine they would've had one of those weird experiences like Kaname had. There is the fact that he could hear/see Kaname in the anime but wasn't she in that pod-type thing? I'll have to rewatch the episode but I think that may have been the Lambda Driver of the Tuatha De Danaan.

I imagine the novels explain it all more. There's a rumor going around that ADV will translate them one of these days, along with the Nadesico novels. Nice, huh?
