'Ullo, all! Well, dearest Carrier and myself have decided to start a bit of a Round Robin with the lot of you. If you would like to contribute, please list yourself after some one... Which, at this point, would be the Lady Carrier herself. Now, It's my duty to start.

No one involved owns Gundam Series Wing, unless there is something I do not know about one of you.

"The mansion had finally fell silent, the maids and butlers and cleaning personel all turning in for the night. Only those who were there to watch her were to stay up this late.
"For every shift change, there is a chosen one. He alone shall stand up to the terrorists and papparazi who threaten Relena. Tonight, he is Heero Yuy." Duo grinned, amused as he always seemed to be. His relief looked at him questioningly, one eye brow raised in what could be a rather comical gesture on anyone else. I imagine he has to be over the top, or no one would know his emotions...

"Duo." Heero nodded his head in a greeting, attmepting to be less caullous then usual. The braided boy returned his nod, and walked away, happy to get some sleep. Heero leaned against the large doors of a woman's
(The woman, His woman)
room, his arms crossed over his chest. He listened to the hall, the sounds receeding, and leaving nill after chasing away Duo's footsteps. No sounds from behind the door, as usual. His heart pounded loudly in his ears, and he sighed.
He put his hand on the door handle, now, debaiting whether or not to open the door. It was a familiar battle, and he hand long since given up putting effort into the respect-her-privacy, you-act-like-a-stalker points of his arguement and opened the door.
Her position looked ackward beneath the sheets, and her chest fail to rise or fall. He quickly rushed to the bed, and threw off the sheets, cursing loudly as he saw the simple pillow outline where she should be.
He threw the pillows into dissare, searching for a girl who was obviously not there. What he did find, was a simple tape recorder, loaded with a white tape.
"Damn." He pulled up his two-way radio, and spouted orders into it, commanding a search of the premmisses, full on gaurds, and questioning of friends and family. Merely the usual. He slide the thing back onto his belt, ignoring the others banter. With a breath, he pressed the play button.
"Hello, Mister Yuy! I see you've found the lady missing! Ah, do not curse your companion's incompitance yet. I made full sure the girl was abducted while in your care! But now, onto business. Should you ever wish to see the lovely girl again..."

Heero listened to the tape with growing anger and frustration. The voice was taunting him. He didn't care about his own pride right hten, damn it! He wanted to know where the fuck she was!

<i>" . . . it is rather funny that she could be taken right out from under your nose like this, is it not?"</I>

At that point, there were other people beginning to enter the room. Guards from outside, running to check the balconey, and others beginning to look for traces of a struggle or blood. They would find nothing. Heero had already began a quick overlooking of the premises, only to to find zip.

Duo, also, had returned, having not left the estate yet. Soon, special Preventers CSI would arrive.

" . . In any case . . . the precious White Dove is in our care. If you would like her returned . . . the "Perfect" soldier must come to a certain wooden shack located on a certain beach . . . you know where, Heero." Heero ground his teeth. Yes, he knew. Relena had taken him there only a few weeks before, a quick escape from new reporters and paparazzi before come huge conference. They had spent most of the day there, to Heero's great chargrin (it was not properly done up with security) But Relena had enjoyed what she had called "A Break" . . . and Heero had later found that he had also enjoyed it, despite his stress over her safety. If he stressed too much over her safety, it was only because she didn't care enough . . .

No matter. They knew too much about him and Relena, and Heero did not like it at all.

"Come right away. You must arrive before midnight. Bring anyone with you and we kill her . . . immediately. And you will never know what happened."

Shit . . . Heero closed his eyes. Duo was at his side, solemn for once.

"Whoa . . . what are you gonna do, man?"

"... what are you gonna do, man?"

"My job," he replied curtly and headed for the door.

"But... Hey! Wait a minute! Wadayah want me to do?" Duo ran to catch up.

Heero contemplated for a moment. The message clearly stated that he, alone should go, and anyway, he was quite competent. He ran a plan through his head, keeping mind the back door and windows, he would need the Preventers to ambush the abductor and any of his accomplices if they tried to escape.

He flipped his wrist and checked the time. 11:28... Tick-Tock Shoving open the front door to Relena's mansion, he barked, "Notify Une. She'll take over, but at a gunshot signal, breach. Got it?"

"Umn-himn!" Duo nodded as they made their way over to Heero's BMW.

He winked as Heero unlocked his car with a bleep and entered. "This time, buddy, don't forget to sweep the lady off her feet! Never know what you might find under those clothes of hers..." Duo grinned mischievously.

Heero snorted and slammed the car door shut louder than necessary and started the engine. "A little blue bird told me she's fond of thongs!" The braided pilot continued. Heero glared daggers at his "friend" and shifted the car into gear.

"The shack's on a beach ten miles from here--"

"Hilde probably knows where it is, buddy! She got a tan down there with Jousan last Monday. It's all covered!" Duo grinned, his unusually narrowed eyes betraying his cheerful nature.

Heero sensed his companion's uneasiness and stated firmly, "She'll be back by sunrise." Duo nodded and watched the car drive away into the night.

The car ride over was spent in contemplation over his own incompetence...

He should have been thinking of how he would once again rescue Relena from yet another threat. But his own concious was turning on him, laughing at him, wondering how anyone could call him the perfect soldier.

It wasn't long before he was parking the car and running swiftly towards a wooden shack located near the end of the beach. He knew without a doubt that back-up was on its way, a small reassurance as he neared the shacks door that would soon lead him to Relena and her captor...

Without a second thought as to whether or not he should have checked out the shack before entering, he swiftly pulled out one of two guns safely hidden before knocking down the door and entering...

To his chagrin all he found was another tape recorder, a note taped on the side. Walking over, the note read 'press play'

He quickly checked the inside of the shack, before pressing the play button...

He was caught off guard by the speaker... he knew that voice...

"Heero..."

<i>"Heero . . ."</i>

It was Relena's voice.

<i> "I'm okay. They knew you were bringing backup . . . so they moved me again."</I>

How the hell had they known about backup? He hadn't told anyone but Duo! That idiot must've gotten the information leaked somehow . . . Actually, Heero was trying to logically arrange the whole mess in his mind so that none of it was his fault. It would really be easier that way . . . if only the throbbing vein of doubt and guilt would stop pulsing so strongly in his mind.

<i>"They knew . . ." </I>

Damn it! This meant there were spies in the security. But who?

<i>"Heero, the note will show you where they will contact you next, and when. They say . . .they say that if you don't come alone the second time, you'll . . . you'll never see me again."</i>

Her voice had wavered. Heero's fist clenched. He wanted to strangle anyone who would dare make her waver . . .

He listened to her voice with everything he had. Her voice stopped moments later, with a lingering, "I have faith in you. Don't worry . . ."

If only she could talk to him in person! She could be dead by now . . . it would be his fault . . . because of <i>his</i> inadaquecies . . .He couldn't think about that now. He had to save her, make her safe first. She always came first.

Then he would resign his position in her security team. He was too inadaquet, wasn't he? She deserved better, much better, and he didn't deserve her, certainly . . .

Alright. He'd do his best for now. Taking the note, he walked slowly out of the shack, careful not to disturb anything else. Hopefully diagnostics would find something of use. Fingerprints, DNA . . . anything.

<I>I'll find you, Relena.</I>

"I'll find you Relena."
Heero took a glance at the note. It read Old abandoned ware house on the conner of Jonstone St. and Kimble Rd.
But that was all the way on the other side of town. It might take awile for him to get there.

He pulled his portable communicator out and told Une the situation.

"How the Hell did they know?!" Was the first thing said from her.

"I'm not sure, but I suspect an information leak.

"I'll further investigate the matter. Right now you have to secure the Vice Forgin Minister."

"I'll do just that. Over."

"Over and out."

Heero quickly left the shack and headed for the old abandoned ware house.
