me. Raine the procrastinator. Anyway, here it is. You'll probably
kill me for the way i ended this chapter but i got Heero and his
bazooka on my side so...try! haha. Enjoy!
It had been so easy that she felt almost bereft of what should have been a challenge provided specifically for her to get certain thrills. But the escape from the Peacecraft mansion she now termed as ?the jail? lacked the adventure she had anticipated. She sighed into the night even as the sound of her motorcycle racing against the cold wind chased the wistfulness away. For the first time in five whole days, she felt herself grasped hold of freedom. Ahead of her, the busy life of the Sanc?s main city flashed into view. She smiled in anticipation.
The smell of alcohol and cigarettes were the first things that assaulted her senses when she entered the crowded room. She had forgotten just how full the club could get during the weekends. She found her way to the bar and ordered herself a bottle of beer while she studied the room for the familiar faces. She wondered what was taking him so long.
The first trouble came in the form of a cocky man built like a mafia don?s bodyguard. The man?s sleazy eyes traveled from the top of Relena?s blonde head to the tips of her black high-heeled boots. She had yet to notice him standing behind her. The man was about to move in for the kill when a soft whisper drifted near his ears.
?I wouldn?t mess with that one if I were you.? Came the amused advise which the cocky man answered with a glare. The man behind him stood in shadows but the indulgent smile was visible. ?Don?t say I didn?t warn you.?
The man?s attention returned to the blonde sitting alone on the bar?s stool. Boldly and without announcement, he trailed one hand up her thigh and prepared himself to dazzle the blonde beauty. He never saw the fury of fist that broke his nose and made him stagger with such momentum that he landed on his backside. He heard a bone crack and he howled in pain, cradling his bloody nose in his hands and muttering ugly obscenities in between. The crowd paused once to glance down at the man and then all simultaneously went back to mind their own business.
Relena arched an elegant eyebrow at the howling man on the floor before turning back to her bottle of beer. A chuckle behind her turned her attention and she met startling blue eyes.
?I warned him.? A smile lifted the corner of the laughing man?s mouth and made him seem almost like a boy were it not for the fact that he towered over most men.
Relena returned the smile full forced as she lunged herself into the man?s waiting arms. She laughed as he caught her and she held on to blonde locks.
?Treize! My god, you don?t know how good it is to see you.? She whispered breathlessly as he planted her on the ground and held her in arms length. Not to set her away but only to study her.
?You?ve lost a little weight,? He observed with a small frown that made his elegant features all the more threatening. ?And by the way you just greeted me, you also sounded a little desperate.?
Relena fought the urge to lean into him to borrow some strength even as she felt herself weaken at his concern. But she knew better than to lean on anyone. Even Treize Kushrenada who was as solid as a man could get.
?I?m ok, Treize. Really. Just?you know.? She shrugged a delicate shoulder as if it didn?t matter. ?I?ve missed flying, that?s all.?
Treize softened his expression and smiled in sympathy for the sad girl. He tucked a strand of hair behind an ear and caressed her soft cheek. In a gentle voice he murmured, ?Ahhh?my poor wild phoenix. They bind your wings and won?t let you fly. Such cruelty.?
She smiled at his mention of her secret name known only by those who understood her desire for the wildest adventures. She pressed herself close to his warmth for a few seconds before standing apart again. ?I needed this. I needed it so much.? She admitted in a soft tone.
Dark Prussian orbs studied the scene from the dark corner of the smoke-filled room and frowned slightly.
?Treize Kushrenada. Flight instructor. 24 years old?? Duo Maxwell paused in his recital while perusing his palm-size computer. He grinned mischievously at the dark scowl on Heero?s face. ?He?s also single and seemed to be more than a little interested in our rebellious princess.?
Heero Yuy ignored the braided man beside him and tried to see through the haze of smoke to where Relena and the man called Treize sat close to each other in what seemed to be an intimate conversation. He shook his head disapprovingly at the memory of the scene just a few moments ago. Relena Peacecraft always could pack a mean right.
?Well?what do we do now?? Duo insisted even as he grinned and thought about doing nothing at all.
?We wait and see what kind of trouble she?ll get herself into next.?
Duo chuckled softly, remembering the face of the man whose nose Relena had broken without preamble. ?Don?t you think she can handle herself? And that Treize guy looks like he can take on anyone. What?s there to worry about??
Heero turned his ferocious glare on Duo. ?You don?t quite understand. Relena Peacecraft is a disaster waiting to happen.?
?Then why didn?t we end this at the very beginning instead of having to come all the way to this disgusting place and watch while she attracts disaster?? The Chinese man hiding in the shadows with them finally spoke in a surly tone, his distaste clear.
Green eyes sparkled in the dark like precious gems while a hesitant smile pulled at the corners of his sensual mouth. ?Nobody can stop Relena Peacecraft when she sets her mind to something. All you can do is watch and wait for the moment to be of certain use.?
?Damage control.? Duo chuckled appreciatively. ?We?re the damage control team.?
Sensitive blue eyes studied Heero and Trowa curiously. ?So, you two have encountered this kind of situation with Ms. Relena before??
Prussian and green met in a silent conversation before nodding in unison.
?Hmmm?? was all that Quatre was able to emit.
Then all attention focused solely on stampeding of what could only be a group of tough and dirty bikers heading purposely to where Relena and Treize sat by the bar. The anger emanating from them was unmistakeable. A man with strips of band-aids plastered on his nose lagged behind the group of men, his face set in a scowl that resembled that of a little boy whose toys had been stolen by kids bigger than him.
Five men alerted and stiffened in recognition of a trouble brewing. They had to be ready in case things got rough.
Duo Maxwell smiled in anticipation. ?Damage control time.?

I'm a little upset that Relena seems very fond 
This is so coooool!! Relena being the untamable phoenix.....and Heero in the Damage control team.....it's very interesting and I want more please. :o
