Whispered and Heard : Perceiving sound
Prologue
Chilled and wet fingertips slithered across the small apartment window leaving a minuscule trail of smudge marks in their path. A dainty reflection of herself stared coldly at her. It almost felt as if her fingers were touching herself. Cold, everything felt cold. Her fingertips felt cold and even her small window. It all felt the same. It was that same feeling of loneliness. It?s the way she felt without him.
Her eyes finally gazed slightly over to her face and stared blankly at her own reflection. There was a heartless expression on those empty eyes and the fixed downward curve of her lips. Did she really stare at people like that? It was no wonder Souske didn?t want to get close to her. Or was it her who wouldn?t let anyone else close?
?Sagara? She mumbled suddenly causing the hot thickness off her breath to fog up the window as if saying his name would temporarily erase her spiteful reflection. She watched slowly as the mist evaporated revealing that same face. The face she didn?t want to see. She always said it was Sousuke that she didn?t want to see but in reality she wished she could hide. Hide away in the thick fog that covered everything up with lies. Instead of facing the truth that the man she cared for would never be there.
?Why did you leave!?!?? She screamed. Lightning stroked the sky and as her fists hit the hard wood ceil of the window thunder shrieked loud and piercing just as her words were. Her knees hit the floor a resounding thud as she rested her body weight on them. One fist still clenched tight on the ceil. ?No? I?m wrong I left you on that plane back to Japan.?
She stayed like that for what seemed like hours only listening to sounds of beating raindrops against the glass until a small ring emitted from her phone. She thought she was dreaming but then realized it was her phone. Her eyes opened slowly but she made no movement to get up, listening to the mixed melody of pounding and ringing that sounded in her silent room.
She waited for the answering machine to pick up and was relieved when she heard it beep. She really had not strength to get up or talk to whoever it was and was glad that she didn?t have to answer her phone. She hated missing calls and not knowing who called. Secretly she hated missing calls because she was always hoping it was him on the other line. Even though Mithril would probably never allow any communications on an unsecured line but she still had her hopes. A voice from the speaker broke through the rain. ?Kaname!!? She easily recognized it as the voice of her best friend Tokiwa, Kyouko. ?Kaname!! I know your there so pick up already! Oh come on the dates I?ve thrown at you have not been that bad! Alright, alright I?m sorry okay. No more sleazy slime balls for you but there is this cute French exchange student and he?s got the most gorgeous hair and accent you have to meet him. Maybe on a date? Okay, okay never mind. What I really called was to tell you that I printed off the pictures you took on that trip with Souske. There?s a really cute one of you guys fishing and... Beep!
Kaname shifted her head towards the answering machine. Reviewing in her head everything her spunky friend had just said. Most of all she was remembering that day of fishing at the beach. It was just after the Tuatha de Danaan incident. It was one of the few times she spent alone with him. She wished she had been respectful of Sousuke and showed her appreciation openly to him but it was to late now. ?Damn it.? She cursed to herself. ?If only he was here.? She wrapped her arms around herself resting her back against the smooth white walls for support. She was finally able to understand all her emotions but all she could do was sit there with her bottom lip quivering. Not even realizing the blinking red light of a second message.

Authors Note: Okay that was a little prologue. I?m not sure if it came out the way I wanted. I?m actually surprised I?m writing. I love writing but I either loose my notes or get lazy and then I don?t post following chapters. I?ll try to keep up! I love FMP! And a whole bunch of other series but this is really my first posted story on the internet. I?m too embarrassed to post my work. I know I probably made some mistakes but please bare with me I really just wanted to get this out and get some more FMP! Fanfictions out there!
There were a few minor spoilers in there but there really not noticeable.
Also since FMP! Second season isn?t even out and we don?t really know all that much about the whispered I do plan on putting my own little twist on it. Gomen nasai!!!!!!
