The sound of the door opening forcefully alerted heads outside the waiting room. The sight of a gun held by a Prussian eyed man startled them into blinking furiously in both consternation and alarm.
Milliardo Peacecraft frowned before moving to intercept the murderous man. A cool hand halted his progress as a cool voice commanded, ?Stay. It?s me he wants.?
Silence descended as the two men faced each other. Prussian blue glinted with betrayal but brilliant greens only stared back in defiant.
?Green eyes.?
?You were gone when she needed you and I wanted her. Your loss.?
?And your child.?
